Hi hun,
Poor you, never mind the olympics should soon be underway and you might be trapped at home due to lack of transport!
We are off to the chinese for lunch today with all the kids! Hugo is taking his lunch with him!
I am dreading the olympics - they have Archery right next to me at Lords Cricket Ground. They seriously have not thought about the people that live and work in London.
Darkangel wrote: "Nope, you will just lose him in the garden instead ;o)"Yep seeing as how its half an acre that is highly likely, but at least it will be fenced off! He is a hunting dog, a Teckel good for hunting rabbits, which is what he was doing when he ran across the road, following one of the pesky critters!
Darkangel wrote: "I am dreading the olympics - they have Archery right next to me at Lords Cricket Ground. They only think that the extra amount of tourists will put money back in to our country and get everyone out of trouble - highly unlikely!
Darkangel wrote: "They only think that the extra amount of tourists will put money back in to our country and get everyone out of trouble - highly unlikely!"We have sunshine here today, mind where we went yesterday and Monday we had sunshine, but when we got back yesterday afternoon Alain said it had rained non stop from 4.00 until 7.00! We didn't see a drop!
Right peg washing out and then make our way to the Chinese in about half an hour and then nozzing this afternoon!
Well the sun is out at the moment BUT it is poring down at the same time. I am going to look for rainbows in a bit ;o)
Morning everyone! Sorry I missed you all yesterday. Sarah - fantastic news about the book, you must be sooooooooo excited!Weather here is still absolutely roasting and everyone is hot bothered and grumpy! Even the dogs are being suspiciously quiet and the cat has done a disappearing act.
*turns fan up as high as it will go*
ShazzyLouLou wrote: "LOL!!! :-)"Well it is p*****g it down here today, we have been to Vannes and the Aquarium today, not a patch on Sea Life Centres and bloody expensive!
Oh well the kids were happy, that's the main thing. We thought about going on the boat over to Belle Isle but with the weather being crap so we said we'll go over for the day in August when Jo comes over with Herve and Alain is on holiday too!
Sorry Shazzy no size 42's yesterday in Noz but I will keep looking I promise.
I am excited about finally having my book, it will get Alain off my back, and if I actually manage to sell some even better!
Morning How are you both? Jo and the kids are on their way back to Normandy my house looks like a bombs hit it and I'm knackered!
They'll be back again for a few days in August for Alain's birthday so I've got four weeks to recover!
Morning, I am knackered too. Just did a circuit training session here at work, I will not be able to walk tomorrow. When is Alain's birthday, it sounds awfully close to mine (also in 4 weeks) ;o)
Me too!!! We went for a chinese last night at a new restaurant in town. It was YUMMY! We didn't get back till late and then thought it was a good idea to watch a movie. This Means War, pure escapism with a bit of action, hot men and some real laugh out loud moments. Sadly it meant we were still awake at 3am. DOH!Sarah - thanks for looking! I struggle over here too, maybe continental woman don't have big feet? Or maybe they do and just wear mens shoes! I don't know! :-)
PS Angel - circuit training? ARE YOU MAD????
Oh. also talking about the film we watched, what do we think about british actor Tom Hardy?I'm liking the slight crookedness of his looks.... may write a character based on him - how yummy! (not sure why he looks like a teapot in this picture!)

He's okay I suppose, I never base characters on a real person, they are always imaginary. I have a mental picture of what I expect them to look like though!
Darkangel wrote: "Mine is the 4th"Putting that in my diary as we speak, are you getting notifications of messages?
No nothing is coming up. Poxy system.I go to Turkey the day after Alain's birthday. Think I need it now, even if it is to get away from all this rain.
Sarah R wrote: "I have a mental picture of what I expect them to look like though! "That's what I mean!
And 45's?? Blimey. I thought I had big feet!! :-)
Darkangel wrote: "No nothing is coming up. Poxy system."Yep, how are we supposed to chat if we don't know anyone's in the house?
Jo's gone off clutching all three 50 shades books, first impressions, childish writing with adult content! Funny that, famous critics said same thing!
Just read an article about it, and I didn't even realise - Doh! Written in first person through out the books, yet when she is blindfolded, she still explains everything in detail - how?
ShazzyLouLou wrote: "Sarah R wrote: "I have a mental picture of what I expect them to look like though! "That's what I mean!

Oops blonde moment on my part, put it down to having been buried under monkeys all week! Hugo went home with a blue fluffy stegosaurus, a weeble car and a book. Leon a dinosaurs egg you put in water and it hatches a baby dinosaur, books and dinosaur figures!
No 42 isn't that big I take a 40!
Darkangel wrote: "No nothing is coming up. Poxy system.I go to Turkey the day after Alain's birthday. Think I need it now, even if it is to get away from all this rain."
Yep it looks like it's going to do it again here too! Lol Bastille day tomorrow and I aint going to stand out in the rain watching a fireworks display!
Darkangel wrote: "Just read an article about it, and I didn't even realise - Doh! Written in first person through out the books, yet when she is blindfolded, she still explains everything in detail - how?"Psychic? She obviously didn't think of that when writing in first person!
Well it is dry here at the moment, but it wont be too long, looking very overcast. I got soaked through last 2 nights on the trot and that was getting out of a cab and going to my front door.
Darkangel wrote: "Well it is dry here at the moment, but it wont be too long, looking very overcast. It's dry here too for now, but the rain isn't far away, we are 'promised' nice weather for tomorrow,I'll believe it when I see it!
Sarah R wrote: "Darkangel wrote: "Well it is dry here at the moment, but it wont be too long, looking very overcast. I've just taken my washing in from yesterday - Simon actually managed to put some out but didn't tell me. It's so hot here everything has dried to a crisp and is all stiff. Back in the machine it goes!
ShazzyLouLou wrote: "Sarah R wrote: "Darkangel wrote: "Well it is dry here at the moment, but it wont be too long, looking very overcast. Mind he does my garden and that's more important, fresh veggies, new potatoes, salad stuff, tomatoes courgettes etc..
Lol mine goes back in to spin it again so I can put it in the dryer!
Just sent off first three chapters and synopsis of Light the Seventh Candle to new publishers, Sapphire Star! Fingers crossed they ask for the complete manuscript!
Darkangel wrote: "My fingers and toes are crossed."Mine too, must fetch chicken legs from freezer and bung them in the oven, Paella for lunch!
Darkangel wrote: "I love paella. I think I will grab a chicken salad sandwich (minus the cucumber) ;o)"ShazzyLouLou wrote: "keeping everything crossed for you!!"
Thank you both I bet you get sick of eating Paella don't you? I make the French version which has mussels, prawns chorizo and chicken legs cooked in the oven and then put in at the last minute. Should have calamari to except I don't like eating india rubber! Lol because I am running behind schedule Alain was early!
All week his dinner has been on the table waiting for him, in a thermos dish, he's had Chilli con carne Spag bol and yesterday my chicken roulades and potatoes and veg!
Well so much for our better weather it's raining again, I swear it waited until I pegged my towels on the line they will be very wet by now I shouldn't wonder!Have a good weekend!
A tous bonne fete National 14 Juillet and for the English today here in France is our National fete, we English call it Bastille Day! Whispers the suns out shush it has chucked it down all morning and one weather forecast says it's set to do much of the same all day and the other says it's going to be fine! Will someone please make up their minds for them?
Darkangel wrote: "They can't make up their minds in England either.Morning all,
How was everyone's weekend?"
Morning weekend was fine, wet but good should I say, it rained all Saturday morning and then dried up, by that time it was too late to go to the picnic at the lake. If of course they hadn't abandoned it and gone home by then. It was cold too blooming July!
We did manage a barbecue in the garage, I have an electric griddle that was a gift with my supermarket points it's called La Plancha and it's brilliant you get barbecued food inside which considering the weather is neat!
I sent the first three chapters of LTSC to Sapphire on Friday and I have received a reply, all I have to do now is wait and see if they want the rest, fingers crossed. Meantime I am going through and checking for errors and changing bits, general tweaking!
I finished chapter 25 too, interested?
Darkangel wrote: "That's a silly question ;-)"Yep, it should be with you now, lunchtime reading I finished it last night. How's you the Olympic invasion started yet?
No, we still have just over a week, before we are bomb-barded. I assume the athletes will be arriving sometime this week.Love the chapter as per usual. ;o)
Darkangel wrote: "No, we still have just over a week, before we are bomb-barded. I assume the athletes will be arriving sometime this week.Love the chapter as per usual. ;o)"
Lol I didn't think for one minute you'd wait until lunchtime! Couscous today, no choice no spuds! Alain treated the potatoes here and at mothers to protect them from the mildew!
So we have to wait a few days until lifting them, we ate the ones he dug up last week! Not much moving in the garden, all this rain and no sunshine! Though we have sun today with clouds though and the cool breeze so temperatures are in the mid teens!
