You will never regret it, think of all the fun you can have, surfing, water skiing you can't do them if you can't swim!

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Ingrid wrote: ":)i have never tried regular skiing before even. is it fun?"
Water skiing is great fun, even if like me you never manage to stay on top long enough! I spent a whole day learning I fell forward, backwards sideways in fact everywhich way. I had a great day swallowed gallons and the next day I found muscles I never knew I had! I couldn't even squeeze the toothpaste tube without using two hands!

I love surfing, though I think I am a little too old now, my late husband and the surf rescue team of Maenporth taught me!

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Ingrid wrote: "cool. how long have you been surfing?"

Since I was 15 some 40 years but I haven't done any for a few years

message 155: by Jo (new)

Jo | 44 comments awesome, but I'm not a big fan of sport. I'm more passive than active, except for hiking.

message 158: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) So how are you Ingrid?

message 159: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Hey thats a good start. Keep up the good work. I am OK, just bored with work here at the moment, want to actually do somemore writing but not getting a chance.

message 160: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Well my poetry book is ready and waiting to go to the publishers but I am working on my novel at the moment. Well that is when I can find the time.

message 161: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I will try but that is when I have to do the housework. Plus my stepdaughter is round and it is certainly hard to concentrate, but you are right, I really should find the time.

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments @ Ingrid you asked if there are anagram generator programmes yesterday. I looked there are but they don't seem to understand we want to create a new name by using the anagram process. Your name comes up as

Infernal King Kid!

message 166: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Not a lot how are you?
I'm trying to work but I keep playing hookey! I am trying to write a prologue, though I should be concentrating on writing the last few chapters but it's not working at the moment. So I am trying something else to help clear the block. I had to leave this to do the editing, it will sort itself out, eventually. I'll try writing a poem, if this doesn't work. That usually helps or read.

message 167: by Audrey ~ EXO-L (new)

Audrey ~ EXO-L (lunewhisper7) I'm okay. It's just my big sister and I over here. She's sleeping away. She's like a log. Hehe!

message 176: by Sharon (new)

I never know what time Alain will turn up for dinner, it's a good jobI'm flexible and don't have set mealtimes like his mother. Yesterday he arrived at mine at 2.20 today he turned up at 1.30! How can you plan lunch around that!

message 182: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Sandwiches work a treat - LOL.

So much for me being naughty and attempting to write today, I have not stopped in this bloomin' office. BUT, I have just found some old Writer's Forum magazines on my shelf which I am going to take home and read through on the train for inspiration. Like old competitions to see if I can produce the short stories etc.

How was the rest of your day apart from Lunch?

Naughty but nice! I gave Alain a surprise after lunch.

Then my friend telephoned from England in tears because she failed her driving test! She was hoping to be able to come back permanent to France but her toy boy said she has to be able to drive, we all live in the middle of nowhere, without a car you're shafted!

I volunteered to be driving instructor while she is here on holiday, I'm to soft for my own good sometimes but she is always bringing things round for Sophie! and she did design the cover for my book and until I get some sales I can't pay her so this is a little advance on her commission!

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Cool, I look forward to it.

I ahve almost finished my clinic for today thankfully.

When we was in that other group you commented on my novel, the Words of an Angel, but as I deleted my membership there I lost the comment, I don't suppose you have a rough idea of what you said to me regarding the friendship between Angel and the Diary?

Yes I think I can, it was to do with talking personally to it rather than starting each entry with a formal hello. For instance I think I said that when she left to go to school and then came back later in the day just to say sorry I have been away so long, or today seemed to last forever, I miss you when I have to leave like that. Does that help?

I can't stop sneezing! I'm going to take an antihistamine and then make a start on the sauce for my bolognaise!

message 190: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Yes that does help thank you. I am hoping to do some work on it later this afternoon. Your help is much appreciated.

Former chef, the only thing he doesn't like is ratatouille, partly because he doesn't like peppers, courgettes or aubergines! So I make it and then liquidise it and serve it as a sauce! Mean aren't I!
