Darkangel wrote: "Woohoo - I'm back for a bit. Just read it Sarah - Loved it."Good I just commenced 36 I'm with Richard and Chas Denman, in Atlanta he is just bringing Denman up to speed on his telephone call with Charlene.
Sarah wrote: "Trisha wrote: "Morning"Morning Trisha
How's you, hope your weather is better than ours!"
It's cold her this mornng
Darkangel wrote: "Same here Trisha. It's gray and wet and we have just put the heater on in the office."It's sunny here just cold
Darkangel wrote: "Same here Trisha. It's gray and wet and we have just put the heater on in the office."It's dull, grey, windy and cold here and I am about to do the same as Darkangel!
Darkangel wrote: "Even had Soup for lunch!"I had chicken, chips and cauliflower cheese - a sunday leftover lunch though with the two dogs it's surprising there was any chicken left for today!
MorningJo text me last night to say her copy of The Thin Blue Line had arrived and Herve and her were well impressed! She has a free morning this morning and she is sofa bound with a large coffee and mums masterpiece. I am more nervous about her reading it than I am about all the publishers and editors in the world!
Darkangel wrote: "She will love it. You have nothing to worry about."Well if she doesn't she will at least be kind in her critique! We have the same tastes in stories, endings are important and mine has three! All of which finish their story and leave the door open to write the sequel!
Darkangel wrote: "I think it is coffee time - I have another one of those days ahead of me :("The temp still off sick or just pressure of work?
The temp will not be turning up, she couldn't take it. We have another new temp and an arsehole of a consultant sulking around. Things we should all drop what we are doing to help him - Not again. I am helping with the typing of his clinics, but I am doing my work first and he doesn't like it. He thinks he is the only consultant with work that needs doing. At least Fiona is back which makes it a little easier!
Darkangel wrote: "The temp will not be turning up, she couldn't take it. We have another new temp and an arsehole of a consultant sulking around. Things we should all drop what we are doing to help him - Not again..."Ex lax is pretty good for clearing arseholes! I would open a bar and leave it unwrapped on my desk in the hope that he takes a big chunk!
Puppy's in disgrace again, I managed to stop him peeing in the house but still to address the pooping problem, he's sleeping off the nose dipping session he just got on the sofa.
Oh dear, poor little thing. He will learn. Oh well I will have to claim overtime - not sure he will like that - ;o)

I sincerely hope so, and soon because s**t shovelling is not my favourite pastime! Nor is being mean to poor defenceless aminals, but if I don't want to spend the next 10 years or so cleaning up after this dog it has to be done. Poor Eclair, he looks at me as if to say 'it wasn't me, I'm a good doggy I am!' With a really superior look on his face.
He is still sulking and paying the puppy back by eating his special puppy biscuits and leaving the puppy his!
I would take time off in lieu - you don't pay tax on time in lieu!
I put the three chapters of Growing Old Disgracefully up on my writing under cover of the 18 sticker naturally!
I that is what I do. I save up my time in case of snow days where I can't get in to work, think I have about 14 Hours at the moment (2 whole days) perfect, can even use them for a day to go Christmas Shopping when the time is here ;o)
Darkangel wrote: "I that is what I do. Though thinking of Thorntons has just given me an idea for some free publicity courtesy of my former Employers!
I am working up to Christmas Eve this year, but I can't help it, I do love christmas. Got to have a bottle of Baileys to drink whilst wrapping up presents, plus it is my nieces' first christmas. Another one for me to spoil.I already have 8 little presents.
Darkangel wrote: "I am working up to Christmas Eve this year, but I can't help it, I do love christmas. Looks like my former employers are struggling and maybe need a helping hand in the form of an ex employee and famous novelist (lol) Sarah R weldon I offered them some complimentary publiity, followed them on Twitter and gave them a taste of heaven! Lol I also put in a request via Cassie Welch for chocolate handcuffs!
Darkangel wrote: "Fantastic and why not. What a great gimmick for the launch of GOD"Oh yes,yes yes oh yessssssssssss. sorry finger got stuck lol, right off to town taking puppy with me will work out if its a good idea later!
I'm back, that's the first of the samples of to an Agent, Curtis Brown in London no less! I have to choose three others now I have the stamps ready to send them out!
Darkangel wrote: "Woohoo, it is all systems go."yep I mean business this time I will be represented because if a second book sneaks in through the self published door in the genre of mummy porn both agents and publishers alike will have eggy faces!
Darkangel wrote: "You are not wrong there."I can't get my feet under my desk for dog! chilli con carne for lunch today Alain said he will be here early (well early for him) I never get to eat lunch before 1.30 which doesn't bother me in the slightest. I can't be doing with these folk that must eat at 12!
No actually parsnip and apple is nice, homemade is anyway! I usually make soup once a week in the winter pain in the bum chopping all the veg but so much healthier than the stuff in packets!Watercress soup is nice too but Jo's favourite is Leek and Potato she would eat four bowls of it without thinking! Cream of pumpkin is nice too! I put pumpkin puree in to thicken my soups I like to leave some of the veg pieces in but Alain prefers is smooth, not a lump in sight. Lol that way I manage to sneak veggies in he doesn't normally eat, like courgettes, and peppers and aubergines!
I like all homemade soups curried parsnip and apple, carrot, mushroom and walnut but there is one soup I keep meaning to try and that's Mussel,Salmon and Scallop and Devonshire crab bisque!
Darkangel wrote: "Don't mind any of that, but you can keep the Salmon - lol"Alain pulls a face when I mention making it, it has saffron and cream in too it looks scrumptious in the book and all the soups I have made from the book are all lovely! I may do it for the fish course at Christmas this year especially as if as we expect we are going to have snow this year it will be a welcome break from prawns, raw oysters, cockles, whelkes and crab - A it's expensive and B I only like the prawns and crab claws!
Would have to agree with you on that one. I reckon it is going to be a very cold winter this year. I too will be making lots of Chicken broth.
Trisha wrote: "Morning"Darkangel wrote: "Whoops - listening to an audio book whilst I am doing my work, naughty I know."
I just had a tweet back from Thorntons re the chocolate handcuffs!
Morning Trisha I have just nailed my washing on to the line outside with heavy duty pegs!
Trisha wrote: "Oh you r having a windy day too"Yep we were given a storm warning level 2 last night but nothing materialised. Here in Brittany we get some really bad thunder storms. 4 years ago my chimney got hit by lightning and exploded throwing huge chunks of granite over the road and into Sophie's bedroom via the roof and the ceiling missed her by a couple of feet!
Oh bum is raining again, well the washing is dark and I can't keep rinsing it again and leaving it in the machine and praying for a dry day! I started chapter 4 I'm in a playful mood so I decided to work on something light!

The puppy meows Lol what a pair! He just disgraced himself again, he'll be sick of the smell of his own pooh soon she says hopefully - He didn't fight me this time when I put his nose in it so that's a start. And he is now under my chair curled up at my feet so he is coming round to the idea that I'm top dog here!
