Idk what color mine should be. I have about 30 different polishes, so it's always hard to choose.

Laurin, want me to pick a color for you?I just removed my deep blue magnetized nail polish in preparation for a morning of swatching tomorrow.
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I...that's the only bright red that I have. I'll paint them in the morning.
I painted my nails. They looked nice. A little sloppy (since my nails are perpetually stubby due to my circulatory problems), but nice. Then I moved something and caught my nail. Now one is all chipped and pokey. :/
I love red. Especially my Street Corner Whore Red. ;)I need to paint my toes and fingernails, but I can't decide which color, either. I have just about every color imaginable and I just bought some crackle polish. I actually bought 2 crackle polishes but one of them disappeared between the store and home. $6 down the drain. Yeah, I know......cheap polish, but still.
*mourns for Angela's lost crackle*Maybe it's hiding in the car?
My nails are a dark reddish purple with lighter waves (magnetized polish).
My nails looked good (and not pokey ;)) and then I started cleaning. Now there is a spot in the middle of my thumb nail that is missing polish.
Heidi, here's my blue magnetized polish: http://baublesandbubbles.blogspot.comLaurin, sorry about the hole in your polish. :(
I keep thinking I'll do the newsprint manicure, but I haven't gotten caught up on my swatching yet!

That's really cute. I bet it's a bitch to remove though; glitter always is.

I'm really hard on my hands, so it usually chips off. Then I just pick at it with a safety pin, which I know isn't good.
But when I do remove it, it's a pain in the ass.
Laurin, have you tried the foil method yet? That manicure looks great.Heidi, you are making me blush--thank you! And that's one of my favorite Mom stories too.
Takes one to know one!I have on the purple magnetized polish today--pictures on the blog linked below.

Foil method?
That's my cat, lol.
Fingers are Wet N' Wild - Kaleidoscope.
Toes are Sally Hansen Hard as Nails - Red Carpet.
Lobstergirl wrote: "Is that a Time magazine which is one-inch wide?"It is Time magazine, but it's the normal side. My cat was sitting on my lap, and the magazine in on the floor.

Foil method?"
You get cotton balls really wet with polish remover, stick them on your nails, then wrap aluminum foil over the cotton balls and wait for ten minutes--most glitters will come off as you remove the foil and cotton.
Would saran wrap or wax paper work as well as foil for this foil method? What about construction paper or poster board? Maybe bubblegum?
Heidi, probably saran wrap would work, wax paper probably wouldn't, ditto construction paper and poster board and using bubblegum to remove nail polish might be like inviting a lion into your home to get rid of mice.Oh, but painter's tape works very well, as does medical tape. :)
I was walking with Jackie once in Olympia when we ducked under some crime scene tape on our way around the lake.
Lobstergirl wrote: "How about crime scene tape?"I haven't tried that, but if you'd experiment and report back to the class, I'll give you extra credit.
I don't have the patience lately to wait for my nails to dry, so they've been nekkid for quite some time. One of my favorite polishes is a discontinued Revlon shade KhakiZing and I'm thinking I may actually use it tonight.[image error]
The picture doesn't give the best impression, as it's a highly iridescent shade with hints of blue and green as well as the purple base.
