Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Are you getting notifications? I am getting none whatsoever.

Our office is going to pot here at the moment. There is a long term temp started on Monday covering the Urologist. She came in to, 2 A4 pages of queries to do before she even sat down at the desk. As soon as she gets some of them done, another load come in. The consultant is whinging that she is not good enough, and work is not getting done. Poor thing (she is not the crap temp who covered me). The thing is no one actually wants to work for him.

The little one's gone to school too? Did you cry? I remember Sophie's first day at school, she screamed the place down the teacher had to pin her down while I left the building, the mayor was not impressed!

What are you going to do now all day? or at least until you have to fetch them both for lunch each day and then wait outside school because by the time you get home it will be time to come back again!

It's great if you have stuff to do all day, I had a restaurant to run and trying to juggle that and a four yr old was interesting to say the least!

I don't work now, the daughter is 10 and school here in France started last Tuesday!

Not as far as I am aware because it's private you invite your friends (a select few) as opposed to the masses.

Morning Ladies,

I have just spent nearly an hour looking for my sat nav, even I can see the funny side of that- I needed a sat nav to find my sat nav, but you can't telephone your sat nav and listen for it ringing!

I found its empty case and then I looked in the camera bag something I had done several times and there it was! Relieved! Now to clear the mess up I made whilst looking for it!

Poor you are you lost and alone, get some writing done enjoy the peace while it lasts! School holidays are long and frequent as you well know!

Oh I'm always losing my keys, but the sat nav struck me as funny! And very Blonde! I was just off working on Growing old Disgracefully I added a bit to it I'll soon have the first chapter complete.

Eva King | 1071 comments How can you write two things at the same time? I'm waiting for feedback from Emme and Darkangel. I'm so scared!!! I've never allowed anyone to read (appart from my mum)much of my writing....did you get the same?

No, I'm immune now after the first time I sent the taster to publishers and all of them offered to publish I became a little complacent. I don't let it worry me either way, you can't please all of the people all of the time. Some people will always pick fault, my sister will be one of them no doubt, we don't speak she was mean to me when my husband died and I needed a helping hand. She put the phone down on me and I haven't spoken to her since, nor do I intend to. I bet she's green with envy at having a sister with a novel in WH Smiths and on Amazon!

It's easy to write two things at once, for a start they are totally different genres one flighty, hot and spicy the other murderously spooky!

I will be more scared of what Jo my eldest thinks of my book!

message 4315: by Eva (new)

Eva King | 1071 comments I'm shocked at what your sister did! Incrediby selfish, she is probably very jelous and angry with herself that she can't cash in on your success.
The same way I can't read 2 books at the same time, i don't think I could write 2.

We should have a government health warning slapped on our foreheads! Caution Blonde on the loose!

How about this for blonde then I have just ordered a copy of my own book from Amazon France for Jo. She sounded so down in her email this morning, her husband has dropped them in the s**t with regards to money yet again this month. I said he needs a lesson in money management and his card taking off him!

I sent it directly to her address because if I wait for Raider she'll wait forever!

Yet another campaign on Twitter is called for I think you up for it?

My husband doesn't have any cards, I keep them all!
Did you ask in your library?

I agree she must be

My sister in law is jelous because I can write when and where ever along with the fact I published my novelette. I told her that if she wants to write she has to write in every free moment she has even if it's only a few min waiting on dinner or on her lunch hour at work. She just will not do it, in my opinion she has no right to be jelous if she will not even try

You think that's bad wait until you hear what she said about my house in England! We lived on a posh part of a large housing estate, Derby County had a house just accross from us for one of it's overpaid Footballer's Indoor swimming pool gymnasium the works. Miss green with envy told my dad she'd come to legoland with Sophie's Christmas present, but she wouldn't come in and have a drink. The first time she set foot in the house was at Sophie's Christening and then I really rubbed in the fact that I had a detached house with a deck, pond, huge conservatory and 3 huge bedrooms with fitted wardrobes and two bathrooms.

Made her two bedroom semi look a bit naff!

Even if we don't have the official pool I am buying a better one for next year to tide us over!

It will be great, you won't need to bring many clothes they have great sales here in the summer at Kiabi and that way you'll have lots of room for the wine to take home with you.

You said your hubby won't read a book written by a women because we get too flowery with our description. Trust me the description I'm penning could never be called flowery, Lol perhaps we should try it out on him and Monst! What do you say Sharon do you think Monst would read mammie porn?

message 4345: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Probably not - he reads crap like Clive Cussler - sorry to any fans, but they bore me to tears - especially when the author actually put himself in the book as a character!!!!

I picked a book of his up once and put it right back down again, it's lurking somewhere in the garage in a box I'll keep it for him for next year!

There is one worse than Cussler and I mean really bad, I wanted to rewrite his first page, that's how bad it was. So memorable I can't remember his name though I think he may have been a Clive too!
