Sarah | 13814 comments Lori! Acupuncture! Do you want me to find you someone my aunt or sister knows?

message 52: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Is that where they stick painful needles in you to distract you from wanting to smoke?

Lori Oh! Sallers, that's right, acupuncture should be great! Actually I know an excellent one, an older Chinese guy who is a real master. Thanks for reminding me, and that would help release lots of other toxins too!

OK, I think I passed another crisis and feel safe to go out without finding myself at the 7/11 to buy ciggies. I swear, I was THIS close!

I'm actually the *clonkee* you get to *clonk* me. I believe that the preferred weapon is a two by four.

Hey, it was me, not Sally. Smetchie is right, the needles aren't bad. Spoken by a needlephobe.

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments My 5th grade teacher did acupuncture on the people in our class who raised their hands to try it. I tried it. Didn't feel anything except a teensy pleasant warm sensation where the needle was.

Lori Sorry Sarah, I'm so confuddled right now I'm getting my S all mixed up.

message 59: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13814 comments I know that addiction centers and methadone clinics often have community acupuncture programs, which mostly have a whole bunch of people in one room and do points on earlobes and hands. It's much cheaper, but it's effective for those particular issues (and some others as well).

Maybe you have my *s* I've seemed to knock it off my brass. One too many s could really confusicate things.

Sarah | 13814 comments Georges Perec managed to get by without any E's, so you should survive the lack of S's.

Jim | 6484 comments Oh, good question Barb. I'm available for a good *clonking* if it helps.
