Gina bit the inside of her cheek. She could see one boy that seemed decent--and cute--but he was in the middle of a conversation with someone else. She didn't want to intrude. Someone's a little more awkward than usual tonight, Gina thought with a small smile.

Marie was startled when the music suddenly changed. She grinned because she loved that song. She stood up and began dancing with herself.

[Megan]

Josh saw Marie walk into the dance. "It was great dancing with you, Catie," Josh said, and winked. He headed towards Marie.

Marie spotted Josh just seconds away. "Crap." She muttered under her breath. She quickly turned away, hoping against hope that he wouldn't see her.

[Elliott]

"Marie!" he called across the room, over the loud music. "You're here!"

[Mandy]

Marie winced at the wall. "Dang." She pasted a smile on her face and turned. "Oh hey Josh. Yeah, I...I am."

[Elliott]

((Meh. I sort of have to go. I'll be on and off.))

"Sweet!" he said smiling again.

[Mandy]

"Yuuuup." Marie nodded. She picked up another carrotstick and held it too Josh, grinning inside. "Would you like a delicious carrot?"

[Elliott]

"Noooo thank you," Josh said, in a somewhat sarcastic tone.

[Mandy]

Marie nibbled it. "Suit yourself. But they are good for the eyesight."

[Elliott]

"Woooow."

[Mandy]

Marie shrugged, and read his mind quickly of recent events. "It was you who changed the music?"

[Elliott]

"Of course not," Josh lied.

[Mandy]

"I hate it when people lie to me. Anyways, not bad. Although I like alternative better, or HelloandGoodbye....but it's better then it was."

[Megan]

"No, I'm ok. Don't worry." Holli told Matt. What a lie, she thought.

If only you knew. Marie grinned. "Oh yes. I absolutely can." She waved her fingers up and down in a twinkly motion around Josh. "Your whole aura is screaming that you are lying. Aaaannddd, it also says you are hiding a deep, dark, secret." Marie knew she was probably going over the top by playing with him like this, but she didn't care.

[Elliott]

"How'd you guess?" Josh said, smirking. "Okay fine. I admit it. I'm madly in love with you."

[Mandy]

"A ha ha." Marie didn't even bother to read his mind on that one. "Now I don't think you are a liar, I know it."

[Elliott]

Josh frowned. "Okay, so maybe I'm not madly in love with you, but you are pretty cute." For a girl who's so... crabby all the time.

[Mandy]

Marie cocked her head. "Well I....thank you. That was a very nice thing for you to say. You're not too bad yourself..." For an arrogant player.

((He's nicer then he was in the last one, and less of a player. Just commenting. ))

[Elliott]

"I know," he grinned. "Now dance with me." He didn't really give her a choice as he pulled her out onto the dance floor.

((Want me to make him meaner? It's just... hard to get him back to that. Haha.))

[Mandy]

((Haha. I don't care. I was just noted that he was different. It makes the rp different too, which is actually a good thing.))

"I--okay." Marie wasn't sure what to say. The compliment a minute ago had made her softer. Not that she didn't receive them all the time, but this was just...different. The song slowed.

[Elliott]

((Alright. I think I like him how he is right now anyways.))

Josh put his arms around her waist. "You up to a slow dance?" Darn my iPod. Josh wasn't all that into slow dancing.

[Mandy]

((Me too.))

"Sure, I guess. But I have to warn you....I have two left feet." She slid her arms around his neck as they swayed to the music.

[Elliott]

"I don't think that's actually possible," Josh smirked again and tried not to show that he was just as bad at dancing as she claimed.

[Mandy]

Marie smirked right back. "Just wait. It is."

[Elliott]

"Ow!" Josh said, pretending she had stepped on his foot.

[Mandy]

"Hey! That wasn't me." She slugged him playfully in the arm. "But that was." She grinned at him.

"That sounds good," Matt said. He hadn't known this was going to be a dance, and it was pretty awkward to just stand there not dancing.

Josh racked his brain for something he could do to get her back and noticed the punch bowl... full of ice. He lunged for the refreshment table and grabbed the container of ice.

[Mandy]

Marie backed away. "You wouldn't."

[Elliott]

"It sure beats hitting you," Josh said, and threw the ice at Marie as hard as he could, making sure there was nobody who'd get caught in the middle.

[Mandy]

Marie tried to duck, but the ice slooshed against her and the floor. She was dripping wet. She gaped at Josh and lunged forward to grab some ice to get him back, but she slipped on the water and tumbled forward instead. This is not my day. She thought.

[Megan]

"Alright. Anywhere particular you want to go to?"

[Elliott]

Josh laughed. He didn't help her up. Instead he ran across the deck to get away so she couldn't get him back.

[Mandy]

((Back for a minute. I had to wash dishes.))

"You are so dead!" Marie shook a fist at him, but she grinned inside. She jumped up, shakily and darted after her, her long legs carried her swiftly to where she was only several feet away. I'm going to get you. Just wait. She thoughtspoke to him, just for kicks.

[Elliott]

"What the heck?" Josh stopped suddenly. He had heard Marie talking... but it's like she was inside his head. He turned and saw her standing a few feet behind him.

[Mandy]

Marie waved casually. She picked up four carrotsticks and threw them at Josh. "HA!"

[Elliott]

"Ooh, carrotsticks. They burn! They burn!"

[Mandy]

"Mwahahaha."

[Elliott]

"You definitely got me back for that one."

[Megan]

Holli stood there waiting for Matt to answer.
