Yes that would be great, she isn't a prima donna I don't think I am sure that she would be happy to sign it for you, perhaps you could give her one of your books signed, one poet to another so to speak?

I'm off to shower and then to prepare lunch, request for Sausage au chou - and try and make it as low in fat as possible!

If Alain was cooking it would be declared 'unhealthy'
he adds half a pound of butter to it!

He's not allowed near the kitchen now!

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Don't think I could ever do that - LOL I would feel too embarrassed.

Why not I bet she would be touched by the gesture.

Well at least take a copy with you and if you chicken out doing it in person you could always give it to one of her entourage to give to her!

message 408: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) This is very true, didn't actually think of that. This is also providing I can get the tickets to actually go!

Get online and book it, I wouldn't imagine there would be a problem.

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Have not got the money until next week, the holiday took a lot out of us :o(

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments I know the feeling well I bet my week in England cost more than your 2 in turkey I was up for 1000 E before buying food and pressies and Alain paid for some as well and he paid for the fuel and we used his car!

I don't suppose I'll get another holiday for a while about 4 years oh well I'm near enough to the beach to go on wednesday's if I want!

message 412: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Monst wants to go back again next year. We have to start saving now I reckon.

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "Monst wants to go back again next year. We have to start saving now I reckon."

There are too many places I want to see to go back to the same place a second time, I won't be doing England again for a while, if ever, look how stressed I got!

Jo phoned her brother and casually dropped in that I wasn't well that was over a week ago, he hasn't bothered to telephone! He hasn't even answered my email I sent to say hi after we got back, where I said I was under the weather.

When he wants to come for a holiday I might be too busy! I think the thumb is well and truly over him, but you know what, he's made his bed and now he can lie in it!

message 414: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I fully understand that. Do you not get on with your new daughter-in-law?

I do want to visit other places but he likes it where we went, so we will see.

Great news, I have lost another 2lbs. I know its only little but that is 9 in 2 weeks, so I am a little bit happier. How is the book coming hun?

Well I thought I did but who knows, I certainly don't like her best friend maybe best friend won over mum. do you know what I ain't going to beat myself up over it, I am just going to get on with my life and the book I promised to send won't wing it's way over there that is for certain!

Good for you my weigh day is Friday, though as you do I keep getting on the scales I haven't gained any and I lost another 1/2 kilo so like you I should be on line for the 1kg loss at least.

The book is coming slowly, I'm not able to do much as I seem to be running here there and everywhere for everyone. I am going to open it up now and do some more while its quiet, Sophie is cleaning her room, hopefully unlike last time where the little bugger shoved it all under the bed and covered it up!

I did some yesterday, I am up to 102000 or thereabouts my three remaining girls have been accounted for I have tied up the policeman in the mine shaft now I have to link that to the deaths of Leanne and Sam at the beginning and then get back to the finale!

TTYl

message 416: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Ok hun, have fun with the mine shaft and I will speak to you later.

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Hi hun

I stayed up last night until midnight working on the book, I found another twist, tied up a load of loose ends and decided to have a last fling with the character Gavin give him a bit of interest start him on the road to depravity ready for the sequel/or his own book.

I'll send it to you when I have just tweeked it a bit and you can tell me what you think. As soon as I have finished it you can proof read it for me if you want to that is. My porridge is caling me back in a minute! LOL

message 419: by Sharon (new)

Porridge is yummy, and good for your heart lowers your cholesterol if of course you have any in the first place. I'm hoping it works on the BP too! Apparently grapefruit does and good old cranberry juice, I'll take any help I can get to stop taking the medication.

I have to take Alain's lawnmower to be mended this morning he's had all week and now he decides I can do it, and ooh while I'm out could I just pick him up a batterie for his chasse car! Stick a broom up me bum why don't ya! I feel like his personal shopper!

message 421: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Men are all the same hun.

I had a boiled egg, a great source of protein and not too bad for the weight loss. I not too keen on porridge. I used to eat it as a kid but can not seem to swallow it now.

How is the weather there? It is quite grey and cold here. Winter is most definitely on the way.

Weather here is nice today it's misty over the fields and the sun is trying to peep through, but it is a bit fresh, Autumnal weather. No toast soldiers with your boiled egg?

message 423: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) No I had a hard boiled egg with a small brown oatmeal roll, but I do love soldiers and runny egg - hmmm

Especially a freshly laid one, who has eaten only grain and potatoes and salad greens every so often like mine!

My computer has gone a bit do lally and changed all the headings, taken out all my page breaks and altered the indents, I have obviously touched something all that's left now is to find out what! Blondie strikes again!

I am going for a shower and then to Pontivy TTYL

message 425: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) OK hun, have fun and hope the blonde sorts the computer out. All that work you will have to re-do...

Nah I'm leaving the indents for now, they are set for book publishing, like those in The Thin Blue Line. Though I will have to change the headins, funny it hasn't done all of them!

The wonders of modern technology versus the dumb blonde!

message 427: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Unfortunately, technology normally wins. I just realised I have to go to training in an hour. Arghhhhh!

message 429: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Nothing great, Manual Handling mandatory training

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "Nothing great, Manual Handling mandatory training"

That depends on who or what you are manually handling!

message 431: by Sharon (new)

I always hated typing invoices Right everything is back where it should be now. what do you think of this for a name for the author of Light the Seventh Candle - Roland Hawser or Ronald Hawser? I think it may require a male pen name.

message 435: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I think Roland Hawser

message 436: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "I think Roland Hawser"

Sounds posher the other one I had was Warren Shoald.

message 437: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) There is nothing wrong with that one either.

message 438: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "There is nothing wrong with that one either."

Hmm, well I don't have to decide yet awhile plenty of time to find one that's right. I will send the chapter through in a little while I am now trying to get the indents back to normal. TTYL

message 439: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) OK, I am off to training now anyway. Speak soon.

Morning hun, how was your training did you manage to manhandle anything of interest!

message 441: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Hiya, training wasn't that bad, there was only 4 of us in there, so we just skimmed through of it, as it was only a recap, but if we do not attend we do not get our pay rise.

Then was it worth sitting through then? Did you get the chapter I sent it through last night.

message 443: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Yes I got the chapter but have not had a chance to read it yet, will print it off and read on the way home.

No it was not worth sitting through, especially as the trainer was 30 mins late!!!

Then she shouldn't be entitled to her pay rise, it should be shared out amongst the four of you! I don't think alain likes me sitting down he has me on another wild goose chase this afternoon, to fetch 2 cases of Cote de Rhone for him from Intermarche. No wonder its taking me forever to finish the book!

message 445: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) So a glass of wine as you write always works well - lol ;o)

message 446: by Sarah (new)

Yes but this wine will be spirited away to the cave guarded by the dragon, and will only see light of day on high days and holidays!

message 447: by Sharon (new)

Pumpkin soup, pancakes and creme caramel are all yummy! Next I make the frozen pumpkin mouse pie, date and pumpkin cake and pumpkin chocolate bundt cake!

We had the pancakes last night I actually managed to get one! Sophie and Alain went through them like a dose of salts, they want me to sign up for next years Master Chef!

Alain said his brother grew pumpkins last year, didn't offer us one just made soup and put it into kilner jars for the year. Wait till he finds out he could have done so much more!

First day of chasse today, up with the crack of dawn traipsing through brambles isn't my idea of fun! But at least I get peace, well almost I still have Gulli and Sophie!

Pumpkin update, brother Jean was gobsmacked he didn't know you could make other things from pumpkin! He ain't getting none of ours he didn't give us as much as a seed last year so tough tittie!

The Dragon ate her soup and pronounced it vg masterchef, and then Alain told her about the pancakes she is now waiting for the next batch of batter to try them for herself!

A question for you; if you knew a friend's husband was cheating on her what would you do? A friend of Jo's husband is and seemingly everyone knows about it but her!
