Just read it and I have to say - that re-write works wonders. I will stop reading the original as you seem to be re-writing it and I will wait for the updated version. Good job hun. :o)
Phew! Thank you darling. I'm much happier with this version. I think it's much cleaner and makes a lot more sense now. I think it helped cutting the length too. The next chapter will now start with the scene at HQ which makes better sense I reckon. It was far too long originally.
I am glad you are happy with it, think that is the main concern. If you are not happy, it will never read right. If you need a proof reader when all is finished I will be happy to oblige (like I do for Sarah). Plus it means I get to read the book before everybody else - hee hee

Darkangel wrote: "Why thank you :D"Hi, I'm back, I got soaked through loading my shopping into the car. On the way back from the village bank I stopped off at the new house, fairies have been and installed all but three of the windows! Including the patio doors, it looks lovely when all the windows are in I will take a photo or two because the house won't fit on one photo!
Jo is coming tomorrow late agternoon or Sunday morning, Sophie is really excited at seeing her sister and her nephews! I have yet another surprise up my sleeve for Jo, Sophie and maybe Leon- horse riding for an afternoon.

That depends how impatient she gets to find out what happens next!
I don't know what you mean! ;o) hee heeWell I am a fast reader and I do normally have 3 on the go at once hee hee

My huge fridge is now groaning at the seams, ready for the onslaught arriving, I bought chocolate covered donuts, mini pain au choc, croissants and pain au raisins for the littlies, sweets for Leon, water pistols and a paddling pool for the beach!
For us adults I bought gin and tonic, I only have it when Jo comes! Lol cos he knew Jo was coming Alain bought 3 cases of Rose! They don't call her Joanne Rose Champin for nothing!
Well with all that, sounds like you have room for one more ;o) But you can keep your Gin and Tonic I will share the rose.
Darkangel wrote: "Well with all that, sounds like you have room for one more ;o) But you can keep your Gin and Tonic I will share the rose."The more the merrier, Alain will be in his element surrounded by women!
He gets on really well with Jo, she reduced him to tears last year when she said to Leon give Pappy a big kiss! It meant nearly as much as Sophie calling him pappa the first time!
Darkangel wrote: "Oh that is so sweet."Yep, for Alain Leon is interesting now, because he does things, Hugo is still a scary object that cry's, poops, and chucks up! But he's ever so cute Jo say's that's his saving grace when for the fourth night running he's woken her up at 3.00 wanting people to play with him!
Darkangel wrote: "Oh dear, looks like nany will be busy next week."Well I'm up at 3.15 but Jo and the children are sleeping in the caravan, like a proper holiday!
Darkangel wrote: "I bet you would still be able to hear him."I will probably, yes. Lol I can always take another passifora, I won't hear a blooming thing then not even the sound of me snoring heavily!
Have a nice weekend I will try to say hi during the week, I will have to log on to delete the hundreds of crap messages on outlook! Jo can play too!
Darkangel wrote: "Ola, How are you today? I wish I could have stayed in bed."
Bonjour toute les deux guess what? Yep its spotting with rain, we were going to the Prehistoric park today but I checked the weather and tomorrow is set to be better in that area. so today is a beach day! No I haven't lost me marbles the weather this afternoon in that area is sunny and even if it isn't the kids will be happy playing in the sand and searching for shells!
Vannes and the aquarium on Wednesday because the weather is set to be yuk, if by any chance it isn't we will maybe take a boat trip around the gulf of Morbihan.
Have fun, don't work too hard!
Darkangel wrote: "Oh have fun, I certainly do not intend to do too much work. I am just pretending to look busy."Ha ha me too! Unfortunately for me, the only way to look busy is to actually be busy. :-( I may work from home, but I know Big Brother is watching me.
Wrote chapter 4 last night, but I'm not sure whether I like it. I think it lacks some emotion so I think I'm going to have to re write it. Not sure. I was still typing at 1am, so maybe I was just tired.
Sarah, the beach is always fun, even if it's raining.
x
Darkangel wrote: "Oh have fun, I certainly do not intend to do too much work. I am just pretending to look busy."Hiya, boy oh boy am I a happy bunny this morning and I thank god when I left school I went to work for a Solicitor and not an Estate Agent! And thank you to my boss Graham Chambers for telling me to fill in the necessary bits because 'you know how it goes'!
You will have by now the message regarding the TBL, funny we were only talking about it whilst sat on the beach yesterday afternoon! This morning I jokingly said I'll switch on and see if Adam had capitulated and there it was!
Darkangel wrote: "I am doing the happy dance too. Woohoo!"I know you two are speaking English but I have no idea what you're talking about! :-s
The publishers have finally agreed to print Sarah's Book The Thin Blue Line. it is going to print today!
Darkangel wrote: "The publishers have finally agreed to print Sarah's Book The Thin Blue Line. it is going to print today!"AAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH! That's amazing! Well done!
For me, the PC Crash is usually caused by "The Pepsi-Syndrome"...that's when I have a large drink, coke or pepsi and my hip hit's the desk while doing the Happy Dance... it's rarely pretty.
Curmudgeon wrote: "For me, the PC Crash is usually caused by "The Pepsi-Syndrome"...that's when I have a large drink, coke or pepsi and my hip hit's the desk while doing the Happy Dance... it's rarely pretty."LOL! That's why I don't allow open drinks containers anywhere near my workstation. 1) I am the clumsiest person I know. 2) I own the clumsiest cat in the world and she is always prowling around the desk in search of somewhere to sleep. She inevitably mows down everything in her path.
Darkangell wrote: "OH dear - was you doing the happy dance on the PC?"
Well not ON it exactly - near it. I think I may have kicked the power cable. DOH!
Hi Dark Angel. And it's only rumor that I have a bumper sticker that reads, "Honk if your Grumpy!" Shazzy- I have a clumsy cat too. She has 3 legs and she's 17 people years old, but she did managed to slosh a cup of coffee into my Kindle DX and take it out.
I have 2 cats, and if I am writing like I was last night, they come along and sit on my work so I have to stop what I am doing!

God I think I might murder my cat if she went anywhere near my beloved Kindle!
Maggie still has all her legs, but she just doesn't seem to car where she put them. She's currently lounging on top of the printer. I have a dog under the desk and another one by the side of me trying to keep cool - which means he's blocking the fan from getting to me. The other dog is very grumpy so's she's off in a room by herself somewhere... doubt doubt the bedroom where she is merrily moulting all over our bed.
My cat thinks my lap is her bed. I caught her hissing at my Laptop when she thought I wasn't looking. A little jealosy there?
Darkangel wrote: "LOL oh dear, that is a classic."I love it Hi Hugh nice to see others joining us, I will be online with jo in the morning , tonight we are celebrating and we have had a really nice day again, dinosaur park for the children and restaurant for lunch for the adults, and tomorrow lunch in the Chinese! Happy people my book is being printed as I type ye ha!
My dog is either the luckiest dog in the world or the stupidist (probably not a word) he ran across the road and under a speeding car and lived to tell the tale! Perhaps I should have called him LUCKY!

I've just posted the 1st edit of chapter 1.
I've shortened it from what it was, Sarah was right, it was pretty long. I've also chopped and changed things around a bit. Hoping it makes more sense now.
