Okay...fooling around with google on this one...and found another discussion thread that has a LOT of books listed regarding cloning/reproduction...might trigger a memory?http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/6...
One book of stories that sounded promising, but they said they almost missed was
Not of Woman Born. May be way off, but since you said it might be a story, thought you might want to take a look.
I'm 90% sure that there's no story like that in Not of Woman Born. I can try and take a look sometime in the next few days, though. (My main bookshelf collapsed and as a result things are a bit disorganized.)Neat thread, though, Beth. Thanks for the link.
Double Helix is not it, I read it looking for this book :)I'll get through that thread as soon as I can, it looks awesome!
This particular book or story is an adult level story-there's a bit about the parents' disappointment (even horror) about what happened to the original genetic children they would have had, compared to what they got.
thanks for all the help, though I sure hope we figure it out!
It's not in that thread, though I've now added several books to my amazon wish list and library requests, lol.

I remember that a person (man) had released a virus that caused women to become pregnant with clones of him-thousands or millions of them.
The guy wasn't like some super attractive dude, either, he was a typical geek.
Spoiler- the kids had a tutor/therapist who turned out to be the actual clone guy.
help?
