My dear, all I can say is watch it if you dare. I think it was a brilliant movie, but yeah it will definitely offend America. Big time.
I saw this movie over the weekend and I'll borrow a phrase from my son and say it was some mad shit! (Pardon the French!).
This film has positively left me at a complete and utter lost of words. I've never seen a more horrific picture in my life, and yet, it is perhaps one of the best films I've seen so far in 2011.
I didn't even know Serbia had a film industry (it does and a very thriving one too) until I saw this film. And man, what an introduction!
The film features the not so old, but very used up retired porn star, Milos. After many years of debauchery in the Serbian porn industry, Milos is happy to settle into family life with his beautiful wife and son. They live comfortably, but can always do with a little more money -- it is after all post war Serbia and the country is still trying to find its sea legs after years of violence and depravity. Milos has no interest or desire to back into the porn business, but when a former colleague of the trade tells him about a job that will pay him a sum that he can't possibly refuse Milos agrees to do this one last job in an effort to set himself and his family up for life. It was a decision that changed his life forever...
Wow, what I can I say, what can I say ... it's been 3 days and I'm still speechless.
I'm equally appalled and disgusted as I am impressed with the artistic merit of this film.
The following review pretty much sums up exactly what I can't put into words myself:

I don't recommend reading the comments if you don't want to be spoiled (though I don't imagine any of you here will want to see this film). This film has all the trappings of a cult hit, but seriously, I don't think it will be much appreciated beyond diehard film fans. I don't regret seeing the film myself because at the end of the day what appealed to me, what touched me was the inherent human story that lay beneath all the gore.
Don't get me wrong, this film is not just your typical slasher movie. Unlike Saw and Hostel and other movies like those, the violence here is stunning, but not gratuituous. I think that's what makes it stand out for me. It's funny the horrific imagines were so very much in the audience's face, but its true message is hidden beneath all the ugliness. This is what made it work for me artistically even though 3 days after watching it still haunts me and makes me feel like I want to wash out my eye balls with bleach.
This film is definitely, definitely not for everyone. If not appreciated objectively, for its artistic value rather than its shocking and horrific content, it is a tolerable piece of cinematic genius.
