Hi, my name is Rob Tobin. I'm a novelist and screenwriter. My novel "God Wars: Living with Angels" is coming out on March 1st and will be available on Amazon.com, BarnesandNobel.com among other major retail book sites. I also have a $15 million feature film in post production with a June release date, a $40 million feature in development with the director of "Die Hard" attached to direct and am a former book and magazine editor. I'm also a grad of USC's Master of Professional Writing M.A. program and a Canadian (though I live and write full-time in Southern California). I look forward to participating in the group.

Creature! Long time no talk. I also hope to be an author some day but the priority now is getting through college.
Hello:If only I could add one of my usual light-hearted comments but you are right. School is #1 priority so you don't have to go when you're 80 and bent over with rickets. Just, when you get done and make your millions, and then continue the trend by becoming a phenomonal author of books (uploaded directly into people's brains, how's that for creativity) just remember to leave a trail of money "crumbs" for poor ole' Creature to clean up (LOL)!
Anyway (That will be the title of the book of ME), good luck in school and remember; Rome wasn't built in a day and what significance that has with anything we're talking about I have no clue.
I just couldn't help myself. Ah, another serious conversation flushed down the drain.
I hope you get everything out of school that you can get and remember; You can build that first novel a page at a time while going to school. There is no hurry while attending school.
It's great talking to you. I hope you had a phenomonal New Year's weekend.

Creature,If only I could express how much that advice actually made sense to me...is that a bit odd? Even the part about Rome made perfect sense...course I have always enjoyed history. Anyway I seem to be babbling alot don't I...oh well that's who I am. I would really take your advice of writing a page a day but unfortunately sometimes when I get inspiration I just can't stop writing...to the unfortunate demise of everything else I should be doing. And then there are those days where I can't seem to get a single sentence right. But I promise that I will never give up and I will become a published author someday even if it's when I'm old and grey!

Hello:I understand completely about sessions when writing kind of takes over, sometimes for scary amounts of time. It's either feast or famine as far as output of writing goes.
I'm glad my cacaphony of words made sense to you, it all came from a place of well meaning. besides...How could you not understand when you were smart enough to escape my Volleys of cannon balls headed straight for that blasted ship ye be sailin' upon. Aye Lassie, tis a strong ship, and with a good sail at her back, ye scurvy dogs that ye be callin a crew can lead ye to safge harbor. Just promise when yer done with school you'll lob a few cannonballs back at the ole' Capn' here and his band of worthless Currs. AAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!
