I personally read a bunch of Sci-Fi, LGBT, Technology, Graphic Novels, and Craft related books.

I'd like for us to be able to read whatever book and discuss it. We can discuss on here, or in person if you'd like. Having this be 'virtual' might make it easier for everybody but I'm definitely open to having actual meetings take place.

Praveen Sinha | 2 comments On the flip side of the happiness project (which sounds like a good read to me), a book that has been on my reading list for a while is "Shadow Elite" as reviewed here: http://www.antropologi.info/blog/anth...

Praveen Sinha | 2 comments Also a good book that I read in a previous book group, but is worth revisiting particularly since enough time has passed it's worth talking about how close we are living in his reality is David Brin's "Transparent Society"

Danny O'brien | 1 comments I like the idea of the Happiness Project. It sounds a good New Years Resolution kind of book.

We haven't picked a book. But I am interested in all the books posted here so far. I'd like us to pick something before the end of the week, and would love to see more people interested in this book club.

Marc Juul (juul) | 1 comments I'm in. I've been wanting to read something by John Sundman. Perhaps his "Acts of the Apostles": "...Acts of the Apostles lyrically, hypnotically pretends to be an investigation of Gulf War Syndrome, but its real subject is Kaczynski's Postulate: that technology and freedom cannot be reconciled..."

I think we'll start off with The Happiness Project, and follow it with The Unincorporated Man, does this sound good to everybody?

Please feel free to add books to the shelves in this group. I think we should keep it mixed up and read both fiction and non-fiction. I'm not sure if we're big enough to have two books going in parallel for those who don't want to read non-fiction, but I definitely wouldn't oppose that.

Would setting the 'due' date to the end of the month be too long? I think we should start a forum topic for each book and write our feedback or post links to our reviews. If you don't want to provide feedback, or a review on a book thats fine but I think it would be great to discuss the books as/after we read them.
