Sorry concentrating too hard on editing the Christmas story.
Darkangel, you wouldn't care to ask if there is a poison that is undetectable after death even in a postmortem I don't need it's name just a simple yes or no will suffice, I'll make a chemical formula up for it!
Alexandra wrote: "I think my brain has melted with boresom. I wonder if I can count ennui as a work related illness?"No, I don't think it would pass muster, it would have to be something solid or rare, so rare no one knew its symptoms!
Hmm I can look when I get in- I have a book on poisons. Most would be but many are hard to detect. I think it might depend how long after death it would be and rhe quantity. I will see if I can find anything. If you are making a formula up Sarah doesz it matter if it is real? Insulin could be- if the patient took it anyway. I am not sure of nicotine. High level in a cigarette (Columbo solved that one though.) It depends I suspect. I think there is I just can't remeber offhand what it would be. It depends on your setting too, if it is modern would be harder.
Ok I briefly did some resreach and it was brief. The easy answer is no if you dig deep enough. But it would depend on the level of the autopsy.
Succinylcholine, a drug that for the average person is difficult to obtain, is a paraylizing drug that is used in hospital operating rooms. Classified as a “skeletal muscle relaxant,” when given in high enough doses succinylcholine causes cardiac arrest in victims.
So if the person supposedly died of a heart attack and had a weak heart the coroner may well not check deeply as to the cause. I think it depends whether the coroner has cause to run every test they have.
I found this http://www.reference.com/motif/health...
So this might have more info. I would say if you need one to do that just make up a fancy name and combo and it does. Or use 2 scenarios, person is poisoned, say with a muscle relaxant and then drowns in the bath. George Joseph SMith drowned 3 wives in the bath by reporting they had fits then when they had the bath pulling up their legs so their heads went under. It looked like they had passed out and drowned.
I might just use the mere thought of what was in the bottle without giving away exactly what, just that whatever it was was lethal!Hell there are enough poisonous plants in our gardens without looking to far afield, even castor beans used in the making of castor oil are deadly if injected or inhaled and more or less deadly if ingested and it would seem alcohol increases poisons potency and my characters are drinking whisky with a spoonful of honey!
Thanks for looking it up for me, Ifound this really wacky site that instructed how to top ones-self with poisons using alcohol and a plastic bag tied over your head, for sure if you put a bag on your head you'll die of respiratory failure!
Hahaha it is amazing what you can find on the the internet. That site I found had "9 easy steps to manufacture your own poison." Or something like that.As I had sneaked on at work decided not to look too closely.
On of my main characters has a poison he calls creeping death. It makes you feel unwell like flu then you lose the ability to use your muscles as it creeps up your body. Oh and it hurts.

sounds good alexandra, is that kind of like the letha injection they use in the states for life sentences?

Yep saw that one plus a few others that made me laugh!

No I would think that's cyanide! Finally finished my edits for Emme will read it through tomorrow to make sure everything is okay and then send it back to her!
Trisha wrote: "I had to retype it all but I got it done"What a shame did you not try the recovery? Would have saved all that trouble!
Trisha wrote: "I just got my first not so great review from a book group"Thats mean just chalk today up to experience Trisha I think. If you'd asked I could have talked you through the process, it is very easy to do. Though my son was shocked I'd managed it all by myself! but then again he thinks I'm blonde!

Okay well I'm logging off now, night Trisha talk to you tomorrow, don't have cheese before bedtime and you shouldn't have the cauchemar (nightmare) in French!

Awww. Can't please everyone.
Alexandra wrote: "Well feel free to PM me for dropbox info. I think the free space is 3gb."I already use it, have done for 2 years sorry Trish I didn't think of that, if you'd had dropbox you would have had back up, and proof of copyright valid in a court of law, they can't argue with the information stored on their because each item is logged with time and date!
Morning EveryoneHaving a blonde morning again! I am so glad its Friday and I can have a lie in in the morning!Though not to late as we have Pony Club at 11.00 and Sophie wants to get there early to help learn how to saddle up Hirondelle!
Darkangel wrote: "Morning,Only got half a day today, thank goodness. Think I have had enough for this week."
Yeah me too, trouble is no one would notice if I worked to rule!
Its a funny sort of day here today I think we may have rain later, its not quite as cold as it was yesterday though.
At least I haven't got to rush around to do lunch its already made, the Normandy Pork I made yesterday a little on the late side!
I finally finished my editing for Emme and I am sending it off later when I have checked through to see if the alterations I added make sense!
I will look at my editing probably on Sunday now. I have my 2 nieces christening tomorrow. Nice busy weekend ahead. Same next week as well.Next sunday, going to another health and vitality show, closer to me but I won 2 tickets for any day I choose. it would be rude not to use them really.

Yes it would rather. Look out for some max strength Maca,to assist in the baby production, get the biggest box of the purest form you can and then both of you take it for a couple of months! And if it works I want to be godmother!
Right I read it through, do you want to have a quick read through before I send it off? It should be in your in box!
Cool, that would be good. Not got much to do this morning, except listen to a tape to check the letters.
morningIt looks like that PA job is a bit...dodgy. He wanted me to travel to the us to collect payment of insvestors twice a month and then I would keep the ten percent. Don't you think that's weird?

Yep sounds like he wants to use you as a mule, I wouldn't go there you know what happens to the people that do that kind of stuff they end up in jail charged with smuggling!
Darkangel wrote: "Yes very."You will be pleased to know I opened HOD and am working on chapter 35 in between chatting!
I fancy a nice bacon and egg sandwich, trouble is I don't have any eggs! I gave the one's Alain brought last night to Sophie's taxi driver, Sylvie. She made two dozen crepes for me, fine lacy pancakes. Mine are never that thin, they are really nice filled and fried in butter, either with fruit and chocolate as a dessert or with savoury filling for supper or a light lunch.
My antivirus system just pulled another 4 threats out of my computer! More bloody Trojans and backdoor software. This new system is really efficient and to think my son said the system he'd installed was the dogs B******'s. Funny it found nothing wrong, didn't even tell me my firewall had been breached!
Darkangel wrote: "Hmm sounds lovely.YAY HOD - I've missed you! ;o)"
Yeah I'm back in killing mode! Sebastian's beaten Antoine unconscious and is now making Charlene help him get him into the cellar. I feel a ghostly episode coming on, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned!
Darkangel wrote: "That is not good. Sounds like you caught it before it was too late though!"Yes it flashed a warning up onscreen that it had detected a possible attempt at breaching the wall! It cleaned and quarantined the four problems and I removed them from the system!
Darkangel wrote: "Excellent. Loving the christmas one as well. Nearly finished it."Oh good, because I was a bit concerned Emme had put loads of questions up, now to me the answers were there in front of me but brand names and stuff don't travel the Atlantic well it would seem!
Its raining here, I just had to dash out and retrieve the washing! It had been out all night and I figured it was probably dry. It's cold again too, I put the fire on again!
Must get the painting done next week before we start lighting the fire again!
Darkangel wrote: "Now that was good stuff, possibly left open for another novel. sort of like a prequel....."Yes, make a nice little murder mystery that. Right well I'll get it off to Emme now then. Hopefully I won't have to do anything else with it except an author bio maybe?
Darkangel wrote: "Yes author bio's and pics will be required for the website as well. Might work on mine on Sunday."Grr I hate having my picture plastered all over the web! The dog is so much more photogenic than yours truly! Woohoo, I now have 2003 followers!
Darkangel wrote: "LOL - tough luck, I'm afraid. I will be using the pic I use for here on GR."I will have to get Sophie to take a picture of me after I have my hair cut and streaked next week! Maybe get a professional photo done in Pontivy if I get an agent, I won't have much choice in the matter then.
Darkangel wrote: "This is very true. It is best to be prepared ;o)"All four begging letters and their contents are parcelled up and ready to roll on Tuesday when I go to the Post Office, I know it will cost me more than I have in cash at the moment and I will have to go and pay my rent next week anyway!
I will then have a nail biting 7 weeks (minimum waiting time, this is their busiest time of the year).
Just warming up lunch and then going for a quick shower before Alain gets here, he's alway's late on Friday's! I should go and feed the chickens too but its raining, and the lazy so and so's have stopped laying again so they can wait a bit longer!
