Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Not yet, but i have finished my work already here, so it will make me look busy ;o) going to start reading in about 10 mins - naughty I know but I don't care.

Buenos Dios Amigo,

Don't get excited my Spanish is limited, I understand written Spanish and can translate but never having taken it as a language I have difficulty in speaking it. Sophie will be learning Spanish in year 6 so I will learn with her they say once you master French Spanish, Italian and Portuguese come relatively easily.

Glad the advice about printing it off worked, it works for me, seeing it in black and white in reading format enablesyou to get an idea of what other people will see when its finished.

The other reviewer obviously didn't do the genre, so shouldn't have taken on the reviewing. It looks like it's about to rain again! Last day of school term for Sophie then two whole months of torture for me! I'm going to block the Gulli channel on the television or I'll end up mental!

I'm torn between my original description of George Clooney for Antoine and Mr Bean, Sean not the stupid one! Though both have the same appeal, I found a very sinister looking photo of George Clooney with a beard - likewise Sean Bean yesterday and now I'm thinking mmm.. Troy or Bastian/Sebastian for George Clooney! You won't get Troy in the 6 chapters he gets a mention to get a handle on Troy you would have to join Sharon and Irene in reading the lot!

Yep helps if you perspire a little, eat a red hot chilli pepper or something like that!

message 2958: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) This is very true, I might try that this afternoon. I need to break my day up a bit ;o)

message 2959: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Now Sarah - you know I can't eat things like chillis, but it is humid in our little shed so don't think I will need the chilli, it will probably happen naturally!!

Would you prefer I use the stupid one instead? If you saw that George Clooney pic with beard he looks positively evil-I'm thinking Bastian could be well played by this George Clooney plus I mention him having a beard and the age is perfect, these are all 50 something men, Troy, Antoine and Bastian and Charlene is a well preserved 45ish.

Matt, the oldest son will be more your bag I think, 22 bod like the Calvin Klein ad! Or Antonio in his mid 30's! Italian Stallion!

Are you sensitive to Chillies too? Bummer, mmm Chilli con carne that's lunch sorted then!

message 2963: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Monst eats them, but I am just too much of a wimp. I make an extremely mild chilli con carne (with minced pork)

message 2964: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Lipman (sharonlipmanauthor) | 272 comments Oh look - we're talking about food again! :-)

Chili is a regular occurrence in our house. Simon likes them so hot his mouth is on fire. I'm not quite that brave, but do like a hot one. I make one suitable for
"normals" and then let Simon pour Tabasco all over his. Yuk!

We're having tortellini with chorizo and a spicy tomato sauce for tea. Lunch is probably "if-its," as my Mum would say - "if we've got it, you can have it."

message 2965: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I will settle for my ryvita for lunch again and probably meat and salad for evening meal.

message 2966: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Lipman (sharonlipmanauthor) | 272 comments I'm like Sarah - I only like ryvita when its got butter-as-thick-as-cheese on it! Good job we can't often get them over here either!

Noo that is so wrong philly should be plain and unadulterated unless its being dolloped into a prawn and butternut squash rissotto!

Sorry I disappeared there, doesn't look as if I will make Pontivy this morning, I'm just sorting out a brawl in Giovanni's or rather Carly and Charlene are!

Pen ultimate point in chapter 24, lots of testosterone flying about scary stuff!

Oh my god, first lets castrate the judge and then deal with the boy, if his family has an ounce of decency they should have him committed he will re-offend only next time the child might not live to tell the tale!

Jesus that's awful! Surely every criminal could blame his actions on his surroundings, on society in general? Then where would we be? Regardless of the "reasons" he still did something terrible.

I feel a bit better now since I LOVED that series. I'm hoping I can get my score down a bit once I've edited it. If I'm on a par or better than her then I'll be happy. :-)

There you go, what does that freak who gave you the bad review know after all - Nada, zilch, niet. Maybe someone should tell him about the Flesch Kincaid test, he might find his writing's totally crap and give us all a laugh!

I just got some good news, lol at least I think it's good news, my daughter and the children are coming up at the weekend for the week. Sophie will be over the moon! She misses her big sister, we are going to take them to the dinosaur park for the day, Alain won two childrens tickets at Sophie's Kermesse so that's one day taken care of, picnic ice creams splurge in the gift shop for the boy's. Leon's 4 the baby won't understand much but he won't care he'll be getting ots of attention from grandma!

Off to Pontivy to buy a paddling pool well you have to live in hope! Which also means I will be nozzing next week so fingers crossed for shoes!

Awww! That sounds brilliant. I think we're done with our string of visitor now. The summer is too hot for most of our relatives to deal with so they tend to come late spring instead. I have to say, whilst it's always nice to see people, it's also LOVELY when they bugger off again and we get our house back! Bad isn't it?

Now that we've moved into this rabbit hutch of a house, we don't have room for visitors so I'm hoping this will disuade them. We do have a house across the road we can bung them all in though, so maybe it won't be so bad as it is when everyone is invading my space...

Did I mention I can be an anti-social cow when I want to be? Mwah ha ha.

Yep by next Friday I'll be glad to get my house back I know, I always am, but I haven't seen them since Christmas. Hopefully the weather will be nice and we can go to the beach too, picnic, good book, flask of hot chocolate to thaw the kids out when they come out of the sea! Gallon of water to wash the sand off the buggers before we get into the car!

I'll see if I can find a river boat trip too, they'll love that, Jo shouldn't get sea sick on the Nantes Brest canal!

I am preping LTSC for a new publishers in Gloucester, Sapphire publications, and if they accept it they can have HOD too when it's done!

I want my own pool in our back garden housed in a huge conservatory with solar panels to heat the pool so we can use it all year round! Yes, even in summer!

Right I m now going to put some money in the post for Jo, for petrol and then go and buy a paddling pool for the twinkies next week! and some random cars and toys to play with on the beach!

Talk to you both tomorrow!

I have just been sale shopping, material to re-upholster my settee and easy chair. I got a real bargain, half price but it still cost me 100 Euros though when you consider the cost of a new suite its a snip. The colours are perfect too beige, red, and navy It works well with the colour scheme I have in mind- I am a happy bunny, Now all I have to do is strip the old covers off and take it down to foam and frame and rebuild it! Dog is going nowhere near it when I've done it, he will have his own newly covered chair in the kitchen.

Well Hamilton at least should do well in the wet. I have no idea what's going on with Button this year. He can't seem to be able to get a handle on that car of his at all. Finger crossed.

Sarah, I'm a bit jealous of your reupholstering endeavours. I love doing things like that, but I never seem to have the time, or the money.

Oh also, good news. I got 2 more reviews from reviewfuse. One gave it 10/10 and said she absolutely loved it, the other gave it 6/10 and gave some line by line criticism which has been really handy. I'm already working on the rewrites!

Absolutely knackered today - found myself engrossed in Forest Gump last night and it didn't start till around 11. Still TTF it's Friday!

:-)

message 2994: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I know, Button is costing me money at the moment, I just have to keep my faith in him (fingers crossed).

So glad it is Friday, Think I have had enough of this work. It is only 09.10 and I already want to go hom and have a duvet day in front of the fire with a film surrounded by my cats.

That is good news about the reviews.

message 2995: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Lipman (sharonlipmanauthor) | 272 comments yes, the review thing is good, though I'm inclined to ignore the 10/10 one since clearly it's no where near that score, but it was nice to have anyway.

message 2996: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) At least now you are getting positive feedback and constructive.

message 2997: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Morning ladies

The sun is shining here today, but there are clouds lurking in the background Alain cut the grass yesterday because he was expecting rain today.

Yay we have windows! Well 3 of them the big patio doors arrive today and the large back window too! We have a door, lol you can still walk in through the invisible pation doors though so no point in locking it but I bet a pound to a penny Alain has!

Bank and then shopping! Hey Shazzy Lou I have been planing this re-upholstering for two years, this is the first time I have the money to splurge out the 100 euros for the material! I think I realised last year that if I scrimp a little I can splurge on stuff for the new house, you should see my freezer stuffed both of them and my cupboard has all the staples any self respecting cook would hope to find 3 fold.

My mother's fault she lived through the war years and shortages it's rubbed off on me and Jo too!

Great news about the reviews!

message 2998: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Can someone please tell me, what is the sun? :o(

message 2999: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Lipman (sharonlipmanauthor) | 272 comments Lol

Sun is spawn on the devil. It is the hottest thing you can imagine and then some. It provides light during the day and helps things grow, but given it's temperamental behaviour it is VASTLY over rated.

message 3000: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Ah right, maybe that is possibly why we never seem to see it ;o)
