I thought so, have you had any strange twitter messages that when you try to open them you get a bright red screen with warnings not to open I've had two this morning. The last one I replied with a tweet to the person informing them that phishing was illegal!

Luckily for me I have about as much protection on my computer as is unhumanly possible, and when something tells me don't open this I send it straight to the dustbin.

If I get any more I am going to report them!

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) You should report them anyway. Who is doing it

Lol I should have written their names down before I deleted them, I thought it was safer to delete them in case Sophie saw them and not reading English opened one of them!

Slowly, hence the reading through to give me a little push. Just talking to Jo Hugo's better Leon too though he put himself to bed at 6 last night! His temperature is still pretty high but he doesn't have the blisters. He is okay for school on Monday its the last week, Jo has a new job, she's not sure when she's starting as a home help, she has someone to look after the chldren for her so they should start getting straight moneywise soon.

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) That is good news all round.

Well it is back to normal books for me this weekend and maybe a little studying ;o)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments I deleted the two followers with the dangerous emails Jo says perhaps they've been hacked, I prefer to delete them for now and I forwarded the offending emails to Twitter like you said let them deal with it.

on a lighter note Sophie scraped through into the next year but she knows its nose to the grindstone next year!

Ice cream time!

Lol I have one book on the table and Lillian's List on the computer, I normally have one on the go at a time.

I'm being gullied but seeing as she passed her end of term exams and is going into CM2, last year of primary school coming up for Sophie.

message 2813: by Sharon (new)

Mmm she almost didn't make it, just above skin of the teeth job, she really has to start applying the brain she was given.

She's just like her big brother, he flunked most of his exams and still manages to get the job he wanted!
But times are harder now, Sophie wants to go into IT too, she loves computer studies.

I don't know what's up with the notifications I'm not getting mine all the time.

Have a good weekend talk to you Monday!

Morning, I worked on 23 over the weekend and am about halfway through chapter 24!! Wonders will never cease, I am under no illusionsion that I will finish it before the school holidaysI'd like to think it could be finished for sending out to prospective Agents and Publishers at the beginning of October when they start their hunt for new works for the following year.

It will come back, just do something else, start something new, perhaps you are blocked because you are lacking inspiration?

Trawl the local papers look for anything that catches your eye - try a change of genre? What have you got to lose?

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) This is very true, I will give it a go. You are right, I never know.

Sharon Lipman (sharonlipmanauthor) | 272 comments Morning Ladies!

No rain here unfortunately and we've been suffering with winds from the Sahara (literally) which has been the equivolent of someone holding a hairdryer in your face. Really really unpleasant. A 42 degree day felt more like a 142 degree day. It seems to have changed direction now though so at least the breeze is cooling rather than blistering.

I wrote chapter 3 and made a start on chapter 4 over the last week since we had no internet or phone and there were no distractions! Sadly not even work since I couldn't connect to the office - now I have to make that time back up which is a bit rubbish!

Ho hum! How are you 2?

Fine, apart from the diabolical weather today, my daughter passed her end of term assessments and will move up to CM2 last year of primary school, last year of innocence. Hey that's not a bad title, there you go Sharon I'll gift you that one - a romantic comedy YA which means no sex just fumbling behind the bikesheds!

Oh those were the days! Lol blooming long while ago I can just about remember, first kiss, first grope! Sharon A has writers block!

Last Year of Innocence is your title romantic comedy Genre YA.

Make it a looking back on innocence, maybe an old lady looking back on what might have been?

Sharon what are you writing? or not as the case might be? Mondays are always rubbish. Whoever thought that a 5 day week and a 2 day weekend was a good idea needs their head examined. If its any consolation, I'm at work with the prospect of overtime ahead to make up for my lack of wizzy internet last week :-( Bummer!

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Well that certainly made me smile. How did you know that Johnny Depp was one of my favs ;o) ?

I am writing poetry, short stories and still trying to finish my first novel. I know what I want to say but it does not come out right on paper.

Sharon Lipman (sharonlipmanauthor) | 272 comments Who doesn't like Johnny Depp?????

Does it help to just write? You know, like a stream of consciousness type thing? You can always edit it or throw it away, but I find sometimes it just helps to write something, anything and the ideas will start flowing again???

Now that's my type of alternative if only we had such animals here in the back of beyond! Our nearest bar is just over 2km our local English bar closed down 2 years ago and was supposed to be re opening but never did. Sad because the English bar was where I met Alain!

I am being dive bombed by a blood hungry house fly, the little buggers bite too, the female, now where did I put the fly swatter!

Back to what I am writing, well I am halfway through a novel paranormal romance/suspense called the House of Death mid chapter 24 coming over the hill and hurtling towards my grand finale, I have 50k words well I did at last count, mind I have been editing so who knows!

LOL! We're in a remote village, but thankfully everyone seems to love their morning brandy (!) and tapas so we have 5 bars to choose from year round and the pool bar at the municiple pool has also just opened so that makes 6. They all serve food though only one is what i would class as a restaurant. I could walk to all of them, but I am the laziest person I know so I normally hop in the car or take the quad. The quad is new and is technically the hubby's and it scares the crap out of me, but needs must and all that! I have to say though that the novelty of driving 30 minutes minimum to the nearest supermarket wore off pretty quickly! Shame you're not closer, I know an excellent riding school down here!!

Lol I could rent you the daughter if you like I'm sure she'd love a holiday in Spain!

On the supermarkets I am only 10 minutes drive to 3 hypermarkets and all manor of shops. My favourite being Noz, you can buy a donkey in Noz if the owner went into liquidation!

I get some amazing bargains all the wIi wands and stuff fishing poles, steering wheels etc 3 Euros or a set of 4 for 7Euros last year they had wrap around trousers for 2.50 Sharon took advantage of that offer I sent them in the post. I got a pair of leather shoes for 8 Euros and ski stuff for Sophie for under 10 euros. I love my Nozzing, skip diving whatever you call it!

message 2836: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I do love a bargin.

I would so love to go to the pub, only not sure work would approve, but I do have some beverages chilling in the fridge for when I get home :o)

There is always wine chilling in one of our fridges! Beer too if Alain remembers to put it in, cider rarely that's mine for cooking with!

Talking of bargains I haven't been in Noz for a couple of weeks must go in this week and see what's up for grabs to put in my squirrel box for Christmas, need to go and look at kitchens too with his nibs, my kitchen I'm paying but we both have to live with my choice!

Doors too, I pledged 3 doors for last Christmas and this birthday for Alain. Mother can buy him the other three at 80 euros + a door, hardwood my choice I'm paying and they have to go with the handles I bought last year in Noz!

message 2838: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Now I am being naughty. I am meant to be working but I am reading a heavy metal magazine.

message 2839: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Lipman (sharonlipmanauthor) | 272 comments 80€ for a hardwood door sounds like a bargain! Any type of wood down here is as rare a rocking horse poop and even more expensive. I'm not looking forward to fitting doors at the cortijo, I may have to take out a second mortgage! Still, there are bigger things to worry about at the mo, you know, like walls and stuff ;-)

Noz sounds like a brilliant place. I have a problem getting clothes or shoes to fit me. I'm taller than the average spanish lady, though if my village is anything to go by, thankfully not wider. The problem is that all large spanish women seem to wear something akin to a dinner lady's outfit. Not a good look when you're in your 30's. Plus I'm a size 8 shoe and ladies shoes only go up to 7 here. Perhaps I should have thought about this before I moved......

Lol Alain winced and said maybe I should pick something cheaper, I said if I was paying we were having real wood, okay! Perhaps you should do a run from Spain across the border to the nearest Leroy Merlin in France. The handles only cost me 3 Euros a pair from Noz-twisted pewter coloured metal, very classy, price in Castorama 21 euros!

We have windows coming this week and the front door which means we can get down to insulating the walls after Jose renders the outside in August. Then the plastering, plumbing, electricity, the fosse, tiling, walls my department, floors anyone who fancies the job my knees won't take any more grovelling!

What size is an 8 in metric- I'll happily keep an eye out for you in Noz you'll have to give me some idea of your taste in footwear and Dorothy Perkins delivers to France, M and S too!

We have had some lovely skirts which came from Spain, I bought one for Sophie beautifully embroidered a bit long on her but she'll grow into it!

Tut tut Ms Atkinson, you could be writing the synopsis for Last year of Innocence!

message 2842: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) This is very true, but I need to think about what exactly to write in the synopsis!

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "This is very true, but I need to think about what exactly to write in the synopsis!"

Yes but I doubt if inspiration will come in the form of a heavy metal mag!

Grease meets Glee type of stuff, a list of firsts - no not like the Ana and 50 shades type of firsts!

First kiss, first grope first date first time you sneaked out to the disco when you should have been on a youth club outing to another youth club. first time worse for wear for drink all the stuff you do when innocence is lost!

All the what ifs? Sneaking in to an 18 film sitting on the back row, touch feely exploration! The girl the went to far, and got pregerant being warned off someone else's boyfriend. Being grounded again!

message 2844: by Sharon (new)

Yep and what you can't provide I can fill in the blanks I was hell on legs, if only my parents had known half of the stuff I got up to I would have been grounded until I was thirty!

Use the synopsis as a vague plan of action, it is not one of Moses's tablets of stone it can be altered to suit as and when!

Size 8 is a whopping 42 in continental sizes! Thanks for offering to keep an eye out for me - I'm really into sandals at the mo and comfy flip flops! Not sure about France but here you can 't drive in flip flops - you have to have a back strap. That's fine but I can't be doing with buckles everywhere, I tend to get in pickle and find I often have to ask Simon to do them up for me! How pathetic am I? So much easier when you can just shove your feet into a pair of flip flops, but you can't do that if you're likely to be driving anywhere. Some of the rules over here are mad. You can't wear flip flops to drive as it's deemed dangerous, but you can ride a moped with just a riding hat on (ie not a proper crash helmet) and you don't have to wear leathers, in fact most people don't even bother with a shirt. Oh and your not supposed to carry parcels or shopping on your back seat, yet most people don't bother with seatbelts. Very odd.

Okay, like the bejewelled sort of flip flops a bit dressy type of stuff. No we're not supposed to drive in flip flops here either, oops good job plod didn't stop me today then cos I forgot I was wearing mine when I did the school run!
