Yes, as far as I can see there is no reason for my book not to have been released, a year is a long, long time to have to wait and I am not prepared to let them get away with it. You pay for a service you expect to receive the said service within a reasonable time scale.
I feel a year and counting has depassed 'reasonable' and I am taking advice from my lawyer (and former boss.)
And yes please do send me the email address Rishika, though I am preparing my second finished novel for a tour of possible agents, it's in the process of being fine tuned and polished but it takes time.
Yeah it takes time, I still havent finished my first novel yet , and here is the e mail address editorial@leadstartcorp.com , you can e mail him, his name is omkar thakur , he is a indian, He has asked me to do partner ship with him. So I still havent completed my first novel, I dont know when will i finish it.
Rishika wrote: "Yeah it takes time, I still havent finished my first novel yet , and here is the e mail address editorial@leadstartcorp.com , you can e mail him, his name is omkar thakur , he is a indian, He has a..."It takes time, patience and determination to write a novel and even if it is never published you will deserve a round of applause, for not every person has the capability to start, let alone finish a novel of 80,000 to 100,000 words!
Thank you for the contact I will keep it on file until I have finished polishing.
Rishika wrote: "Alrite, how many chapters do we have to do in a novel? Since I have no clue... about it."The amount of chapters has no significance it is as many as you need to bring your story to its conclusion. There is no rule for how many chapters, you can have short chapters, medium or long, that is up to you.
My first novel has 78 chapters and 102,000 words give or take a few, my second 51 chapters and 118,000 words and my third I envisage around 40 chapters!
Maybe with experience you learn to limit the chapters better.
I hope so, since i need to finish that novel as soon as possible since he is asking me to submit it quickly.
Rishika wrote: "I hope so, since i need to finish that novel as soon as possible since he is asking me to submit it quickly."Don't rush it Rishika and risk spoiling the end result, I'm afraid you will just have to ask him to be patient, it's a virtue he should learn!
Rishika wrote: "Yeah thats what i should do...."Atta girl, stand up for yourself, right I have to cook lunch now for the family.
Have a nice weekend.
Morning HunI'm having a nice quiet lazy morning, Alain's taken Sophie and the dog I have to prepare the lunch and then I'm free to finish my book. I can't put the damn thing down, though it isn't having the effect on me I would have thought it might.
Though I can relate to Ana, but in a role reversal type of way. I'll explain in an email!
Morning,Jubilee is 2nd June here. Definitely need an extended long week end. Weekend was glorious here, I now have a base tan ready for Turkey, how long it will last is anybody's guess.
I finished the book, and I have to admit the ending brought tears to my eyes, I have to get the next one now, I need to know what is happening.
Sharon wrote: "I finished the book, and I have to admit the ending brought tears to my eyes, I have to get the next one now, I need to know what is happening."I'm about 80 pages from the end, should finish it today I think. See if you can find yourself a copy of Destiny, by Sally Beauman if you haven't already read it.
It is an amazing story, everyone of my friends that read it said the same thing, they wanted to finish the book but they didn't want the story to end. It was beguiling and probably one of only a handful of books I would be prepared to read again!
Sharon wrote: "Cool, I will look that one up and download it to my kindle, along with the other Fifty shades ;o)"I will have to put this book down and go and sort our lunch, its partially cooked, beef bourguignon I just have to add the mushrooms, little onions, carrots and smoked lardons to it and put it on to cook for an hour or so, we will have it with rice today, I'm sick of potatoes.
Sharon wrote: "I have salad again with left over meat from the BBQ. hmmm"I try not to do to much meat on the barbecue Sophie won't eat cold leftover meat, so the dog usually has a field day!
Done it lunch is on just leaves the dishes and the table and then I can make a coffee and put my feet up and finish the book!
Just ordered Destiny and part 2 and 3 of Fifty shades. Thats next weeks reading out of the way - lol ;o)
Sharon wrote: "Just ordered Destiny and part 2 and 3 of Fifty shades. Thats next weeks reading out of the way - lol ;o)"You will enjoy Destiny, you have mail by the way!
Sharon wrote: "Have read mail - very intriguing."Yep, he was a necessary diversion after my husband died, but I outgrew his childish behaviour, and after Jo's dad no one controls me! If they think they do they're in cuckoo land, I am the one in control now. lol maybe the idea of domination was his gift to me!
LOL.I wonder if the fifty shades goes deeper in the next ones etc. I think the first one was just to gently break us in to it. What do you think?
Sharon wrote: "LOL.I wonder if the fifty shades goes deeper in the next ones etc. I think the first one was just to gently break us in to it. What do you think?"
I want to say deeper in to what? If he gets any deeper in to Ana he'll be poking out the other side and she is such a hussy!
LOL - I was thinking more in to his warped mind and why he chooses to do what he does regardless of who he hurts on the way!
Sharon wrote: "LOL - I was thinking more in to his warped mind and why he chooses to do what he does regardless of who he hurts on the way!"Oh he's not deep, he's just messed up!
Sharon wrote: "Very true."Mmm lunch was yummy, Alain started his before I'd got the rice out into the dish, Masterchef apparently! He wiped his plate clean with a slice of bread, didn't want to waste the sauce!
He's taken mother a portion for her lunch tomorrow, at least we know that two days this week she has eaten properly, she seems okay on the outside. What would help the most if people didn't keep coming round and telling her about other people that have died recently!
Bloody morbid, every time there's a funeral they all feel they have to go, even if they only know them from infant school!
Sharon wrote: "I just had my yummy salad, added a little bit of low fat Humous with it, nice and healthy."Yes but had it not been beef you would have much rather had what I had, wouldn't you!
Disappointed with the ending, that has got to be the worse ending in any book I have ever read.
This wasn't written as a trilogy, it was written as one book and they split it into three. Crafty now I have to read the other two, because if what I suspect is correct the second will have a naff ending too!
He'll not let her go, he will bend for her, yield to her demands but eventually it will go the way my experience did, and she will grow away from him!
He will have no choice but to either change or set her free!
Well the last one is called Fifty shades of Free or freed. But I thought it was a little sad the way he just let her go without opening up. That is all she wanted, all any girl wants ;o)
Sharon wrote: "Well the last one is called Fifty shades of Free or freed. But I thought it was a little sad the way he just let her go without opening up. Been there, got the t shirt in role reversal! Too close to the bone to explain here! Email coming your way!
Sharon wrote: "OK.But I think she will be a wet weekend in the next one and beg him to take her back anyway."
I want to know how someone got into my subconscious and borrowed my story and reversed the roles! One of the things that stopped me dumping him loads of times was the great *** but the roller coaster rides of hellfire and terror I could live without!
I don't regret being with him for the first three months it was good, it went downhill after that, he was jealous of my relationship with my daughters. He was a trou de cul of momentus proportions!
Sharon wrote: "OK.But I think she will be a wet weekend in the next one and beg him to take her back anyway."
No to start with he'll stalk her I think he won't be able to help himself.
What a prick. I really don't know why men think it makes them more manly to be such a control freak.
Sharon wrote: "What a prick. I really don't know why men think it makes them more manly to be such a control freak."lol I blame their mothers! Though he was screwed up by his father, no wonder he was a misfit! He didn't impart the information about his father until we'd split up, I called him from time to time to make sure he was okay. Stupid I know, but it wasn't all hearts and flowers with Alain to start with, he was one selfish SOB and then I had his mother spitting fire and brimstone at me too. I didn't know whether I was on my arse or my elbow it was like a fast flowing game of charades and I was the one coming second all the while!
It was the lightning strike on the house, and more importantly Sophie's bedroom that turned Alain into a normal caring human being. The thought of losing sophie and me was too much for him, and his mother didn't offer to help that finished it. That's why she lost out to me.
Sharon wrote: "But she has come round to you now thankfully."Yes, thankfully or it would have been an impossible situation to be in. I'm her favourite, Lol from the sublime to the extreme, it took some time I decided to kill her with kindness. Metaphorically not actually I hasten to add.
You will be pleased to note I started chapter nineteen, well I typed chapter nineteen and now I'm staring at the blank page, after re reading the last two chapters to re aquaint myself with the action!
Sharon wrote: "Excellent, I look forward to reading it."Err I only just started it could be a long wait, depending on what pops into my head in the next hour or so until Alain and Sophie come back!
MorningMr grumpy just got up and starts shouting at me because I'm on the computer, I got up at 7.30 I think what I do with my time is my business.
Men can be such arseholes!
Sharon wrote: "MorningWhy did he shout because you are up and on the computer?"
Must have got out of bed the wrong side, don't worry next time the rule is when I'm up everyone's up I'll put the hoover on deliberately and the music, washing machine, dishwasher, make a cake use the blender!
Sharon wrote: "Typical men."Mmm, well two can play at that game! There was me keeping quiet so he could have a lie in! I replied to a rare email from Chris's wife, bless her it took me a while to decipher some of it, I couldn't figure out what a genuine pig was for a while - guinea pig she nearly had all the right letters but in the wrong order!
Jo's nearly as bad, but that's the fault of the school for changing the way they read, from normal to phonetically, and the consequence of that is that she can't spell for toffee!
