Oh, was she?
She was the little girl who played the demon possessed kid in the 1973 version? Cool.

Yeah, her portrayal was very convincing. The scene that stood out for me was when she stormed down the stairs leaned over backwards. That image has been stuck in my mind since I first saw the movie years and years ago.

Now I can't get that scene out of my head, thanks Davina. LOL!

LOL, sorry Michelle.
This is good horror, though. It serves its purpose. I wish half the horror flicks coming out these days were as intelligent.

So any new yet to be released movies you're looking forward to?
I saw a trailer for The Roommate starring Leighton Meester (isn't the girl from that TV show set in Upper East side? Gossip something?) and Minka Kelly, formerly of Friday Night Lights yesterday. It looks like your usual, predictable psycho thriller, but I still think I'd like to see it.
There's also a movie coming out with Tatum Channing (O.M.G!!!) where he plays some sort of a gladiator. I don't know if that's ideal casting for him but I'm so gonna watch it anyway! :)

That's it! I don't know why I always think its Gossip World ... that doesn't even make sense. Anyway, I've seen a few episodes I actually think Meester is a far better actor than the lead actress.

You're not alone in watching stuff you normally wouldn't. I'm somewhat of a step-in mom for my brother's daughter ever since her mother was cut out of the picture (freaking woman is nuts). She's a great kid and she introduced me to the wonderful YA world of Twilight, Harry Potter, Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl and what have you. I only watch them when she's around, but its great fun. She's the daughter I've always wanted but never had. :)

I saw that too, and honestly thought it was a hoax at first. I feel bad saying it, but I just can't see it. Maybe it's because I look at him and I just see "Madea". I'm certain that he's read for the part, and impressed someone enough to get the part.

I actually don't mind that he's taking over the role. I've read most of the Alex Cross books and I didn't picture Cross looking like Morgan Freeman. I thought Freeman was/is far too old for the role. I think Perry is more age appropriate and he's handsome too so I'm happy, girls. I'll watch him in whatever Alex Cross movies they have planned. Besides, I'd like to see Perry outside his own domain and on somebody else's turf. It would be interesting to see how he fares.

I personally don't pay too much attention to reviews. They're just one guy's opinion and its often elitist, bordering on stupid. Moreover, the critic and I aren't always likely to have the same taste. I want to see The Rite too.

I want to see The Mechanic as well. Love me some Jason! Also want to see the new Big Momma movie. Is it out in theatres yet?

Who wants to see I'm Number Four? Doesn't it look like a bootleg X-Men.
I've heard that Roommate did well this weekend. I'm impressed b/c I definitely got that Single White Female vibe and didn't think it would do that good.

I think Martin Lawrence has the funniest facial expressions! He usually makes me laugh no matter what he does.
I got the same vibe about Roommatetoo, lol, but the film peaked my interest because that chick's in it. The one from (one of) my ex-favourite shows Friday Night Lights. I'll probably go see this sometime this week.

Friday Night Lights is a TV series based on the book of the same name. Stars Kyle Chandler (formerly of Early Edition) and Connie Britton who play Mr. & Mrs Coach to a bunch of high school misfits in the ficticous town of Dillon, Texas. It was good the first 2 seasons, but kinda went downhill from there. I think it has been cancelled if I remember correctly.

I really want to. One of my brother's is a movie addict. He goes to see all the movies when they're first released. He saw Legion and talked about it so much before I could cut him off, that I decided to wait.
