If you put heat deflectors in the oven housing, is there a reason the fridge can't be next to it?

Not a clue, how often do you use your oven? We have a big superstore B & Q on Jersey, might pay me to look on line and maybe go over with a van and Alain and his brother for the day! Order the stuff first of course, I would hate to go all that way and find they didn't have it in stock! How big is your kitchen mine is 5 1/2 metres (environ) long plus 1 corner to go around top cupboards minus the window and the island at least 3 cupboards long, I need one small cupboard to store the gas bottle in under the island and the others for pans.

LOL - yes it is for Jo. I looked in my magic box and only found the empty package (they are probably rolling around in my mums loft lol) we got her some chocolate after dinner willies too. Ended up going to Harmony in Soho.
What are you going to do with all that stuff you should sell them on ebay!!!

Re b&q - you can design your whole kitchen on line in 3d if you want. It will produce a shopping list for you which will give you the final price and also allow you to reserve and collect in store - presumably the same would apply for the Jersey store... can't see why not.
Our kitchen is about 6m x 3.75 though only about 4m of the length will actually be kitchen as there are doors and a stairwell to contend with (our house is upside down) there's also a chimney breast in the middle of the short wall.
Cabinet will be in an L shape, missing out the chimney breast. There are more cabinets on the bottom than the top because of beams and slopy roof. I've just designed mine for the 100th time and think I might have settled on what I've got. Its going to cost around £1000 with the discount. Still not too shabby. I'm going with Walnut Shaker cabinets. We're getting granite (at some point) from the marble works down the road so this doesn't include worktops.
Funny enough, I just added a cupboard for our gas bottle too!! LOL

Yes the problem with living in the sticks means bottled gas, but rather that than a halogen hob, if the powers off, which sometimes happens in winter we are an at risk area for interuption of supplies in peak periods, I would prefer to stick with gas at least I can still cook a meal or make a coffee!
I have done mine loads of times and still I can't make my mind up, and I'm crap with these computer design things I'll just take a pencil and graph paper and a ruler I think. I need to leave at least 2 blanks not quite sure where I'm putting the Tumble dryer yet! Maybe in the upstairs bathroom. I would like granite tops eventually too!

Sharon proof reads for me, she read it last year before it was signed of to be printed.
I am beginning to feel this is real today, I have been pinching myself to make sure I'm not dreaming. I am a published author! Woohoo! Thinking twice about the cartwheels, not adviseable at my age!
