"What the..." Josh jerked his head to where Marie had been standing, but Marie was already gone.

Marie grinned to herself as she returned to her room and cleaned up. She felt great, playing with his mind.

Josh still hadn't moved. He was sort of... creeped out.

Marie changed into a swimsuit, because she wanted to go swimming after she got rid of Josh nicely. She pulled jeans and a hoodie on over the top. Then she narrowed her eyes. She didn't do things nicely to people she didn't care about. She didn't even have to go back to Josh. She could just leave and go swimming. She walked into the hall.

He shrugged and started dancing with some random girl. She was cute... but he couldn't stop thinking about Marie.

Marie pulled out a map that she'd kept with her ever since she'd gotten lost the million times. The pool was on the other side of the ship. Right next to where the dance was. She'd have to avoid Josh. "Stealth Marie. You are stealthy!" She chuckled quietly and began her journey back.

Josh smiled at the girl he was dancing with.

Marie was back and the dance and spotted Josh dancing with another girl. She shrugged and darted behind a plotted plant and began walking backwards to the pool, along the fence that overlooked the sea.

Josh didn't see her.

Marie continued along the edge of the fence/wall. The air was suddenly knocked out of her by a someone or something slamming into her and she was thrown up and backward. She toppled over the edge, her head hit a protruding object on the cruise ship, and darkness crowded her vision.

Josh heard a crashing sound. He glanced around.

Marie's still body hit the water with a loud splash.

He also heard a splashing sound. Did somebody just fall off the boat?

"Veggie Sandwich. Sounds good. I think I'm gonna go with the Pizza Sub. It'll probably get my dress all messed up though." Holli hoped she didn't sound like a slob.

"That's what napkins are for," Matt said.

Someone yelled loudly. "SOMEONE FELL OVERBOARD." And pointed down below.

Josh gasped, and ran over to railing.

Marie floated in the water, unmoving and face down.

[Elliott]

"Oh my gosh. Marie?" Josh said, gripping the railing.

A life tube thing was tossed down, and the DJ dived into the water a few feet away from where she was. Someone yelled that a lifeguard was on his way.

Josh just stood watching. Trying not to panic.

The DJ dude hoisted Marie's still form through the tube, and people began to pull her up.

Josh tried to breathe. She was going to be okay. She was. She had to be.

[Mandy]

((If I'm on. Yes! See you later.))

"Anyone know CPR?" The DJ shouted to the crowd. He was just a DJ. He never learned that. Marie was lying on the deck and people huddled around her, staring. No one was taking action. "Help is coming!" said the same random bystander that had been yelling everything the last couple minutes.

"I know CPR," Josh said sort of quietly. And he did. He had learned in Boy Scouts.

[Mandy]

The DJ backed away. "Everyone give the kid some room!"

[Elliott]

Josh felt sort of... awkward. I mean... it wasn't like he was kissing her. But his mouth would be on her mouth... but he couldn't let her die. He couldn't be responsible for yet another person's death. So he walked towards her.

[Mandy]

Marie was still unconscious, her body bruised and battered from her hit in the water and on the boat.

Josh kneeled down next to her and pressed down on her stomach and chest, trying not to feel like he was completely violating her. Maybe she would start breathing again without the actual mouth part. Sometimes chest compressions alone worked.

"Did you hear that?" Matt said, suddenly. "It sounded like an alarm."

[Mandy]

Marie's stomach went up and down with the compressions, but she didn't draw breath for several seconds. A small sound of air and gurgling water escaped her lips, but she wasn't breathing. Her airway was blocked with water.

[Elliott]

"It's not working," Josh muttered to himself. He frowned and bent down even closer, his lips hovering next to hers.

[Mandy]

((I don't know what to make Marie do...she can't do anything. She's unconscious! XD))

Marie....was still unconscious.

[Elliott]

((*laughs*))
He parted her lips and touched them gently with his, making a funnel with his hands so the air wouldn't escape.

[Mandy]

It was a couple minutes before Marie started breathing, just a little, on her own. Her head jerked to the side and she began coughing and gagging and throwing up water all over the deck.

[Elliott]

"Gross," Josh whispered, but inside he was cheering. He kept doing the chest compressions to help her get the water out.

[Megan]

"No, I don't think so." Holli said. The noise went off again. "Waaait, what is that?"

[Elliott]

"I think it's... one of the emergency horns," Matt said, scanning his brain for the sounds they had showed during the safety briefing.
