The Story of Edgar Sawtelle: A Novel
It's a great book.
Me too ... and I second the "great book" comment! ;o)

How annoyi..."
You can tell he's not a reader!

No. It was just okay. It was very disjointed. I think it helped to have just finished the book the day before. I'm surprised that a movie was even attempted.

Fugitive Pieces by Anne Michaels (almost done)
A Long Long Way by Sebastian Barry
Suite Francaise by Irene Némirovsky
Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carrol
IT'S TOO MUCH!

I guess I just expected a lot more since I enjoyed the book a lot.

I am now reading American Psycho and White Oleander. White Oleander is amazing so far :)"
I liked the Time Travellers Wife a lot as well. I am looking forward to your review of American Psycho.

I'm reading a YA Shannon Hale: Enna Burning. Shannon Hale's books are so entertaining, I can't put it down. Next I think I'll read either The House at Riverton or Shogun. But I'm in university, and school's starting soon.... so I don't know how successful I'll be at finishing either. :'(

You're not alone in loving TTT. It has almost a cult following... well, not really, but it should :D I recommend The House at Riverton - it's better than The Forgotten Garden.

Starting Sense and Sensibility for the Sept read

I flew thru that too! I Loved it! ENJOY

That's one of my huge favorites. I loved that book!!
I started The Evil Seed by Joanne Harris. Vampires aren't really my thing, but hey, it's been hanging around on my bookcase for ages for I thought I might as well give it a go. I'm challenging myself to read it in one day (an ability I've lost).

This book is so good and to have a few pages almost impossible to read is just not fair! I am going to write to the publisher!!!!

You mean they're really faded?
Do write to the publishing house - maybe they'll send to a free replacement copy?

Cloud Atlas is an awesome book! Can't wait to read what you thought about it.
Re-reading Arcadia A Play for AS English Lit. I only read it in like July or August. Still, it is nice to go deeper, even if members of my class feel the need to perform it with a crude comic edge. :P

1. The Name of the Rose including Postscript to the Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco, I read it in greek that is called:Το Όνομα του Ρόδου.
2. Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie, for a mounth read of another group in GR.
3. The Septembers of Shiraz by Dalia Sofer.
4. The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards, for the fall challange.

The Sun Also Rises - Hemingway
The Fall - Camus
The Jungle - Sinclair
I've found the re-reading these books after having lived a little they flourish with nuances I missed, and become less of an intellectual excersise that they were in high school or college.
I started Wuthering Heights today for school. It will take me an age because we're reading it 'as a class'. 'Twill be my second attempt (found it OTT and exasperating before).
