Obsidian Butterfly (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter #9)3/5 stars http://www.goodreads.com/book/photo/1...
This book is very different to all the others as it focuses on Anita and Edwards relationship. Edward comes to call in his favour that Anita owed him. This book reveals more about Edward and his life beyond his work. The storyline is brilliant as always and this time the case brings both Anita and Edward into a even more dangerous situation.
Last Dragon Standing (Dragon Kin #4) 3/5 stars
http://www.goodreads.com/book/photo/7...
This book focuses on Ragnar and Keita's romance. I love the teasing and quips that are exchanged between the two and the intoduction of new exciting characters. I found that the storyline was a bit lacking although I may just be a bit bored of the series as a whole.
Sweet Temptation (Sweet #4) 5/5
http://www.goodreads.com/book/photo/6...
I gave this book 5/5 stars as I have been dying to read more about Micah. He has an interesting past that comes through in this book and is put to the test when Angelina decides that she is coming to uproot his past and make him hers. She knows all his kinks and desires and will use her feminine abilities to bring him to his knees.
Narcissus in Chains (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter #10) 5/5 stars http://www.goodreads.com/book/photo/3...
My favourite of the series to date as Anita begins to realize how much potential she has. She is fierce and protective of all those around her and has to use all her abilities to keep her people safe from a new enemy. At the same time she has to deal with a new sexual desire that seems to emerge around a few hot men.
Everything Forbidden (Albright Sisters #1)4/5
http://www.goodreads.com/book/photo/7...
Miranda Albright has refused several proposals as she is a woman who wants passion in her life. When her father dies and leaves herself and her sisters with no money, she is forced to make a deal with the philandering next door neighbor who she has secrectly desired for the past several years. He agrees to help her family on the condition that she gives herself completely to him for 3 months.
Delicious (Wicked Lovers #3) 4/5 stars
http://www.goodreads.com/book/photo/6...
This book brings together Luc and Alyssa who we were introduced in previous books. After one night of amazing sex, fate has brought these two back together. Alyssa will use her persuasive charm to get luc to give into her. The one problem is that Alyssa is being stalked by someone who wants her dead. This book is highly emotional and has a great storyline that will make you want to read the rest of the series.

I am rereading Karen Moning's fever series in anticipation of

I just finished

This is my 5 Star review: This is the best BDSM book I have ever read. Although dark, Ms. Dalton pulls you into the lives of her characters with reverent ease. The pain, passion, and confusion pushed me to think about the possibility of what if. And lets not forget the emotional roller coaster "The Reluctant Dom" takes you on. Oh my! Love, love, love this book!!! A definite must read...IMHO.
AND, I finished

This is my 4/5 Star review: Although I'm not a horror fan, I really liked this book. I will have to read this genre more often, if they are as well written and captivating as "The Store".

this is a novel of extraordinary skilfulness and almost unbearable tension. It's a book about loyalty and the choices that come with it. But above all it's a book about love - for one's family and for another.
I have to say that that statement right there is completely true; this is a brave novel that gripped me from the first page.
When i got this book I was worried about the subject matter, sexual assault has always freaked me out and I didn’t want to be disturbed after reading this. I had nothing to fear of though because although that theme was in there loud and clear the power and meaningfulness of the novel over took it, if anything having that theme in there just made me more aware of the world and what to look out for if I want to avoid getting into a bad situation.
This book is raw and a tangle of different emotions. It is written so that one minute you are on one person’s side and the next the other. I love the title as well, it really suits it. The way the author writes is so deep that you constantly are on the edge waiting for the moment that you will finally know who did it. I also love the way the book is written, it had a lot of detail but not in a boring way. It was beautifully written!
So when i go up to page 105 of this book I was convinced that it was going to be predictable, boy did I get I shock, that was another thing I loved about this book. Every time something happened and I thought I could guess the outcome it changed dramatically leaving me gobsmacked. I kept saying “woah I did not see that coming!” It was amazingly unpredictable.
This novel has uncertain characters, you have love hate relationships with them, but in the end you wound up liking them all! Its amazing how that happened. Well you end up liking them all except the people who your aren’t meant to like. But the author has an admirable and fantastic skill when it comes to crafting the characters to fit the roles.
Okay I do have a problem with this book. I didn’t like the ending. I wanted to know what happened with the trial and what happened when unnamed person met unnamed person’s sister.
All in all, i thought this book was amazing; it was brilliantly put together and wonderfully written. I will never forget it!

Valerius is a dark hunter that is hated by everyone and lives a lonely life. One night while fighting daimons, Tabitha stabs him by accident. She understands his loneliness and knows people are wrong to judge him harshly. When a old enemy of Tabitha's arises again. Valerius proves his love for her by helping her fight her demons while she helps him fight his past. Two brilliant characters full of mischief and fun.
Night Play (Dark-Hunter, #5) (Dark-Hunter/Were-Hunter #5) 4/5 stars
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/84...
Bride McTierney has been dumped and is fed up until a brief hot encounter with the sexy Vane Kattalakis changes her mind. Vane is a were-hunter who is dealing with his own family issues. His father wants him dead and his brother is in acoma. He discovers that Bride is his mate and he has a few weeks to convince her to be with him forever. The only problem is that she is confused by this amazing man who can change into a wolf.
There is a lack of action scenes but it focuses on the relationship and insecurites most people have about themselves. The book grows on you and in the end you fall inlove with the characters.
Master of the Abyss http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/87... 4/5 stars
Kallie Masterson has been brought up feeling alone and unwanted. Becuase of this she puts on a tough girl persona and does not let any man past her defences. When Jake Hunt makes a business deal with Kallie, he introduces her to the BDSM world. She can't seem to resist his advances although she keeps doubting his intentions.
Jake Hunt suffered when his previous girlfriend was found dead in the woods. When a few more bodies emerge years later,they decide it must be a serial killer. Jake realizes how much Kallie means to him and that she may be the killers next target.
You instantly like the characters in this book and are provided with a great history to each of them. They all feel real as none of them are perfect. The building romance between the two main leads is filled with agnst and heartship but in the end it is a entertaining read.

So far I have read:
The Road to Jerusalem ~5/5 read Nov 6 2010-Jan 3 2011
For power. For passion. For glory. The epic story of the knights Templar.
Although the description is a bit mis-leading, I fell in love with this book. It did tend to drag in the beginning and a bit in the middle, it leaves you satisfied and craving for more once your finished.
~~~~~~
IceFire ~ 5/5 read Dec 15 2010-Jan 5 2011
For junior fiction, I found this enjoyable (not enough though to read in 24 hours). The author fleshed out his characters more, finally answered a few questions, and left me grasping for the next book. I find that the author used a more detailed and more in-depth plot than his previous one.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth ~3/5 read Jan 9 2011
I only read this because my brothers have been pestering me too, and found it something I should have expected a pre-teen boy to be interested in.
Anita is fighting the ardeur throughout this book and her one liners can be quite amusing. A enemy from Asher and Jean-Claudes past plays a major feature role. We are introduced to a character that will become a major player later on the series.
Incubus Dreams (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter #12) 4/5
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/30...
This book focuses more on Anitas relationships and her struggle with the big "LOVE" idea. The crime scene is interesting but not the total focus of the storyline.
Micah (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter #13) 4/5
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/30...
Anita is called to preform a simple zombie raising out of town. Micah goes along hoping for a romantic getaway for just the two of them. We get some insight into Micah's past and his relationship with Anita. Its great to read if you a fan of the character Micah.
was this supposed to be a love story or a mystery???????? This book is hard to review.
I dont know whether I liked it or not. I mean while I was reading it there were some parts that I totally loved but then there were a lot of really boring bits that in my opinion were rather pointless. I did think the storyline was alright, just all over the place. I also didnt like the writing style.
All in all I dunno..............It wasnt that bad it was okay but i cant say I liked it.
two stars
Not what I wanted!
I was excited to start this little book, I hoped that I would get an insight on Riely, I got quite the opposite though.
This book was
a)rushed
b)had no depth
c)was very pradictable
c)Characters were all the same:as in there was no personalities at all!
and d)did not live up to what I wanted
I always get disappointed with a novella, I told myself when i started reading this to not expect it to be amazing or have to much detail, cause it is to short to begin with. but still this book had no othing at all, everything just happened and I felt nothing while reading this.
I dunno if I am gonna read the next one, maybe I might but I didnt like this little book much!
Beautifully written this book grabbed me from the start. The authors writing style is amazing it flows so well and you feel everything! By the end of this book i was in tears. The writing moved me but it had no gore there was detail on everything but not on the operations and I was relieved by that, and if there detail on something medical it wasn’t gross.
I knew I was going to like this book by the first sentence, but........ I also knew that the main characters was going to drive me insane, some parts of this book was so agonizing that I was cringing. This was mainly because of Tessa; some of the stuff she did that was on my list drove me crazy I didn’t understand how someone could possibly be possessed to do that. But as the book wore on I realised that you’re not yourself when you think you are going to die and even though the stuff she did annoyed me I realised that someone would do that just to feel alive.
I could not get over how the author made this book so real. I felt like I was dying with her which shocked me. I didn’t like most of the characters but strangely I didn’t mind. I was just lost in the story.
This is a powerful book that will move you!
Okay i feel really bad about giving this book a two star rating but.............. I don’t know I feel like it needs one.
After seeing so many amazing reviews for this book I was so happy when i saw it in my library but then...........
The storyline to this book was pretty good, I loved the idea of it, emphases on the idea bit I didn’t think that it was written that well. I mean don’t get me wrong the writing was okay it just seemed kinda lifeless to me; I didn’t feel anything while I was reading this. I read it through with my mind only half there and by the end I thought “hmmmm something is just not right” I am still not sure what it was but I guess I didn’t like how the series of events came together. But seriously that is probably just me!!!!!!!!!!!
I wasn’t fussed with the characters either. Isobel was okay, nothing special but not spineless. I hated the love triangle though I mean Brad was the typical jock who is selfish I expected nothing less of him but then Varen came into the picture and it was like he had no personality at all he annoyed me and in books usually if I don’t like one of the guys I don’t enjoy the book as much. But oh well.
This book finished in a blur! It was over five hundred pages but it didn’t feel like it, which probably says something. I wanted to clarify that I did NOT get bored with this book just not pulled in. I also wasn’t too fussed with the first bit I mean the cheerleader falls in love with a Goth, talk about seen it all before but still............
Overall, it wasn’t bad just not exactly what I hoped for, but its still good and I can see why people have fallen in love with it. AND.......... I wanna read the next one
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/74...
I loved this book. It has a great concept, storyline and characters.
Clara is a part angel, with this comes the duty of surving a purpose in life. When Clara has a vision of a boy being surrounded by fire, she believes her purpose is to save him. This books has everything we want, from romance to action and dazzling ideas. I would reccomend this to anyone as it is a great YA book.
Danse Macabre (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter #14) 4/5 stars
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12...
This book relies mostly on vampire politics and does not have any action/fighting scenes. I did laugh a few times when it comes to the pregnancy scare that Anita goes through.
The Harlequin (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter #15) 4/5 stars
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/30...
I loved the concept of the harlequin assassins. This book makes Richard look like an idiot and that bothers me a bit cause even though he has his issues i still like him.
,,_well the most scary part to me in The Ring was when I saw that dead girl sitting ..."
yea the ring is pretty scary lol ive seen 1 and 2. BUt i think the Grudge is even more scary lol do you watch many horror movies?
1984 ~ 1/5 read Oct 8 2010-Jan 19 2011
This is absolutely worst book I have ever read, just blah, blah, blah, the entire time. How the heck did this end up in the Canadian literature list? Seriously? I think I might be dead, from reading this.
Fire Star ~ 5/5 read Dec 15 2010-Jan 19 2011
Wooooow, did not see that coming. I love this author, even though he's a junior fiction writer.
The Fury ~ 5/5 read Jan 19-Jan 20 2011
Jaw-dropping, I couldn't put this book down.
Confluence ~ 5/5 read Jan 26-Jan 28 2011
Finally, I get to see L!
Nightlife ~ 5/5 read Jan 26-Jan 27 2011
The Grendel hung outlined in the window by a scrubbed and shining lunar light. One hand was splayed on the glass with long thin fingers and skin as pale as the moon. A narrow, pointed face grinned at me with a thousand needle teeth and the predatory cheer of a fox in a henhouse. Slanted, almond-shaped eyes glowed with sullen reds, scarlet as blood. Tapered ears pressed flat to the skull, and hair as fine as milkweed shimmered in the air like a corona. The finger tapped again, the nail a metallic ticking against the glass, and a voice spoke. It was a serpent's hiss wrapped around the wet crunch of gargling glass. One word. Just one. It was enough.
"Mine."
The roiling-lava eyes looked down at me with more pride than I'd ever seen in my mother's. Or maybe it wasn't pride so much as rabid avarice. I'd seen Grendels before, more times than I can count, but never like this. Never so close I could see the naked greed in the eyes, the poreless texture of the skin, hear the utterly alien whisper.
Jesus Christ, my mother had f@cked that?
"Blood of of my blood. Flesh of my flesh. Breath of my breath. It is time to go home."
And end quote.
That is one naaaaasty daddeh if I do dare to say so myself.
This book is just....well, flippin' amazing, and I know good books from bad. This makes Mortal Instruments look like day old trash, and I love MI.
The setting and pace to this book is so realistic I couldn't put it down....and as a result had to pass a Mathematics exam on four hours of sleep. The characters are memorable, amusing, and down-right nasty at times, and I couldn't get enough of them.
Especially NON-possessed Cal.
Just saying...
I can't believe this is a first novel, since this authors tone and writing style is so...I really don't know how to describe it, I can only say its down to earth and personal. The author isn't afraid to delve deep into the characters and bring out their worst traits, and yet still makes you love them.
Rob Thurman has done a beautiful job on this, and I can't wait to get my hands on the sequel.
Okay I will start I have already read three books they are
three stars
This seems to happen to me a lot........
I look forward to a book, and then they aren’t everything I hoped for.
Awakened was not bad, it was just not as good as i hoped. First of all I would like to say that this book was in too many people’s perspectives. It didn’t get jumbled exactly but it made the book more distant and to me less of a pull in reading it.
This book didn’t have the level of intimacy in it that the other novels in the series had. I was always on the outskirts never pulled in, I didn’t get addicted to this book, I could stop whenever I wanted to, I even started reading another book while reading this. That doesn’t make it bad though. I totally love the storyline to these novels, and in this book the storyline got more and more detailed it also had new twists and turns, i really liked that.
I love the way this book is written, the authors write in a natural, funny and relaxed way, not too relaxed that the story has no depth, but not at all formal just easy and nice.
I want more Stevie Rae and Rephaim romance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to say that I love their relationship and I am dying to find out more about them. I just want to know more now. LOL. I still like Aphrodite and Darius’s relationship. Now Zoey and Stark?????? Are another story. I have been team Heath for a while, but after what happened in burned I was like “Okay I quite like Stark so I guess I can be team Stark” So in Awakened I was saying that i was team Stark and then.............that Heath segment at the end happened and I am full team Heath again, sorry Stark. Lol.
All in all, i still like this series and want to continue it.
