Sounds like a good idea that, coffee. I try to be in bed before midnight, lol sometimes I succeed but it's very humid here today and I fell asleep after lunch, again! Spaghetti Bolognese Hola Sharon, Lol I only saw your post from yesterday when PJ replied to it, put it down to a blonde moment.

The lovely sunny day we were promised hasn't materialised fully. I dare bet tomorrow's rain won't leave us out though, I am so sick of this wet weather!

I've just come back from taking Alain his mobile, lol it spends more time in his pocket in the house than it does with him. The man from EDF laughed when I said he never takes his mobile, poor guy's been trying to contact him for a date to connect the electricity to the house all day!

message 2756: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Morning hun

Similar grey day today with a slight breeze have dehumidifier running, stone houses feel damp if you don't have heat on and it's too warm for a fire and daft as it sounds since I switched it on my knee hasn't hurt as bad! Duh why am I so blonde I should have twigged to that before, damp affects arthritis therefore reducing the moisture level in the house should help.

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Morning,

It is pretty grey here too, keeps trying to rain but it is so humid. Think that is what contributed to my bad breathing on Monday.

Almost finished book 3 and it just got very interesting!

Yes, I wonder which bit you came too, I'm not going to spoil it for you and tell you what happens!

I'm on Chapter 24 of Lillian's List, the tissues haven't been needed a few tearful moments. I think it may be because he is telling the story 1st party with flashbacks.

I have to go into town this morning new set of steps, Alain has my step ladder and my ladders at the house, I need to paint the lounge, with the wood burner it's pretty grubby and being light coffee colour doesn't look good. I'll do it now then when we move it will still be reasonable, going to paint it a dark colour and practice my stencilling.

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Ola Chica,

@ Sarah - I have just got to the bit where she has to get the £5m from the bank and she ahs lied to Christian to say she is leaving him. I think I am slowly working it out.

It is horribly sticky here as well Sharon.

Sharon wrote: "Like an idiot, I've just moved into a house with no aircon."

Hi Sharon, It's not quite as humid here today we have a breeze and some sun! Why don't you invest in one of the mobile aircon units? Beats melting, luckily for me the house is the same temperature winter and summer without heating having huge thick walls!

Yes I'm afraid it's not difficult to work out given 50 shades compulsive stalking!

message 2764: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I am afraid to say, I think I need the tissues.

Sharon wrote: "Oh no, that can't be good. Where abouts in Spain are you?"

We're in Almeria, Southern Spain. Part of the house is cool as it's practically a cave but the master bedroom is absolutely boiling! Thankfully my office is in the cool part but it's still uncomfortable. We're deffo aircon shopping at the weekend, last night was unbearable. We had a fan on but it was just pushing round warm air and when I opened the window, the outside air was even warmer!

We're renovating an old farm house so have given up the lovely villa we were renting to move into a village house - rent free. I hoping that the fact neither of us actually want to live in it will be a massive incentive to get our house done quickly so we can move out again!!

Oh god I know where you're coming from, Alain is renovating his grandmother's cottage, which has grown considerably in size we now have 132m2 as oppose the the 60 previous - 11 people lived in the 60m2 with no bathroom, no running water, and no toilet! Not to mention the earth floor downstairs and I'm not talking a hundred years ago I'm talking 1964!

I was gobsmacked when Alain told me! If you look on my photos you'll see the house now with its spanking new roof the original house is the bit in the middle!

Right I'm off to fetch my step ladders and paint polyfilla too and pick something up to heat up for lunch I'm having a can't be arsed day and the girls have eaten all the standby's. Talk later!

Ha ha! It's the same with the house we've bought. Cobbled walk way from the front door to the back room where there are honest to god troughs. Dirt floors in the rest of the house, no glass in the windows, just shutters, no running water, no bathroom and no electric. Someone's grandparents were living in it until the 70's/80's!!!! Unbelievable. Mind you, I am living in a village where they didn't have street lights until 5 years ago and the first car ever owned by a villager appeared in 1969! A different world isn't it!?

Oh god yes, his grandmothers had electricity, they must have been posh! Though no car until the first of Alain's brothers reached 18 and bought their own and no television until the mid 70's. Lol I was a spoilt brat according to Alain, we had television when I was born Dad got it for mum to watch either the royal wedding or the queen being crowned! We had a bathroom, toilet and carpets, fitted carpets in the 60's! A car too! I must have been posh, but then again my dad was a miner we had central heating too!

Lol I bet it's a better read than the original!

message 2771: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) A far better read. I am on chap 24 but I have to do some work. Not fair, I need to finish it. AArgh!!!

Quiche with pastry on? I used to make a yummy slimming quiche in the microwave with 0%fromage frais, 6 eggs 3 pieces of lean back bacon 1 med onion tub fromage frais mushrooms peppers whatever you fancy veg wise. mix it all up put it in large glass flan dish and cook until set, if your microwave has a grill use the dual setting and it browns it on top too. lovely with salad!

I just had to empty the dehumidifier 5 litres of water since 8.00 last night!

They are amazing especially upstairs in the winter when you can't have the windows open at night! Or when you are trying to dry washing in the house you know all the stuff you can't put in the tumble dryer!

What A blooming palaver, I changed my kindle over to amazon france to pick up some free books for Sophie and if I leave it there I can't get any free books worth reading from the 1q site to I had to change it back. You have to be mastermind in order to do it, three times before I tried and failed, I'll just go and buy sophies books it's easier.

Must cut my nails I keep hitting the wrong keys!

I had an exciting morning I was on site at the house at 8 this morning a delivery Alain arranged for this afternoon decided to come this morning. 7.30 this morning they rang me I told them they'd have to wait until just after 8 when I put Sophie in the taxi.

Alain is going to go balistic when he finds out!

Yep but that would have been better used at the beginning of the book, obviously an out-take.

I am making couscous for the girls warm them up I have to go to the bank and have a shower, not necessarily in that order!

I finally got the prologue to HOD exactly how I want it until I change something else and have to do another rewrite!

I decided to read it through and I edited small bits, nothing drastic but no doubt when you proof read for errors you will notice the subtle changes. I am looking for all red herrings I need to start tying up,
Like the woman who was killed in the hit and run and the tramp who needs to tell all to the police.

That's two I found that need explaining and I only got to chapter 10 or 11! Talk later.

Are they 50 shades as full of hanky panky? I think I'll give them a wide berth for now and concentrate on finishing HOD finding an Agent and let someoneone else worry about the release dates.

Still nothing from Raider, mind it is only just after 9.30 in New York!
