ha ha - I like your descriptors on the lower pointed ratings. I always have such a tough time because I don't want my average rating to be too high (e.g. 4 stars) because then how do you mark the truly exceptional books. Then again, if a book is shaping up to be a 2 or less by 50 pages in or so, I'm so likely to abandon it, but I don't think it's fair to rate it if you don't finish it. I never considered the need to burn off purgatory time! Happy reading!

I've never read a graphic novel; I think of them as the Classic Comics of my youth. Your review is hysterical -- especially about Claire's appearance.

I did! And I did!! Re your review: isn't it funny how contrary we can be about popular books. Luckily I read this before I heard everyone rave about it otherwise I might never have picked it up.

I'm surprised this book hasn't gotten more attention. I loved it, too.

I read it for my f2f book club, too, otherwise, I probably wouldn't have picked it up.

Yes, I did. Funny thing is, while I liked Hunger Games, I didn't love it. I think I liked Catching Fire best of the three.
