message 404: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Epic number, Kate. BUt I've been waiting for this one. :)

3210!

message 405: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments I was waiting for mine for a while. I decided I'm only going to post epic numbers. Yours is pretty darn awesome, though.

message 406: by natalie (new)

natalie | 5047 comments Whoo-whoo for both of you!

1820.

My friends and I are going to celebrate Harry's birthday... By making owl cupcakes. Big mistake? I said we should make them blue, thinking of Percy Jackson >.<

message 407: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments I know, right? I was gonna post at 3200, but then i looked at it and realized that I only had to wait 10 more posts before I could get by epic number. ;)

Very nice, Natalie! lolz

message 408: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments Owl cupcakes would be hard to make. Coming from the person whose mom makes mouse cupcakes for my birthday every year.

If you do make them blue, don't make them brick-like.

message 409: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Oh wow. I just bake normal cookies and brownies- sometimes butting food colouring in, but those sound kinda hard to make.

message 410: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments Instructions for making mice:

1)buy premade cupcakes
2)buy raisinets, twizzlers (pull and peel preferably), m&ms, and Necco wafers or chocolate circles, etc.
3)peel apart the twizzlers, and break into smaller pieces, some about 3 inches, and some about 1/2 an inch
4)put m&ms in for eyes, a raisinet for a nose, Necco wafers/mentos/chocolate disks/whatever for ears, small twizzler pieces for whiskers, and a larger twizzler piece for a tail
5)you have a mouse. Now eat it!

It's actually quite easy. My mom started making them when she didn't have enough time to bake one year, but felt bad just getting storebout cupcakes.

message 411: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments AHhaha, nicee.

message 412: by natalie (new)

natalie | 5047 comments Yes, no bricks intended :)

My mom's an amzing baker, and we have a cookbook telling you how to make them, so :) White for Hedwig or brown for Pig, Errol, Hermes, ect...?

message 413: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Cool!

message 414: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments Sounds interesting. I've heard of Harry Potter cookbooks before, but I haven't seen them. Does it have other cool recipes?

message 415: by natalie (last edited May 04, 2011 09:28PM) (new)

natalie | 5047 comments My friend has it and she's made butterbeer, Polyjuice Potion, Cauldron cakes, all of it :) Harry's favorite treacle treat...

message 416: by natalie (new)

natalie | 5047 comments Oh, and no, I don't have the Harry Potter cook book, we just have a standard cupckae book telling you how to make cupcakes and owls are in there.

message 417: by Kate (last edited May 08, 2011 11:24AM) (new)

Kate | 8205 comments Oh, since you said "white for Hedwig, etc." I assumed you meant the instructions told you that. I now understand that you meant you would make it x color.

What does polyjuice potion taste like? It's supposed to be disgusting in the books. I've wanted to try butterbeer for a while.

message 418: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments That sounds intriguing.

3344

message 419: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments Nice.

4545

message 420: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments I love Epic numbers. And it's easier to get to them when you aren't paying attention to the number of posts you have.

Nice!

message 421: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Thanks, Halley.

message 422: by natalie (new)

natalie | 5047 comments 1843

I'm not sure what it tastes like, but I really wan to borrow the book from her..

message 423: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments Yeah, it is, Rae. Every so often i just notice I have an awesome number. Like right now, I just discovered that I have 4554. Which, in case you didn't notice is a palindrome.

If you borrow the book, Natalie, tell us how the stuff tastes. I'm curious.

message 424: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments So am I. We had pumpkin juice at the HP7 book party the night of the midnight release of DH7a and it was horrible. But it was like a mix that you added to water so I didn't expect it to be great.

NicE!My younger sister's name is a palindrome (Hannah). And I'm about to have an awesome palindromic number. :)

message 425: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid My favorite numbers are ones that line up.
1234
5678
234 etc
Or:
1111
22
333

That kind of thing.

message 426: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments I know what you mean. I've had sweet numbers like that several times.

message 427: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid I probably have, but I didn't notice.

message 428: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Yeah, normally i don't notice since it seems like your posts go up faster if you aren't paying attention.

message 429: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid "A watched pot never boils"

message 430: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments They definitely do. And then sometimes the epic ones come really close together, so unless you're expecting it, you're way more likely to miss the second one.

Like I just checked (when I check, it''s usually because I'm on this topic) and I have 4568.

My last cool number was only a little more than 10 ago, so I didn't notice that I missed 4567.

message 431: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid Ah. Good point.
178
It is kind of cool. But not really.

message 432: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Yeah, I love my next number to post. :) And I generally don't even pay attention otherwise.

message 433: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments 3443 :)

message 434: by Taylor (last edited May 08, 2011 09:29PM) (new)

Taylor (taylorjaylene) | 4557 comments Rae, you are quickly catching up to me and Jess.

You know how you said you don't notice you reach a landmark til you get there? This happens to be post #3800 for me. Exactly. Hah.

message 435: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Hahah, nicee. :) ANd I'm quite excited about that.

message 436: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid 210.
Argh. I just missed 200. Ah well.

message 437: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid Well. Still more than me. :D But, we will post with reckless abandon!
Actually, let's not do that. That could be annoying...

message 438: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid 222
I love that number.
Unfortunately, it is now 223.

message 439: by natalie (new)

natalie | 5047 comments Yes, I most definatly will. :)

1868

message 440: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Way, you changed your picture! :)

message 441: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid Yes, I did. I was bored.

message 442: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments I find it interesting how some people change their pictures all the time and I haven't changed mine since I joined two years ago.

message 443: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Hahah, very nice. I change mine every so often, but not as often as some people do (esp. not like they do on facebook. they change like every day sometimes!)

message 444: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid (Why would they do that? I've had my facebook picture for....
At least months.)

I was tired of looking at myself, I wanted to look at the cover of a book. Also, I just really, really like the cover of Wildwood Dancing.

message 445: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments (I changed mione the same time i changed my GR pic.)

Hahah, it's really pretty

message 446: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid I know. It is such a detailed and fancy cover.
It makes me happy.

message 447: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments I love amazing covers.

message 448: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid Exactly. Speaking of amazing covers:
Entwined by Heather Dixon

message 449: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Like the Alison Jay covers of the BoB
