message 1255: by Fiona (Titch) (new)

Fiona (Titch) Hunt (titch) Lol Kathy. I have also just finished Pretties. Wow, what a book. Had me stuck to it over the past 48hrs. This is a great 2nd book for this series. Shows you how Tally and the gang start thinking for themselves and all the trouble they get into lol. Can't wait to see what happens next in the next installment.

I would say 8/10 again for me.

Now I am going to read Megan's Way

The Uglies series are great, although I do have to say he kind of lost it in the fourth book.

Galya, 4th book was a spin off. Tally only appears in it as a spare in the sense of not the main character.

message 1258: by Wild for Wilde (new)

Wild for Wilde (wildforwilde) | 17 comments American Psycho, Gone With the Wind, A Picture of Dorian Gray, and Going Rogue. I can't wait to re-read a Christmas Carol!

message 1259: by Andrez (new)

Andrez (andrez-ssi) picture of dorian gray is great, I loved it!what do you think of it?

message 1260: by Wild for Wilde (new)

Wild for Wilde (wildforwilde) | 17 comments Excellent so far, I've never read anything by Wilde that I didn't like. I even visited his gravestone when I studied abroad in Paris to pay my respects. There is a huge almost Egyptian like scuplture over it that was covered with hundreds of lipstick kisses! I guess that's a tradition his fans to do.

message 1261: by Andrez (new)

Andrez (andrez-ssi) lol

message 1264: by Marian (new)

Marian Thomas (marianlthomas) | 2 comments I purchased "The Help" a few months ago but haven't begun to read it. I was turned off by the profanity in the book after reading just the first chapter. Looking for good books with drama and no profanity. Any recommendations?

message 1265: by Beth A. (new)

Beth A. (bethalm) Thanks for the info Marian. I also don't enjoy reading books with profanity. I'm taking "The Help" off my to-read list. There are too many books I will enjoy to spend my time on something I won't!

message 1266: by Lianne (new)

Lianne (eclecticreading) I just finished reading Hislop's The Island so I'm now focusing on reading Steve Berry's The Paris Vendetta A Novel. I'm about halfway through and it's pretty intriguing =D

Kathy (readr4ever) | 139 comments I'm still reading the Hamish Macbeth mysteries by M.C. Beaton, just couldn't quit on the series until I'd reached the end (well until the new one comes out). I have a tendency to get stuck on a series.
