It doesn't need to be hurt at all, Myra thought sourly, closing her eyes again. "It's all numb now," she said in a childish voice, closing her eyes, face setting into an expression of utmost uncomfortability.
"I am... very excited," Ajax said, enthusiasm brightening his features. "When can I see it?"

Diona made a disgusted face. "I'm not helpless." She protested, but jumped up onto the coy letting her feet dangle over the side sitting up drowsily, her eyes droopy.
Diona sighed, gritting her teeth. She lay down as she was told, fingering the dagger in belt. She closed her eyes, set off onto a cruise of ninja dreams.
Lucas chuckled softly, but his brow was still furrowed in concern. "I reckon that's a good thing," he mused.
Holly shrugged, pursing her full lips in thought. "Soon, I s'pose, probably next time I see you. Hopefully my bird didn't try to eat it."
Jasmine nodded, glancing around the injured demigods. "Is the rest of our cabin okay?"

"...Eat it?" Ajax said, quirking his eyebrows in a questioning look.
"Probably," Myra mumbled, looking around for the can of nectar to quench her parched lips. "I'd rather not feel it, anyway."

..."
Rose raised her eyebrow further. "What did I miss?" She demanded, carefully avoiding why she'd missed so much action.
"You'll see what I mean when I show you," Holly explained briefly, gazing down at him with an amused, secretive smile.
Lucas acquired a canteen for Myra from a passing nymph, holding it to her. "What were you doing up in a tree, anyway?" he asked, lowering his voice.

"You probably missed a lot," Caspar said with a shrug, not really knowing what Rose meant. "Why, where were you stationed?
"Oh... kay," Ajax said with a faint grin.
Holding the canteen with a trembling arm, Myra pushed herself into a sitting position. Her injured arm lay motionless in her lap. "Shooting. Caspar told me to get up into a tree for better targets."

"I'd better go check up on my cabin," Holly said, glancing around for any sign of Cassidy. "And--" She stopped short, only just remembering something in the back of her mind. "Er, have you seen your half-sister...?"
((Do you mean Caspar, Whim...? o.O))

((But I thought Caspar told Myra to go into the trees. :/))
Holly shrugged, thinking it had been a little obvious. She would certainly be a tad worried of a new camper entering such violent game so soon into their stay. "I was just wondering," she said in a soothing tone, assuring nothing was wrong.

Now the paranoia started going through Ajax as well. "Oh, gods, no, no, no," he said, trying to get off the bed. "I have to find her. Can someone /please/ get this bloody charm off?!"
Damn it, now you've done it, Holly. "No, stay," she commanded firmly, glancing around for any sign of the girl. "I'll go and get her. Please, just stay," she said, more an order than a request.
Lucas nodded. "And I'm assuming you shot a lot of people down?" he asked with a faint grin, winking.

Rose bit her lip, knowing that she was about to confuse him. "I was stationed by Didi," she growled. Stupid whatever that was, she thought with an angry expression.

So close. Luck runs in this boy.
A cart of bandages was brought close and the medics worked quickly to patch the comatose boy together again.
Diona's wound was healed though her excitement before hand had been from adrenaline, now she was back to unconciousness. Her hand never removed from her blade though she whispered incomprehensible things in her sleep.
Elisa hummed softly at Deon's side, her finger tracing his neck giving him energy and healing some of his minor wounds. She fixed some arrow marks, the ones she had strewn and fired. She was saddens by the effect, but not exactly regretful. She was defending herself.
((How can she give him extra energy? She's not Hebe...))
Lying next to Deon, her bloodied back bare to the open, Airlia floated in and out of consciousness. The stabbing pains shot through various parts of her body kept her on the tips of her nerves, however, and her dreams were those of another's. Warriors fighting to defend the plundered, burning remains of their once golden city.
*
After much work on her wounds, Airlia had been given a Camp Half-Blood t-shirt to pull over her bare torso (orange, her most detested colour), a shower, and a green apple, which she now held between nervous fingers. The apple was throoughly bruised by the pinching, and yet she didn't take one look at it; her eyes were worriedly on the comatose Deon's. Yes, she was still beautiful, a stunner, but her features now held a ghostly beauty; she was wan and drawn, but not for lack of strength. It was out of worry for the boy.
It was all my fault. If she hadn't stumbled onto him, if she hadn't unleashed her hellish magic on him, confused him... if she hadn't been there at all, this would have never happen.
She moved from her bed, wind ruffling through her golden curls and spreading her scent of lemon and honey, so the cleaning dryad could make the sheets and give it to someone else in need, sitting on the corner of Deon's. All she wanted to do was kiss him awake but refrained herself from touching him in the slightest.
My fault. All mine.

"Only because I'm stuck to this bloody bed," Ajax said furiously. Not with Holly-- with himself for forgetting about Keelyn during the match. Lousy brother, crummy captain-- is there /anything/ I can do right?
"Mhm," Myra said with the barest trace of a smile. "Everyone you see with a rash is my work."

Rose looked up at the sound of Ajax's angered voice. She yearned to comfort her friend, but held back, not trusting herself or his temper.
"I'll find her and then get the 'bloody' charm off so you can get off the 'bloody' bed," Holly said with an exasperatedly laughing sigh, putting her hand to her forehead and shaking her head. She had always ridiculed the way he spoke, it was highly amusing to her. She turned around and walked off, looking among the injured campers for the familiar blonde head.
"Nice," Lucas said with a grin, not bothering to glance around. He'd already seen a fair amount of campers suffering the effects of the arrows. "You did a great job."

((LOL, yeah, in Toronto. It was tiny but everyone made a huge deal out of it. I was watching The Other Boleyn Girl on a laptop at my desk when it started and I thought I was having a seizure for five seconds.))
"Thank you, lovie," Ajax said with a sigh, sinking back onto the pillow that was his prison.
"Except for the whole falling out of a tree part," Myra said, glancing at her mangled arm. "Franchement, I don't know what it is with me and injuries but they happen quite often. I've already broken this arm when I was nine." She shrugged, or at least attempted, grimacing at the pain. "Ah, well. I guess I can get Narcyz back for it later."

((xD I remember the time in VA we were supposed to have a tornado. I was six and my brother told me to get into position (a very uncomfortable, fetal position on the floor and to the wall), and left me there until I started crying. -.-'))
Only mere moments later did Holly appear, trailing behind her the barely scratched daughter of Nemesis.
"Hi, Ajax," Keelyn greeted cheerfully, no sign of injury visible. She decided not to add that he looked awful, but concern did show in her bright eyes.
"And I thought they were kind of battle useless," Lucas said with an almost rueful sigh. "Ah, well, I beta after this all they're gonna do is sleep some more."

((-.- Schmedwin is seriously evil.))
"Keelyn," Ajax said with a sigh, sliding off the bed and stumbling, but regaining balance ((<--of course he did, LOLZ)) immediately. Simyda drifted off but remained standing near, watching Ajax with what was a decidedly untrustworthy expression.
"Where were you? I'm so sorry, Keelyn," Ajax said with a regretful curl of his lip. "I completely forgot this was your first time; I should have been with you."

((xD Lawl.))
"S'okay," Keelyn replied, just as cheery as ever. She hadn't done much during the game, but it had been incredibly fun. "I had fun, it was great. And besides, our team won and I'm fine. There were nice people on our team to help me," she said, almost talking a little too fast from the excitement.

Ajax sighed, incredibly relieved. "I nearly had a bloomin' heart attack, I did," he said in the Scouse dialect he'd picked up from his uncle.
Myra nodded with that same curious smile, barely there. "Yes, I suppose so," she said, voice getting louder as she said, "They're hardly fair. I was in a tree for crying out loud."

"I'm assuming that has absolutely nothing to do with flowers," Keelyn said with a grin, talking a little more openly. Holly had left, to go check on a few others, and it was easy to see the level of awkward between the two.
"Loud and proud, dear," Lucas said with a quiet laugh, not having any problem at all with it. "They'll be sleeping with one eye open."

It took Ajax a moment to understand the joke and he chuckled. "Not at all, my dear," he said, reverting to the crisp London drawl. "Try underwear and then you'd be close."
"I'll spend the next year thinking of ways to get them back," Myra said, the old devious smile lighting up her features.

The laughing lines still etched on Ajax's face, he turned to the familiar voice, laugh fading to a smile. "Yeah, I'll be fine. Bell from Phobos got me with his axe," he said briefly, not mentioning the terrifying images that he'd seen of Holly.
"Ah." Keelyn quieted, debating on whether or not to pry. In the end, curiosity seemed not to care about respecting privacy. So she was about to ask, What's up with your lady friend? But then another girl came up, and she immediately clammed up again.
"I'd be a little scared," Lucas said, chuckling. Then, in the back of his mind, he remembered his cabin. And blondie. "I should go check on the kid, y'know, Andromeda."

((I just did the biggest bunny-wabbit sneeze of bunny-wabbit sneezedom in the middle of the very echo-y and silent library. *mortified*))
"Of course," Myra said, taking on a mockingly hurt look at the mention of Andromeda's name. "Then again, if I happen to die while you're away, no loss to you, you'll find another girlfriend from your fan club, hm?"

"A..."
And yet, he did not awaken, still captivated by whatever demons plagued him.

"Ah, the little--" Lucas cut himself off from whatever insult was coming up for Andy, and there was a wide variety of what he could have said. "So she told you, eh?((lololol)) Naw, that's not what I meant when I told her. She just found it hard to believe I could attract someone."
"Deon," Airlia cried out immediately, hands flying to cup his face. The wounds were cleaned and partly healed now.
She'd been alert since that first dear breath he'd taken, feelings and thoughts exchanging places as she bent down, pressing her lips to his. They tasted like the warm tiramisu Chloe made; vestiges of ambrosia. "Please," she murmured, pulling back and staring at him with those wide terrified eyes. "Please."

"I'm sure," Myra said with a pout she'd perfected at age five, wide blue eyes taking on an expression of utmost hurt.
((Rose... I already replied... Check message 87 -.-))

"Don't look at me like that," Lucas warned Myra, unable to keep down the corners of his smiling mouth. "You know I love you," he said with a sigh, leaning in and giving her a small peck on the lips.

((OH!! I'm sorry! I misunderstood that post.))
"An axe? Joy, Ajax. The idea makes my blood go cold," Rose muttered, picturing Ajax running around with an axe over his head. "I am glad you're okay, though." She mumbled, feeling the need to avoid his gaze. She decided that she hadn't chosen her words careful enough, and he might get the wrong idea.

Then his eyes fluttered to reveal an intense gold. His body hummed to life, vibrating with electric current. Sadness coated his eyes to mingle with concerned confusion as Deon took in the sight of Airlia.
"You really do need to sleep more, Airlia. Those dark circles don't become you," he wheezed, purposely pushing a jesting front in hopes to soothe whatever worry she had.
Why does she look on the verge of tears? The game must have got to her.

Relief was plain in Airlia’s eyes, eyes that could turn from one passionate emotion to the next. For if Airlia was one thing she was certainly passionate. And the sadness in those familiar eyes, warm and lovely, such a beautiful amber gold…
“Oh, gods,” she said, hands flitting from his face to his chest to his hands and back again. “I didn’t… I couldn’t…”
The guilt wouldn’t let her say anything else and she closed her eyes, in apparent torment for the conflicting emotions inside her.
“Deon. I haven’t been entirely honest with you.”
He’s going to hate me. He’s going to abhor me.
Heart feeling as if it would flutter out of her chest, Airlia said the words she’d been avoiding for eight years.
“I lifted the… magic from you as soon as I regained control of it. Five years ago.” The words were barely more than a whisper; she seemed so ashamed of herself, golden hair hanging down in streaming curls to frame her lovely face. “I had to tell you. If this… I can’t live with myself any longer, I feel like I’m cheating you. I had… I had to tell you.”
And yet, there remained three more words to be said.

Lucas shrugged, getting a pretty good impression of what she meant. "Don't move much, we don't want that arm hurt anymore than it needs to be."
"No, just a little bruised," Jasmine said.
