Yep it's a toss up which of us is further away! He's just left still whinging because the information he was given about connecting the electricity was false. Like, hello, that must be my fault?

So I went online and did a comparison of suppliers of electricity and came up with the same supplier I use, Direct Engergy works out almost 50Euros cheaper a year! Whoohoo a whole 1 Euros per week! I gave him the telephone number and told him to speak to them!

I got my buttermilk too so now I can make KFC at home, I'm not a particular fan but hell it will make a change from roast chicken on odd occasions!

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I love KFC chicken. Me and Monst had that last Friday for dinner - I was not in the mood to cook - lol

If you scroll back through you should find the recipe for home made KFC, all you need to do is marinade the chicken in buttermilk and mix the dry ingredients together and then coat and cook. Simple!

Don't I know it! Chris and his wife are going to Normandy with his half sister and her toy boy and kids and his dad and his partner! Lol he asked if we were going down too! I said thanks but no thanks, I spent enough miserable holidays with my ex and I don't need to relive the experience! Chris says he's changed, got older that's for sure 74 this October, (my grave robbing stage)!

You can imagine how he must have felt when he found I'd gone in the opposite direction and got myself a toy boy!

A bit of what you fancy does you good! Alain apologised for his behaviour last night, guess he realised how thin the ice he was skating on actually was!

Or maybe a wide mouth frog called Sophie told him!

She will stop at nothing to get what she wants, which is a new dad with all the paperwork that goes with it.

Not sure, not tried it yet I was rescuing Shazzyloulou from the doghouse with her hubby! Their local KFC closed down and she didn't realise and promised Simon KFC in exchange for kitchen shopping!

Can't let a fellow Brit take the flak like that not when you are in possession of a recipe to rival KFC!

Wow, now that's what I call a useful Christmas present, lol though rather you than me with a classroom full of kids!

Buttermilk in French is lait ribault, or lait fermente if that helps, I know sometimes the words are very similar in Spanish!

did you get caught up with the Olympic traffic?

message 3585: by Eva (new)

Eva King | 1071 comments My mum has always given useful things, no slippers or pyjamas unless they are needed.
I am a nursery nurse so the room full of kids doesn't bother me. Is just that to work here i would need to convalidate my studies, which is a hassle. I kind of wish i could go bac to uni to I could be a propper english teacher but that we'll have to wait until my kids are older and I rich so i can pay for the open university.
Ps: leche fermentada, thanks

That's okay I thought it might be similar, they say once you master French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese follow quite easily. We'll see, next year Sophie will be starting Spanish and I am going to learn with her!

How old are your children?

Yes, Jo and Chris were a bit like that, he was always very protective of her even though they fought! Mostly because Jo would mess his room up and he hated that!

Morning
How was your birthday? Did the birthday bunny bring you lots of nice pressies?

I had a present, someone gave me a cold! This was nice of them as it's gone to my sinuses and I feel like someone smacked me in the face!

message 3600: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Oh no, that is not good, but yes I did have a lovely birthday. I got money, flowers, chocolates, handmade note books, etc. Thankfully the rain held off too and it was quite lovely down the coast.
