I'm constantly adding more even though I know I already have more than I could ever possibly read. I think I have a hoarding problem. LOL "

Oh thank god I am not the only one! I am a horrible hoarder of books! And this is like get your fix central! I'm always like - but it's free?! lol

ShoSho (shoshost) | 12263 comments Imagine looking through your Free-ebooks shelf for half an hour to select your next book and finally selecting The Angel at the Bar The Angel at the Bar by Tim Roux and then opening your kindle app to read and not finding it and after another 10 minutes searching your amazon receipt finding out that you have added the book to your free-ebook shelf WITHOUT BUYING IT!!!!!

I just did all of these things!!!! Grrrrr Ughhhhhhhh

Have you ever seen the movie "Confessions of a Shopaholic"? It is hysterical and so romantic. Anyway, she goes to a support group for people who shop too much and she gets them all to run out and go shopping! Too funny LOL

And Shosho, you were just being overly organized. That's the real problem!

message 1079: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments I saw the movie awhile ago, but I do have the book on Mt. TBR.

message 1080: by Elishia (new)

Elishia | 2620 comments Lol Leslie, I haven't watched the movie because I've only read half the series I didn't want to see any spoilers. Think she needs a support group though. Weirdly I just bought the rest of this series at the weekend.

Just to let you know the Eloisa James isn't free anymore :( i must have missed it!
But I really appreciate you posting them on here! (my poor list keeps getting longer!)

~Leslie~ (akareadingmachine) | 845 comments Jenny wrote: "Leslie, I haven't seen it, but is it the one based on the book by Sophie Kinsella? If so I have that book in my TBR pile."

The movie is a mix of the first two books. One of my daughters has read the first two books, and she told me. I haven't read them. I just love the movie. It has Hugh Dancy in it who I absolutely think is the cutest thing ever. And the shopaholic thing cracks me up - been there done that one!

Don't laugh at my lack of techno savvy lol - but some books say that they are able to be lent or "shared" how do you do that? thanks for any help!

message 1087: by Pauline (new)

Pauline (michiganpal) | 5 comments I'm not the most tech savvy either. I would like to know the answer to the question about lending as well. Also, what is the format of these books? Are they text files?

Pauline (michiganpal) | 5 comments ShoSho wrote: "Imagine looking through your Free-ebooks shelf for half an hour to select your next book and finally selecting The Angel at the Bar The Angel at the Bar by Tim Roux and then opening your kindle app..."

This sounds like a kissing cousin of the following: You download an audiobook and transfer it to a flash drive or other portable storage device. When you go to play it on your audiobook player, it isn't there or it gives you a weird error message. Later, when your foggy brain kicks back in or you examine your portable drive on the computer, you discover you forgot to unzip the book. Maddening!

message 1089: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Yes, Sandy & Pauline, what Jenny said. Be advised, the e-mail you receive about the book will be from Amazon. Also, you will need to give the lending person your personal e-mail and it should be the same as the one you use for your Kindle.

message 1090: by ~Leslie~ (new)

~Leslie~ (akareadingmachine) | 845 comments Also, if you purchase books from other sites, they are generally in EPUB format and these can also be shared. I good way is by using Dropbox.

I thought that kindle books were in Mobi format? I think you have to convert any Epub books that would work for say the nook to mobi before you can use on kindle?

thanks to everyone else for the lending help. Kinda complicated lol

message 1094: by ~Leslie~ (new)

~Leslie~ (akareadingmachine) | 845 comments You are right - kindle books are on a different format. I was talking about purchasing books from say Smashwords or Discover A New Love. You can download them as epubs to Dropbox and then share them as well as put them on the Nook.
I like things about the Nook and things about Kindle. I have a nook that converts to an Android tablet and then I have the kindle app on it. I like to have options - lots and lots of options!!
