Lisarenee | 7659 comments Does this type of swap interest anyone? Any thoughts on how we'd handle this type of swap/loan?

Sans You know me, I'm happy to lend my books out as long as the lendee takes care of the books and tries to return it in the same condition it arrived in. Sorry, really anal with what shape my books are in. ^_^

Now that I have internet at home again, I'm working to update my shelves with what I already own.

Rachel (treychel) | 1484 comments I would do it. However, I am with Sans. I tend to only loan to people that I know would take care of them, return them in the same condition, AND simply return them. So, with that said, if you have a hard time maintaining a book's condition, please think twice when lending from me. I know accidents happen and I will give a second chance to anyone of you, but after that I'm not so sure! :) I will also try to begin updating my Owned shelf.

Susan Gottfried (westofmars) I am an avid book trader, and always willing to send a book off on its new journey. (No need to return it to me, obviously) I'm also a BookCrosser, so all my books are labelled inside (and, if it's a book that came to me from someone else, they may have labels on the outside).

If it'll get me reading it and sending it on its way, I am always happy to share. I've got a huge stack of books in here that I've read but haven't been able to share yet. It's sad. These books are ready to move on.

Oh, and yes I'm an author who advocates sharing books. If money grew on trees, maybe I wouldn't be. But I've sure found a lot of authors whose books have become auto-buys because my first encounter was, for all intents and purposes, free. If I'd had to take that initial plunge, forget it. I'd have never read most of them.

Shadow Jubilee (uhqs) I prefer to use Paperbackswap.com and if anyone else is a member of that community, you are welcome to browse my bookshelf. However, I mostly have YA and children's books (hate to see the old books moldering in the attic) with some romance, fantasy, and classic books with a couple of nonfiction.

Susan Gottfried (westofmars) Niquae, I'm a PBS'er ... for eons now. 2003, I think? I'm very happy with it, although I wish people would be better about posting books with water damage.

Shadow Jubilee (uhqs) I'm very happy to have found paperbackswap.com. I only discovered it a few months ago. It is my preferred method of obtaining books now other than free and library. :D

Amy J. | 686 comments I'm also on PBS. I love it when I can get books there. Its the first place I check, but I'm always low on credits, and I'm not always very patient.

Lisa S (kasey_k_fan) If anyone is interested in mystery/thrillers, I have several to let go.

Jennifer Reeves (barefootdokusha) | 0 comments I am on PaperBackSwap. You can find me under JeniNicole83@gmail.com. I post books that are given to me from freecycle that I won't read, and ones that I've read that I don't mind sending on. I just have a few books that I won't let go and it's the ones I know I'll reread over and over. I had found PBS before I found GR and it was my favorite site to be on before this one!
