my friend does though she has LOTS of dreams
her weirdest dream was like the holocaust except instead of jews it was asians
veeeeery strange/weird

I do too! Sometimes, I'll dream something but it really doesn't make sense until a few days/months/years later!
And my weirdest dream was that my friend and I were walking around Hogsmeade and we went into the Three Broomsticks and was flirting with everyone and we met up with these random guys and then we saw some of our teachers and planned a date as the same time as the other one so we went around avoiding them and giggling madly...

They could have a whole burning Hilton Hotel down there and watch each other make the others miserable.

So true the hitler part but don't you think Voldemorts snot too bad? Compared to Hitler, I mean voldemort didn't kill as many people....

That is an akward dream, was the guy in her L.A class?

Voldemort is as bad as you can get, in my opinion. You're right that he doesn't kill as many people, but that's because he is defeated before he can rule officially in his own name.

Lucky you. I remember my nightmares with a clarity that bothers me like crazy. Nightmares are practically the only thing I have, if you don't count the dream where I met J.D Salinger (he was alive in my dream, not dead like he is now).
I'd rather dream about the Harry Potter series which, oddly, I've never done, than always be dreaming about the stuff I do.

Well, are you counting the ones he ordered to be killed? As well as the Death Eaters/other magical creatures that died because of him, whether directly or not?

Yes, but I still don't think the number would be as large as the number of deaths that could be attributed to Hitler.

It could be! Even though he might not have killed as many people, whether directly or not, he is as bad as Hitler, if not worse. And Hitler, aside from being a total maniac, did help Germany get out its depression stage after WWI, so if only he wasn't so evil and vile...that's kinda like Heart of Darkness, now that I think about it...sorry off on another tangent!

But I completely agree that the numbers are irrelevant and that Voldemort is in no way "better" than Hitler. Voldemort would have killed more people if given the opportunity, I’m sure.

There's that little wizard people?! How much of the world's population is that? Isn't the world like 4.3 billion people? (or is that how long it's been around? I get those number mixed up...) Give me a second to calculate...
So that's .00035%? Please someone check my math! Math is not my strong suit!

The 12,00-15,000 is just the number for the wizards in Britain. (The world's population is around 6.97 billion, I think. The earth's age is about 4.5 billion years old. I get confused with the numbers too.)
Here's the paragraph about the population from HP wiki
"There is some confusion regarding the population of the wizarding world. The year Harry Potter entered Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, there were forty students that started school. This seems to indicate a very low birth rate, or a very low number of witches and wizards in Great Britain and Ireland, or a combination of both. Also, J. K. Rowling has stated that she imagines the wizarding population of the U.K. to be around 3,000. This estimate, although seemingly small, is understandable; a larger population would be far harder to hide from Muggles. However, she also stated that the number of students attending Hogwarts was around 1,000, which seems inconsistent with the 3,000 population estimate. Harry once observed in one Quidditch match that three-quarters of the stadium was supporting Gryffindor, while the Slytherin supporters numbered around 200. There are a large number of government departments, and Harry Potter observes hundreds of witches and wizards in the Ministry of Magic's Atrium alone. This would appear to be too large for such a small population. The Quidditch World Cup stadium could hold 100,000 and was built by a Ministry task force of five hundred. It seems very unlikely that a sixth of the entire country worked for a full year on one single project, though it is possible that the Ministry could have hired out from other countries. If one were to extrapolate from Rowling's statement that 1,000 students were at Hogwarts at a given time, however, a more sensible number seems to suggest itself: Given that 1,000 students spread over 7 years would make a class size each year of about 143 students, that nearly every young wizard and witch in Britain appears to attend Hogwarts, and that wizards and witches seem to live around 100 years if they don't die by unnatural causes, 1,000 Hogwarts students would put the total wizarding population in Britain at 12,000 to 15,000 -- a number that would support almost all details known about the Wizarding World.
That would mean the percentage of witches/wizards in Britain is bewteen 0.00019% and 0.00024%. It's a small number, but the above paragraph seems to make sense, though I think JKR did say that there are more than 40 students in Harry's year. And she has said that math isn't her strong suit either. (Nor is it mine!)

Ok that makes a little more sense even though the population is super small!!!

good point but I feel in today's society he would easily be overthrown as hitler would not. I don't think Voldemort is/was the best at public speaking which was really the main strenght of Hitler.
