You can imagine just how fun this is to decipher when it comes to reading it/typing it up. Especially with my absolutely wonderful handwriting."

message 403: by Thalia (new)

Thalia (thaliaanderson) I write on my computer, or on the laptop. I have an external harddrive now, because I'd die if I lost any of my files. And I can transport between the computer and laptop easier.

I like to write on the couch, usually. Generally waaaaayyy late at night, when everyone else is asleep, or just when nobody else is home. I can't write chapters by hand, just because usually, my writing is really long. :/

Gita (sita_nala) | 4 comments i write on my computer, but if i suddenly get an idea i like to write it down in my notebook.

I'm confused as to what inanimate object I would be.

PyroLily ~Qui scribit bis legit~ (pyrolily) | 290 comments I guess. But I have black person hair which is just dificult.

Natasha (ar y ffin) (Natasha_ar_y_ffin) I write anywhere I can. Mostly in my room. I write on loose-leaf paper which I keep all the pages in a folder, or in a journal that's like 500 pages.

message 412: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Williams | 251 comments I write anytime inspiration strikes! I carry a notebook with poems and such in it and I'm adding stuff if I get inspiration, or when I just feel like it, but the place I write the most is probably on my couch.

message 417: by Shealea (new)

Shealea (shutupshealea) Most of my writing, especially when it comes to poetry, are done with Microsoft Word. However, I do like to jot down excerpts in a spare notebook every now and then, whenever I get enough inspiration. (Also, the presence of a thesaurus is really helpful for me.)

message 418: by Janelle (new)

Janelle (its_jt_lv) | 14 comments I write on a note book, then i correct everything with my red pen. After i finish correcting it i type it up on Word pad. Because i don't have Microsoft. After finish typing it on Wordpad i print it and redit it with my english teacher and Mom. After i send copies to my family and friends they read it and review it.

message 419: by Lucie (new)

Lucie (lucielu) | 71 comments My wonderful mother bought me a Moleskine <3 <3 <3 And that's where I write poetry and song lyrics, but I generally just use my laptop or I write on my hand. In gym class. Strangely, that's where I get most of my inspiration.

message 423: by Elle (new)

Elle Doe (thegrandlowblood) | 21 comments Sort of. Yeah, I guess. I had a really good fight scene, but then it disappeared and I was mad.

☽❣≾Кἆяἆ ☾இ☽ סℯἆด ฬỉฑcჩℯธセℯԻ≿❣☾ | 56 comments yeah, i always come up with the best scenes, when i don't have access to a pen and paper

Yup. I don't know about forgetting whole scenes, but I sometimes forget little things. Like I'll be falling asleep and think something like, "Aw man I just thought of the perfect name for that character! Ah, I'll probably remember it in the morning..." And then ... I don't. Bummer.

Yeah. Me too. I force myself to get up and write it on a random sheet of paper.

☽❣≾Кἆяἆ ☾இ☽ סℯἆด ฬỉฑcჩℯธセℯԻ≿❣☾ | 56 comments I would do that but, with my luck I would lose the piece of paper. lol. But your right i should start doing that. lol. :)

That's happened to me before and I try to drag myself out of bed to write it down. I've also had dreams where I remember when I wake up that something really cool happened that would make a great story, but I can't quite remember what it was anymore.

Berwald ~I Have Moved Accounts~ | 26 comments To answer your question of where I write, I write wherever I can. I mostly write at home, but if I'm at school, or out, and I have a pad of paper with me, I will start writing when I'm inspired.

I know this will be strange, but have you ever wrote part of your story, went to bed, and dreampt of what you wrote? That has happened to me before when I write my story.

Usually my problem is that I'll be in a dream and I'll be like "This would be such a great story!" And then I wake up and realize that my dream logic was terrible and that actually the idea was really stupid. Like, one time I had this dream where I thought it would be a brilliant idea to write a book about zebras ... Errm.

message 437: by Sam (new)

Sam Is it weird that I usually write either in a tree or on my roof?? O_O

If I can't get to either of those spots, I'm usually in a dimly lit corner of my room with a pumpkin spice or evergreen candle lit and a bowl full of M&Ms next to me :)

I have a new composition notebook for NaNo, and it makes me happy. I started my first draft of my first novel in a composition notebook, and I haven't used one since, so it gives me feels.

But I ramble.

grimple ᵔᴥᵔ I always write on the computer. It's so much better and faster. That, and I've been told by almost everyone that's seen my handwriting that it's so messy you can't even read it, and I can't help but agree...
