Robin (Saturndoo) (robinsaturndoo) I don't own a nook so I never go to Barnes&Noble and the site I use is strictly for kindle/amazon.

Josephine, do you have a program you can use to convert from AZW or mobi (kindle files), to epub or pdf? That's what I used to do to take advantage of all the freebies, before I got my kindle. I found calibre and Apprentice Alf's blog helped me with that a lot. Alternatively, you could download a Kindle for PC app onto your computer...?

That's what I do as I don't have a kindle either and the ones I can't convert I read on the PC version.

Elishia | 2620 comments No Intempro ereader http://www.amazon.co.uk/Intempo-E-Boo... never heard of them before but wasn't sure if i'd like an ebook reader so got a cheapish one

message 594: by Lina (new)

Lina | 5563 comments That makes sense. I did the same when I first got one, I had a Kobo. And before that I just used to read the ebooks on my computer. I've got my fingers crossed that they might open up an Amazon Australia soon.

message 595: by Elishia (new)

Elishia | 2620 comments I still read them on mine especially when my eyes start getting tired. Wow don't they have one? I've seen loads of other countries have them.

~Leslie~ (akareadingmachine) | 845 comments The other thing you can do if you have a nook color or tablet is purchase an SD card loaded with the Android operating system. You can then convert your nook to an android tablet and can go back and forth. When you access the android, you can download all the apps you want. I have the kindle apps and have access to all their books! I've been doing this for about a year and it's great.
CaroB - I use calibre and have never been able to get it to convert AZW files to epub. I can convert mobi files but no other. Just curious how you do this.
