Barb, the number of non-professional but skilled nail artists is staggering. If I want nail art, I usually just cheat and use stickers or crackle polish. :)
It looks to me like she may have painted fake nails and then applied them. Doesn't make the skill any less, but they don't look like natural nails.

Actually, she comented that she would have trouble reproducing the effect on her right hand, which made me think it was done on her actual nails, or at least nails already attached...?
On her actual nails, I think. From what I've read in following her blog, she uses nail wheels to practice before she tries new art on her fingernails.

I just looked at the pictures, and as her nails look ridiculously perfect, assumed they were fake.

I have a glittery green on my nails at the moment (yay new nail polishes!). It's like having christmas trees on your fingers.

I'll play! I say... her real nails this time. Janine, you are a neat nail painter; I always manage to slop some up onto my cuticles etc.
I don't like doing cleanup so I try to make sure I don't have to, which can be difficult when you're watching Friends while painting your nails.
