"Sounds like a personal problem to me," Josh said and took a couple steps closer.

"Fine. I'm personally angry at them." Marie made an angry face. "They irk me."

"Judging people before you meet them, eh?"

Marie looked at him. "Is that anything new? If you haven't noticed, I am sorta judgmental. It's because so many people are how I think they are, so I don't usually take the time to find out for sure."

"That's a lovely outlook on life," Josh raised his eyebrows.

"I haven't had a lovely life. Why do I need a lovely outlook?"

[Elliott]

"Because..." Josh started to say when he suddenly pressed up against the wall and put a finger to his lips.

"Now that that girl is out of the way," the woman said, "let's get to work." Her partner just grunted and the woman fumbled with a chair sitting on the deck. The ground slowly opened to reveal a passage way.

Marie tried to quiet her breathing without holding her breath, because at some point, she'd have to breath and then she'd sound like a vaccuum cleaner. She watched tentatively.

Josh gaped openly. They disappeared down the passageway and then it closed and the dock was empty.

Marie looked at Josh. "I'm not going to lie, that was pretty much the most awesome thing ever." She stepped out from the hiding place and walked over to where the passageway closed.

Josh walked over to it as well and stood next to it for a second before getting right on top of it and jumping. It held firm.

((They're on a boat and it's midnight right now... curfew for anyone under 18. Josh and Marie are on the main deck by a folding chair that goes to the passageways. There are people in them... I have no clue what's down there. So your character could find Josh and Marie trying to break into the passageway, or something of the sort.))

"Yes, I'll try and succeed. Just watch and learn, kiddo." Marie said. She walked over to the chair and fiddled with it, playing with a screw. A few seconds later, the passage door slid open. She stood up, smugly and grinned. "What."

Josh turned around to fake glare at her when suddenly he tripped and almost fell into the hole.

[Mandy]

Marie reached out instinctively and caught his arm. She almost wanted to drop him again, but decided that'd be too mean. "Nice move."

[Elliott]

"Har har har," Josh said, blushing a little bit.

[Mandy]

Marie snickered and jumped down in the hole. "Come on, then." Her voice floated up.

[Elliott]

"But it's dark in there..."

[Mandy]

Her head popped up. "You're kidding, right?"

[Elliott]

"Yeah," Josh said, but he didn't make a move to step down into the passageway.

[Mandy]

She sighed and grabbed his hand, yanking him down into the passageway. She began walking down into the stuffy blackness, still holding his hand. A small light flickered in the distance.

[Elliott]

This is really freaky. I'm going to die. There's going to be a freakish monster that comes and eats us and we're both going to die. The walls are going to close in on us and we'll get crushed. Josh thought.
