Its released in the UK next month, so I have procurred the audiobook in preparation and will be listening to it in the next couple of weeks. I'll be my first Ishiguro, an author I have heard find things about!

Did you ever see the movie? I really liked the book, it was heartbreaking and beautiful - I think the movie tried for that same mood but it didn't quite translate for me....I thought the movie was a little slow.

I saw the movie quite some time ago but recently read the book. I think I would have enjoyed the book more if I hadn't seen the film first. The book was significantly better than the movie. Now I want to read and watch "Remains of the Day" also by Ishiguro.
