Someone more familiar with Austen than I should have a look: http://www.goodreads.com/work/edition...
They appear to all be anthologies of her seven novels...different publishers, etc, but all complete anthologies...unless I'm missing something.
I can see how you got confused, Nyssa!Okay...the "complete" ones include all seven novels we're familiar with...the "eight" includes an unfinished novel, "Lady Susan."
Just MHO, but I'd leave them combined...
Glad to know I didn't completely mess up! :) I see two collections w/ Lady Susan. Actually, I see 3 w/ 8 and one w/ 9.
One of the "Complete Works" lists only 7, including "Lady Susan." The Complete Novels of Jane Austen This one includes "Love and Friendship" -- never heard of it... 8 Books in 1: Jane Austen's Complete Novels
And I saw at least one that has letters & stuff...but can't find it now. Some don't list what novels they include...so they could have the six finished ones, all seven, or eight...or any combo & some letters/correspondence.
The confusion never ends. Straightening up is a full time job it seems. So w/ this info in mind is it still okay to keep everything combined?
I'm thinking it's simpler to leave it combined...if someone is looking for an anthology, they'll have all sorts of choices...lol. Unless you want to try and track down all these volumes and sort them. I don't know about you, but I'd rather leave them combined.I'm not even sure which ones you combined, there are so many variations. :)

In my attempt to combine two "Jane Austen: The Complete Collection" editions I managed to merge 4. Here are my librarian edits: http://www.goodreads.com/librarian/us...
Can one of the more experienced librarians please take a look, and let me know if everything is ok. If not, let me know what I did wrong and I will work to fix it.
Thank you in Advance.
