The hijacking has gotten WAAAAAY out of control...can't even see the other threads due to so many being flagged as important.

I took care of those. Please let me know if they start doing that again...I'll try to keep an eye on it though...
OK I'm really sorry about that. What kinds of things could be marked as important do you think?
Generally there are only 2 types of messages I would mark as important...both are rare. 1. Administrative messages from me to the group. I mark these important because I think everyone should get a chance to read it and I want to keep it at the top. (which may not happen because I usually don't require a response to it)
2. Administrative messages from some group members to the rest of the group. Like when we started the Monthly 1001 reading club. Mara (the group member whose idea it was to start that book club) kept getting messages about how the book club worked. In order to cut down on people asking the same questions over and over, we just posted a "FAQ" about the new book club as important so it would stay at the top for a few weeks.
If you think your message needs to be at the top for a period of time, just message me first and I'll let you know what I think.
