Perdido Street Station's editions all seem to have different reviews (often lengthy) in their description field. These seem to be taking the place of a description, sort of as a way of getting the reviews out to more eyes ?
Some of these embedded reviews in the desc field have links to the reviewer's page(s) and the reviewers' own books for sale -Sort of an opportunistic way to shill your books, in the middle of a review of someone else's book in place of its description? Anyway, before i delete these reviews as descriptions forPerdido Street Station and replace them whith actual descriptions from the publisher, I thought I'd better ask because this title has had a lot of librarian change actions including by GR staff and I don't want to step on any toes!
I went ahead and replaced it with the B&N synopsis...looks like the Amazon site has reviews for the synopsis, and switching to B&N didn't change it...I think I got them all...all that were in English, anyway.
