I'm fine with the changes as long as they don't change the story too much. I'll be a bit disappointed though, if they don't include Mrs. Weasley shouting at Bellatrix.

I think people who were at the test screening mentioned that she isn't as loud as she is in the book, but most people seem to have loved that part anyway.

Ohmygod I'm reading Differences from the Film and Book for Part 2 and ohmygod, Lavender Brown dies. I don't like her but killing her is going overboard!

Same here, Isaac. That part just looks really odd to me. I like that Harry calls Voldemort, Tom, at least once, but it's strange to see Harry physically grabbing him.

That's true - it wouldn't even have to be Avada Kedavra, just something that stops him from being grabbed like a muggle. I hope the scene turns out looking somewhat believable in context. I think someone on mugglecast did say that he couldn't see how Voldemort and Harry could spend so much time in close contact without one killing the other, though. I'm glad that the filmmakers have chosen to extend the final confrontation, but this seems to be a weird way of doing it.
Everything else in the trailer looks amazing, I think. It's nice to see the young Lily and Petunia. The scene with Voldemort walking among the bodies at Malfoy Manor gives me chills - it's probably my favorite part of the trailer.

I mean, I knew they changed that part but (and this is probably completly out of context) but the way harry says "Let's end..."The video didn't work for me, can you sum it up so i can understand what your talking about?
I'll wait until I actually see the film to pass judgement on whether Harry tackling Voldemort off the cliff worked or not. But the rest looks amazing! CAN'T WAIT!

I get what they're going for, that Harry is willing to sacrifice himself to get rid of Voldemort, but I agree that it seems weird. I'm also not sure how I feel about Harry fighting Voldemort in private. I guess I'll wait and see what it looks like in context. 2 1/2 months...

As many of you have said, I don't like the cliff thing. That's a bit weird.Otherwise, I'll be happy to see what's added and whatnot.
I really hope they get the ending right. I mean, in the book, there was some of JKR's humor as well as sorta filling in the fans about the next generation. And, even though she tied up everything nice and neat for the trio, she left things open for the their kids and I really liked that. It felt final and yet there is still some hope that life goes on after the series has finished and the bad guys have been beaten. I wonder how the moviemakers will convey that Harry's scar hasn't hurt all those 17 years? I think it's kinda important but maybe they won't see it that way. I'm betting they'll focus mainly on the kids and I love the idea that they should play the music of the ending scene of SC like someone posted earlier! Speaking of musics, Desplat (who is the composer of both parts of DH) said he was going to incoporated Hedwig's theme more. Yet, I don't think I really heard it in the first part. I think he might've pulled the same rhythmic figure of Hedwig's theme and embedded it deeply into some songs but you really can't tell. Maybe for Part 2, there will be more of the theme and maybe he'll rewrite the SC ending scene for the ending scene in DH.
Maybe the moviemakers should look at sites like this so they know what the fans want, not what sells best. >.< that's so irritating!

What does everyone think of yesterday's trailer?
Besides the weird cliff jump that we’ve already seen, the only thing that looks odd to me is the bit where Voldemort and Harry crawl after the Elder Wand. The Ron/Hermione moment at 1:40 is my favorite, but I also love Snape’s line from the “The Prince’s Tale” and the transition to the burning Quidditch pitch. I love almost all of it actually. :) I just don’t feel like I can be very picky right now.

I LOVE the Ron/Hermione moment too!!! I'm actually glad they are showing these little bits of them and not shots of the kiss in the trailers--we can all see it fresh in the film for the first time! The trailer as a whole is wonderful, especially with the touch of nostalgia at the beginning. I also love McGonagall rallying the troops!

They actually had ro redo that last scene. I think the producers/directors really understand that this is the last movie and that this is the last chance to redeem themselves in the eyes of HP fans forever. Plus, I think this was the last scene to be shot ever so emotions were high and maybe it helped the actors to perform even better! Perhaps I'm being naive...anyway, I think it'd be worth it to see all the actors grown up (or as grown up as Hollywood can make them)

David Barron did say that the epilogue will be about two minutes and test screen viewers have said that it's pretty short, so I don't think there's any reason to expect a much longer epilogue. It's nice that Dan seems happier with his performance in DH2 than in the other films. I'm really looking forward to seeing him in the forest.

0_0 it's only 2 minutes long?!?!?!?!?! WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?! It had better be like 2 minutes of absolute perfection!!!!!

I really really want to have confidence in them but 6 and 1/2 movies have taught me that I will alwaysbe disappointed but the levels of disappointment varies with each movie.
I think we're going to get a fairly electrifying movie from what I've seen, and there's four days until midnight peremiere Thursday. I'm ready to be disappointed but I'd be lying if I said my hopes weren't high.

Pandy wrote: "Besides the weird cliff jump that we’ve already seen, the only thing that looks odd to me is the bit where Voldemort and Harry crawl after the Elder Wand."I wonder if they're trying to shorten a lengthy explanation about wand loyalty somehow. Who knows.

I can't wait. 3 days...
I saw it about 19 and a half hours ago. I'm trying to word this as to not ruin the story. Personally, I like it. I think they could've had a few more sets in the film but other than that, it was the best I thought it could be. I like the scene exactly before the epilogue the last few seconds before it goes "19 years later..." , hoping thats not a big spoiler.
