Lav [I hate the psychiatrist] wrote: "Ryan reached for the wall and found it. He ran his hand along it until he hit what he assumed was a light switch, and flicked it up. ((Goodnight Kenny! Me too! Love you as well, I shall try. :3 T..."
Connelly blinked and briefly covered her eyes at the sudden brightness. "A warning would've been nice," she said, sounding a bit amused.
"It looks like some kind of service hallway to me," she said with a shrug, looking at him after surveying the area.
She grinned at him and did just that. "Chicken?" Connelly said wryly as their steps echoed in the enclosed space.
"Nothing." Connelly took a breath and started forwards into the darkness, trying to not let it get to her.
After a few minutes she stopped and pressed her hands against the hard surface blocking her way. "I think there's a door here... but I can't find how it opens."
Jason followed Marie and Josh, his heart pounding in fear, glancing backwards occasionally to see if the Thing had chosen to follow them.
"Not that I can tell..." Connelly was gettingfruatrated, searching the surface for some kind of knob or latch. "You check."
"Do you hear someone?" Josh whispered to Marie. "Following us?"

Ryan pushed against the door as hard as he could and it moved about a centimeter, but no more.

Connelly turned around to see if they could go back the way they came. "Ryan... There's something blocking the way back."
"What... what... what is that?" Ryan stuttered. All he could see was a dark shape. It made his emotions shake uncontrollably as he looked at it to try and distinguish what it was so he looked back at Connelly and felt the fear slowly subside.
((Sorry about the wait!))"What's going on?" Despite her attempts, she couldn't quite manage to keep her fear out of her voice.
((gah! Sorry again! My mom went to the hospital with my pregnant cousin so I had to make dinner.))"Let's try it. I'm up for anything." Connelly placed her hands against the door.
Ryan kept shoving as hard as he could. It opened about a foot. "Do you think you can fit through?" he asked.
Josh knew there had to be someone following him and Marie. He turned around cautiously. "Hello?"
"I'll try..." Connelly took a deep breath and squeezed through the space. "Um, can you push it while I try to pull it?"
Marie had been keeping quiet, alert and anxious. She could begin to see a small strip of light at the end of the tunnel, near the floor. "There." She said softly, and pointed.
((Laaaav! Hi!))"Yes, Captain Obvious." Even in her distressed and hidden fear, she was able to be sarcastic.
As they drew closer to the door, Marie could see the strip of light was emanating from beneath a door. Breathing and pace quickening, she hurried over to it and felt for the door handle.
"Yeah, I think I can squeeze through," Ryan said. He slipped through the small opening and winced, but made it to the other side. "Do you hear that?" he said. It sounded like someone was rattling a door on the other side of the small room.
"Yeah," Ryan said. He looked around the dim room and grabbed a potted plant. "Just in case," he added.
