Josh winced. "Marie?"

"This isn't good," Matt said, drumming his fingers on his pocket. "This isn't good. I missed the safety briefing. What are we supposed to do?"

"I have no idea. I never pay attention to this kind of stuff. Maybe its something else. Maybe its all ok."
"I guess we could ask," Matt said, turning to the Subway worker who didn't seem overly concerned anyways.

Marie made a strangled noise trying to speak, but she gave up and thought spoke. What happened? I don't feel good at allll..... She laid on the deck, face pale. She took deep breaths. In. Out. Breath In. Breath Out. Breath Marie. Her breathing eventually steadied.
Some of the people nodded and made way as a doctor, with two assistants holding a gurney, came through.((What should they do? I have no idea what to do when someone almost drowned....))

((How about they just check her out and decide she's fine, but needs to rest?))

((Sounds good.))
The doctor made sure she was okay, and concluded that she just need rest for a day or two.
They began to help her up to bring her to her cabin. She still wasn't sure what had just happened.
((I'm so creative.))
((HAHAHAHA.))Marie was put into bed, and after being fussed over by a pale Mrs. Jack, was handed a cup of peppermint herbal tea. She sipped it slowly. Mrs. Jack fixed her attention on Josh. "Are you the young man who was chasing my daughter all over to fast food restaurants yesterday--"
"MOM." Marie would have blushed, but she didn't seem to have the energy. She breathed heavily. "Josh just saved my life."
Josh stood outside her door for a second after she went in. He wasn't sure what he'd say. Hey! I just saved your life. Now you have to be nice to me. or maybe Hey. Your lips are nice. Want to try it again? That just sounded creepy, even if it was something he'd say in a normal circumstance. He sighed.
((*cracks up*))Marie sipped her tea more, thinking about what had just happened. She wondered if things would be awkward now.
He couldn't bring himself to knock. Not before he knew what to say. So he just stood outside, running through all the possible things he could say in his mind. Finally he just gave up and knocked softly. Maybe she wouldn't hear him.
"Hey," Josh said after he opened the door. It was the best he could come up with after all his deliberation.
"Hi." Marie wished she had something more to say. She paused. "Thanks. A lot. A lot lot. That was..." Her voice cracked and trailed off.
Marie shook her head. "You need to stop with the lying. It. Was. Huge. You're a freakin hero. And I need to...apologize."
"No. For earlier." Marie wasn't used to making apologies, so this was new to her. It didn't help that when he tilted his head like that, he look undeniable adorable. "I-I'm sorry." She stared at him, as if willing him to understand that she was truly sorry. "I. Was. A. Jerkface."
"Oh, I know you hope so," Josh grinned and then he walked away.
--
"What's going on?" Mark asked in a worried voice.

"What's going on?" Mark asked in a worried voice.
Marie hid a smile and situated herself in her blankets. "Bye." She whispered, even though he was probably out of hearing.
((IT IS! IT IS!))
"There is no freaking way I'm crushing on her," Josh muttered to himself as he walked down the narrow hallway. "I don't crush on girls. I hit on them and then leave."

((It's okay. I completely understand.))
Josh went and sat on the deck in a folding chair watching the lights on the shore grow farther and farther away.

((I WILL ALIVEN IT. Somehow. =P))Marie woke up...a few hours later. She began to sit up.
"Nu-uh!" Mrs. Jack gently pushed her back down. "More rest."
"But--"
"No buts. For another day at least."
Marie moaned. "But I'm so rejuvenated and everything happy. I'm ready to get up!"
"No." Mrs. Jack closed the conversation and left the room.
A few minutes later, Marie softly got up and tiptoed to the window looking out at the sea, but leading down to the deck. She opened it. Squeeeeek! Gritting her teeth, she jumped as quietly as possible down to the deck with a full thunk. Mrs. Jack still didn't hear her.
Josh had fallen asleep in the chair and was completely oblivious to the 12 o'clock curfew for anyone on the ship under the age of 18.
((Sure! Right now all the people are on a cruise, so just post your character in the character topic and jump right in. It's night time... right now my character Josh is on a deck outside, Marie just snuck out of her room, my character Ryan is in the TV Room and Matt is sleeping.))
((Okay!! I will use Ophilia from my story about the girl who lives in a perfect world, blind from her abuse... haha))
Marie checked her watch. It was a few minutes to midnight. "Crap." She muttered. She shouldn't have taken such a long nap. She wasn't even tired! She tiptoed down the corridor.
Lia stood silent covered in darkness on the cruise boat. She pulled a black blanket around her arms and walked to the rail of the ship and watched the land drift from sight.
