Good job stupid. Lia thought to herself.

[Mandy]

Marie had been stunned for a moment. Then she exploded. "WHAT? HIM? Nonononono. No way!"

Lia smiled, "Okay.."

[Elliott]

"Yeah, that's just awkward. And weird. And impossible," Josh continued.

[Maddie]

Lia nodded her head slowly.

[Mandy]

"Oh, lookatthesea. Isn'titpretty?" Marie changed the subject.

[Maddie]

"Very." Lia agreed.

[Elliott]

"Pretty like your face!" Josh said and then blushed. That's not how that was supposed to come out.

[Maddie]

Lia faced Josh, "Who did you just say that too?" Her tone was rougher than it was meant to be.

[Mandy]

"Josh, do you realize you just tried to do a your face joke that ended up being a compliment? I'm altogether astounded that you managed that. Smooth."

[Elliott]

"Um. Both of you. Yes," Josh mumbled. "And yes. I realize that. I'm just awesome like that."

[Mandy]

"Moving on."

[Elliott]

"What if I don't want to move on?" Josh countered. He paused. "Okay, yeah. I want to move on."

[Mandy]

Marie smiled. "That's what I thought."

[Elliott]

"I'm surprised a good child like you is even out... past curfew."

[Mandy]

"Goo-good child?" Marie choked.

[Elliott]

"That's the impression you give off..." Josh said, raising his eyebrows.

[Mandy]

"Then I have failed miserably." Marie looked slightly put-off. "Good? Good?" She repeated, as if she hadn't heard him right.

[Elliott]

"Or not...?"

[Mandy]

"Wait, now you've confused me. It's just, I'm normally not a bad "child" as you eloquently put it, but I'm not usually a good one."

[Elliott]

"That makes a ton more sense," Josh said sarcastically.

[Mandy]

"Heh heh...." Marie yawned.

[Elliott]

"See?" Josh smirked. "You're tired."

[Mandy]

"Noooo." Marie tried to close the yawn.

[Elliott]

"Now who's the liar?" Josh said standing up and walking over to the railing on the boat.

[Mandy]

"Touche." Marie stayed where she was at on the chair.

[Elliott]

"Do you ever wonder how the boat stays afloat?" Josh asked. He watched the waves hit the sides of the large ship in fascination.

[Mandy]

Marie smiled and shrugged. "I've never wondered, but come to think of it, I wonder."

[Elliott]

"You'd think it would just sink. Like a rock. And then we'd all die."

[Mandy]

"...That's deep, man. Real deep."

[Elliott]

"Why, thank you," Josh bowed.

[Mandy]

Marie smiled. There was more to this guy then meets the eye. However, what met the eye wasn't too bad either. She grinned to herself.

[Elliott]

Josh kept gazing out over the water quietly, thinking about a lot of things. Caitlin would've loved this. He sighed and then looked up suddenly. He thought he heard a tapping sound. Footsteps?

[Mandy]

"Who's Caitlin?" Marie asked curiously before she could think. She didn't hear the noise.

[Elliott]

"Caitlin?" Josh said, wrinkling his nose and scrunching his eyebrows together. How could she possibly know about Caitlin? Nobody knew Josh used to have a sister.

[Mandy]

"Um...Caitlin?" Marie pretended she hadn't said anything.

[Elliott]

Josh scrunched his face up harder. "You're the one who asked who Caitlin was..." he said slowly. "Right?"

[Mandy]

"Umm....hey, I'm hungry. You hungry?"

[Elliott]

"Seeing as it's past curfew and none of the restraunts would be open right now..." Josh started to say in a mocking tone when voices could be heard coming down the hall.

"Nobody can find out about this, do you understand?" a woman's husky voice said.

"Get down," Josh whispered and hid behind a decorative plant that was on deck. He paused for a second to wonder why there was a decorative plant on the deck of a cruise ship, but then focused his attention back on the woman and her partner who were getting closer as they talked.

[Mandy]

((OOOOOH. DRAMA. YES!))

Marie ducked down with him, eyes wide with surprise. Why hadn't she sensed their thoughts? She began trying to read them all, but couldn't break through. "What?" She whispered to herself. JOSH. They aren't normal. We've got to get out of here.

[Elliott]

"How?" Josh hissed, too worried to realize that Marie hadn't spoken to him out loud. "In case you haven't noticed, the door is on the other side of the room and all that's between it and us is them and a bunch of open space."

[Mandy]

Marie also sensed someone else's thoughts. Someone named Catie. She didn't think about that though. "When I say go..." LOOK OVER THERE! She sent the message through to the talking couple. It took a little work getting in, but the force opened their minds to her. Now. Run! Marie grabbed Josh and ran across the deck when the couple was turned away.

[Elliott]

Josh ran with Marie as fast as he could but once they had made it through the door safely Josh hesisitated.

"I never get caught," Josh scoffed. "Except on Tuesdays. Is today Tuesday?"
