Omega is the lowest rank... that would really suck to be an omega, that's like being called the total loser...
no, they still benefit the pack a lot. they help raise the pups, and prevent fights between pack mates. every wolf in a pack is still family.

1.alphas: top rank, most confident, make decisions
2. betas: next rank, strongest, in charge of discipline, delivers killing bite in hunt
3. omegas: bottom rank, smallest, fastest, chase prey during hunt, prevent fights.
4. wolves eat according to rank: alphas, betas, omegas.
5. lower ranks must always show submission to alphas.
6.submission: tail between legs, whimpering, lowering body, licking alpha's muzzle, lying on back exposing belly.
7. aggression: baring teeth, snarling, growling, bristling fur, ears laid back, tail raised, eye contact.
8. after eating, pack sleeps and plays together.
9. pack hunts once about every two or three days.
10. in the wild, most wolves die in their prime, around 8 years old.
11. only the alphas in the pack mate.
12. when scent-marking, the alphas lift their legs, while lower-ranking wolves have to squat.
13. a single deer is usually enough to feed the pack.
