Holli stood in front of everyone looking over all the people. She hoped everyone forgot about yesterday, but she doubted that.
"Hey," Matt said, walking up to Holly. They had gotten the room mess straightened out the day before.
"Hi, Matt." Holli said. She picked up one the curls and started to play with it in btween her thumb and index finger. This dance needed to be better.
Gina made her way over to the edge of the deck and stared at the ocean.
"Oh, uhm, thanks. Does it look, you know, good?" Holli asked. She was starting to get worried. What if Matt thought she looked like a freak with hair? Was she just a big freak? She immediatly dropped the curl.
"Really good. I almost didn't know it was a... well, you know... a wig, except for that I saw you earlier," Matt stammered. What was it about her that got him all tongue tied? He wasn't normally one to trip over his words. Okay, well he was. But still.
"Its alright. I know what you mean." Holli smiled. "My hair use to be just like this... I would always straighten it though, because I wasn't into the whole curly hair thing. I miss it now, of course. I should have curled it when I had the chance." She was rambling, and she knew he actually wouldn't care at all. "Sorry. I'm chatty tonight."
"Good. Now I won't be the only one spouting off random nonsense most people don't care about," Matt laughed. "And yeah. I think it's pretty weird how girls with the awesomest curly hair just ruin it by straightening it. It's such a waste of time, in my opinion and it looks better curly most of the time."
"Haha, yeah." She looked down at her feet and then up again, smiling. "This party needs to get... cranked up." She laughed. Who says's 'cranked up' nowadays?
"It's fine for me," Matt said. "I'm not much of a party kid..."

Josh did one more quick check of the room and quickly switched the iPods out. The All-American Rejects, Move Along, started blasting across the deck.

"I am." Holli smirked and then she giggled. Soon All - American Rejects started playing. She loved Tyson Ritter. "C'mon Matt, let's go out and dance." She said.
"I'm not really... allowed to dance," Matt admitted.
((MATT! You bad child. I thought you were going to be post-tornado Matt. Augh. Oh well.))
((MATT! You bad child. I thought you were going to be post-tornado Matt. Augh. Oh well.))
"We don't believe in dancing. Because of my religion," Matt told her.
((He has two personalities, one before the tornado in my story, and one after and I was trying to make him act like the second one... but he decided to be the first one and I just realized that and I can't change him now.))

"What's your religion?" Holli was asking to many questions but she didn't care. She was curious.(OOOH. That sounds like a great story, just saying.)
Gina almost wished the main deck was closer to the ocean's surface. She could feel a faint spray of it here, but it didn't do much. She wasn't used to weather this warm, especially at night.
Gina, she chided herself. Are you going to spend the night staring at dolphins or actually do something social like you promised mom?

"I'm Seventh-Day Adventist," Matt said, sort of happy for the direct question. He always loved witnessing to people, but ever since Henri had flipped out at him back at school he was trying to be less pushy about it. "I don't know if you've heard of it, but basically I'm a Christian."
((Thanks! I'm still developing it. I'm hoping to start it soon.))

Poema (Elizabeth) wrote: ""Sure, Josh," Catie nodded. "Name's Catie, by the way.""
"Cool," Josh said, and took her hand.

Gina scanned the crowd, searching for boys with promising spirits. Most of the time, that would help her sort the good kids from the pervs. If Gina wanted a perv, she could just go back to high school.
"So, your basicially a Christian, and you can't dance because it's against your religion? Hhm. I've never heard of that one before." Holli said, she thought maybe he was just lying and didn't want to dance with her. But then again, if you were gonna lie it would have just been easier to say you were sick instead of going into your whole religion. She decided to believe him.
"Yeah. There's a big thing about how it leads to other things..." Matt said, not really wanting to get into it. "Sorry. I do want to dance with you. I mean, I don't, because I don't believe it's right... but I want to dance with you because... shutting up now." Matt blushed.

"So where're you from, Catie?" Josh asked her as the moved in time to the music.

"I've never been to Texas," Josh told Catie. "I think this cruise is probably one of the first times I've been away from my hometown."
Holli smiled and looked at her feet. She started laughing at Matt and then spoke, "Your cute, Matt." She admitted.
"That's not something I hear everyday," Matt grinned a little. "Well... it is, actually, but Henri's just a stalker. You're cool."

Gina tapped her fingers against the railing of the deck. Too many people...
"This psycho chick at my school. She just started going there and I swear... well, if I wasn't a Christian and such a goody-two shoes, I would probably start yelling at her or something," Matt wasn't sure why he was saying all this to Holli. But she was just really easy to talk to.

"Where does he live?"
"Wow," Josh raised his eyebrows, but didn't really pretend to be all that interested, because he... wasn't.

It all came back. Going through Holli's mind. Everything. What all happened with Jenner. What all happened during the August & September. How he hurt her so much. How he destroyed her heart and used her. And then finally when she was getting over him, finally when she was moving on, he would follow her and pretend to care. When she knew the truth... He just didn't want her to meet someone else. He was the biggest mistake of her life.
Holli sighed. And looked at Matt. She was really starting to like Matt, but she knew that if Jenner found out, he would get back into her head faster then you can say shazam.
Holli realized she was spacing on her conversation with Matt. "Sorry, I was zoning out."
