Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I wish!

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Darkangel wrote: "I wish!"

Still no luck? Did you try the Q10 or the maca?

message 3859: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) No not yet.

message 3860: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Darkangel wrote: "No not yet." Call in to the health foods shop on your way home, you want pure maca, the stronger the better. It's an adaptogen which means what your body doesn't use is expelled as waste - therefore impossible to overdose!

I ordered some with oyster extract from the german place - oysters and maca woohoo and you both need to take it. If you send for it today it should come before you go on your hols, which is a good time to start taking it you are relaxed and who knows!

message 3861: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Well there will be no action on holiday thats for sure, especially with Renee running around!

Oh dear, there must be a kids club you can enrol her in so you can get a few moments solitude!

message 3863: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I wish there was, I wish we could actually go for once without her!

Don't just wish it next holiday say no! Take her away seperately to Clacton or somewhere like that for a long weekend day break or Yarmouth lots to do at Great Yarmouth for kids! Or hold out for a hotel with kids club! Anyway next year she won't want to come to boring France though she wouldn't be in your hair, she would have Sophie to chill out with!

message 3865: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) This is very true, because it is his daughter he wants to take her!

message 3866: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments I can understand and see both POV's, been in your situation, only he had four plus our two! It is difficult, I would ask him to consider you too, and have a less expensive holiday somewhere nice at a time of the year when Renee can't go with you because it's in school term time. Tell a white lie if necessary and say someone beat you to the dates and these are the only dates available. Don't book until a couple of weeks before the date, you get some amazing bargains that way.

message 3867: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Yeah I know. I might do long weekends away as I really want to do the house up a bit next year. Prague is a must and quite possibly a region in France ;o), especially when Jo will be over then we can have that girly one ;o)

A week here will cost you your ferry fare you can invite us back sometime that way everyone gets the holiday they can afford!

I've got a blooming funny headache, I thought my Bp was up again but no! I should be doing some work on Skye for you or the book but I'm having a can't be arsed day! Tired which is probably contributing to my headache too!

message 3869: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) That is lovely thank you.

message 3870: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Darkangel wrote: "That is lovely thank you."

No problem, we'll have a whale of a time even if you end up bringing missy with you,and she'd better start brushing up her French if she's going to spend time with Sophie! Though she is starting to use her English more, I'm wearing the resistance down! The new Maca came today it has oysters and royal gelee in it too!

Lol I've told alain he can't take any until he goes back to work or he'll wear me out!

message 3871: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) LOL - so when is he rushing back to work ;o)

message 3872: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Darkangel wrote: "LOL - so when is he rushing back to work ;o)"

Not for three weeks, he's starting insulating the upstairs today, hopefully he'll be too tired tonight seeing as he didn't sleep because I want to watch the second part of Expert-New York in English and if he stays up I'll have to watch the damn thing in French!

message 3873: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) And I take it you don't want to - lol

message 3874: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments That is correct, Alain still hasn't figured out how I make a French transmitted programme come through in English!

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Morning all

It looks like we will have rain all day, it certainly fell down all night.

message 3878: by [deleted user] (new)

Good morning.

Looks similar here. I went for my walk very early this morning and the sky was magnificent. It is hot and sticky and I think the sky smells of thunder.

message 3879: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I said that yesterday (I can smell rain) and people looked at me like I was mad.

message 3880: by Eva (new)

Eva King | 1071 comments god,i wish there was a small sign of rain here, it would cool us down!

message 3881: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I will probably be wishing for rain next week. It is still quite sticky here, just a little damp.

message 3882: by Eva (new)

Eva King | 1071 comments I really want to take the kids for a picnic but I think ill have to wait until after five or they will cook.

message 3883: by [deleted user] (new)

@◘Darkangel I know that rain is smellable. We need a lot of rain here too. It has been so hot and sticky.
@ Eva. I know what you mean. I have to go out before 8 in the morning or after 8 at night is I don't want to cook.

Morning everyone, well I don't have to sniff the air here, it's already raining just like yesterday!

We could do with a good thunder storm to clear the air. This year publishers are looking for their very own 50 shades I think, they want what E L James publishers have, fame and fortune. So I think it's time to get down and dirty!

message 3887: by Eva (new)

Eva King | 1071 comments Hey Kerry Im in Barcelona.
Sarah, you are right, although 50 shades wasnt very well written. How did you gather that info anyway?

By the thanks but no thanks letter I just received for LTSC although it is extremely readable its not what they're looking for this year. Reading between the lines they are looking for steamy well written novels to try to top 50 shades! It's been a runaway sucess everyone wants in on the action, next week it will be something different - each genre has its 15 minutes of fame!

You just don't let it get to you, it's turn will come I will polish it up and wait for the right moment, and keep writing in the meantime. I think it calls for finishing the blondes and maybe spicing it up a little and following the blondes with Village People!

message 3889: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Oh thats a shame. Where will you try now?

message 3890: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Whats Village People?

message 3891: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Darkangel wrote: "Oh thats a shame. Where will you try now?"

I'm not, I'm going to finish House of Death, then the blondes, and then village people. I will go through LTSC perhaps if I change the title and go through the synopsis. It's no big deal, it will have its day eventually.

message 3892: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) At least they had the Courtesy to inform you.

message 3893: by Eva (new)

Eva King | 1071 comments I think the fashions it all depence if its something different. Thats why 50 shades was such a success, the same with twilight and the hunger games...by the time I finish my one god knows what would the fashion be. I really want to finish the first draft this year.

message 3894: by Eva (new)

Eva King | 1071 comments I really have y heart set to the kohl publishing, they are in Edinburgh and run by women on my age, it seems perfect to take care of my baby...

message 3895: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Darkangel wrote: "Whats Village People?"

That's the book based in a village in France where it's ex pat comuunity lets its hair down somewhat, hot August nights where two women old enough to know better end up cavorting naked in a hot tub! It's the cougar generation 50 something searching for a young man to relace their saggy husband - women of a certain age getting down and dirty! village people is just its working title don't forget I have my very own Mrs Robinson giving me all the smutty details plus all the gossip I get via Jo about the wife swapping, and who's bonking who down her neck of the woods!

message 3896: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Ah, this is very true, you have your own Fifty Shades of French Fancies ;o)

LOL

message 3897: by Eva (new)

Eva King | 1071 comments sorry Sarah, but village people made me think of the YMCA song, ergo a book of gay loving...

Exactly, some you win, who knows what the fashion will be next year, the buying public are fickle people always searching for something different!

When the man from Del Monte says yes it's a good feeling, but when it's a no some folk get depressed, me I just shrug the old shoulders and get down to writing what every woman wants! Excitement, sex and naughtiness fraught with danger! I already hinted at Ann Summers in the blondes with Arabella's friend who takes an 18 year old virgin to task!

message 3899: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Well that can certainly be added in to it ;o)

message 3900: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) My kind of book ;o)
