Robin (Saturndoo) (robinsaturndoo) The freebies haven't been that great the last couple of weeks. I'm not sure what's going on with them but this past week there were a couple of days where the freebies just weren't showing up or when I tried to go to the amazon page it wouldn't load and other weird strange things. It was very late in the evening when I finally got to see what they were.

I have thousands too Elishia and Jen. I have tried to get them all on my kindle to read shelf here on GR and it is a long, time consuming, tedious process which I'm sure I will never get done with. I'm sure I have hundreds of freebies that I will probably never want to read too but at least if I start a freebie and don't like it I don't feel obligated to finish it because it was free ☺ no money wasted LOL . I like both of you, have no self control, don't even know what that means, when it comes to freebies LOL

I don't blame you Elishia. I am going through my kindle now trying to get everything posted on my shelves here at GR and I have vowed that once I get them all done, from then on as soon as they download to my kindle I will immediately get them on my tbr shelf here. I won't be organizing this many books at once AGAIN.

Elishia | 2620 comments Most are sorted I had about 2000 to sort and down to 600 but the tags are annoying me

message 1261: by Robin (Saturndoo) (new)

Robin (Saturndoo) (robinsaturndoo) I checked my cloud at amazon and I have almost 7000 freebies...which I most certainly will never read. I'm sure some of them probably aren't worth wasting my time on. But of course, at the time, I thought I had to have them. Now that I am trying to get them all put on my shelves here at GR I wish I would have been a little more selective LOL and did the quality over quantity method.

My thoughts were if I had them on GR I could manage them a little better by seeing what their ratings were as well as see page numbers so that I could read the shorter ones first. The problem is I should have been adding them to my GR shelves on a daily basis instead of letting them pile up :(

Calibre.....I get so lost and confused trying to use Calibre. I have it on my computer and still trying to learn how to use it but I get so frustrated with it LOL I would love to learn how to convert books etc but my patience sometimes runs very thin LOL

willaful I think it's confusing because it's so incredibly flexible and versatile. There's just so much you can do with it! I just set it up to keep track of the books I read, because I'm feeling disenchanted with GoodReads lately. :-(

You can post your questions over on the Calibre thread and we'll all try answering as best we can. I'm sure that between us all we can come up with an answer! ;)

Robin (Saturndoo) (robinsaturndoo) OH my Carrie!!! I went and looked at my amazon cloud today and there was 7359 free books in it......I know that I am NOT going to read all those books. I know that some of them are probably poor quality books, stuff that I won't be interested in or have such bad editing I can't read them. Sooooooo, as I start to reading all those freebies from my kindle, if I don't like the books I won't feel guilty at all about immediately deleting them and MOVING ON ☺☺☺

LOL yeah....I think I actually bought and paid for 3 maybe 4 books, the rest are freebies. That's why I have been trying to get them all organized and added to my kindle tbr shelf here on GR so I can sort through them and see what I need to get rid of and what I want to keep and read LOLOLOLOL
