Jp (themightyguest) | 37 comments I've got a goof project I do while I'm at work just to keep myself limber. I have a group of friends I've been chronicling my playthrough of a certian videogame. Basically I'm telling it from the perspective of the character, but playing it for laughs. It's a super serious game, but I've liberally applied a good dose of absurdity to the whole thing.

It passes the minutes.

That's both you and Sharon goofing off when you should be working! I like it, I never had a job where I could do that, the dragon in charge of the office I worked in didn't like me, because I had influential friends in most of the departments. And people liked me, they would stop and chat, and she would bob up and down like a merecat, and give me the glare of death!

Does that mean what you're writing is naughty or just that you are writing in office time?

I have just done that with my latest novel, I edited the previous chapter and then started on the next.

It works for me, hope it works for you too!

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) @ Sarah - a bit of both. Just finished a new poem, shall I send it to you?

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "@ Sarah - a bit of both. Just finished a new poem, shall I send it to you?"

Yep, send it through. I am in pensive mode what to do with Naomi apart from the obvious, to kill or not to kill. I think he's going to have a little fun first, nudge, nudge, no what I mean, a nod's as good as a wink!

message 1908: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Absolutely, maybe not kill her outright but leave her for dead before he goes on the run!

message 1909: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) @JP, if you want to read it to, you may have to message me.

Wouldn't have mattered if she'd read it she wouldn't have understood it!

I am being pressured to relinquish my spot on Sophie wants to go online for a while! Have a nice long weekend talk to you Monday!

message 1918: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Hi there anyone around? I have just had the most amazing experience ever - self hypnosis, and it must have really worked because I have high blood pressure and both the systolic and diastolic pressures dropped considerably, my Doctor would be gob smacked!

message 1919: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Morning hun

Weather her grey, dry at the moment but it doesn't look promising. Alain and Sophie have gone to fetch the bread and then to his mothers while I think about cooking lunch!

Roast pork and all the trimmings today, well its a bank holiday here, I'm going to slap the meat in the oven and then listen to my self hypnosis recording for half an hour while I have total calm.

Using this since Saturday I have managed to bring my bp right down to near normal from ridiculous! I'll forward a link for you to download it, it would be great for your dad and you too help you to sleep!

message 1920: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Cool thanks hun. It is very grey here too and has not stopped raining all weekend. Funny though, back to work today and it is dry but does look like rain is on the way again.

Suns trying to come out here! Oh I forgot to say the first three self hypnosis sessions are absolutely free!

Meats in now I have to go finish the washing up and then peel spuds, I hate peeling spuds!

message 1922: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I know that is one of the worst jobs.

have you sent the link yet?

message 1923: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "I know that is one of the worst jobs.

No I'm just about to, I just finished the dreaded spuds I prefer to eat rice with everything! No preparation required you just drop the bag into water and cook it.

And yes I'm that lazy I buy it portioned out in a bag, that way I don't waste it! I forget there are usually only two of us eating it!

message 1924: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I buy the microwave rice, even quicker - lol

message 1925: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "I buy the microwave rice, even quicker - lol"

I would but my microwave is temperamental, it cuts out when we move it will go in the wendy house along with the old fridge and I will buy new ones. It should be with you now!

message 1926: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) OK, I will have a look at it, might have to wait till I get home but thank you.

Oh you'll definitely have to wait until you get home it takes half an hour in a nice comfortable position and total silence no phone, no tele nothing but the recording. Did you send the request, that you could do now and then confirm and download when you get home.

message 1928: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) No I didn't, I will have another look.

message 1929: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "No I didn't, I will have another look."

I had a voucher for a discount store on line and I treated myself to an MP3 player, that way I can download them onto a memory card and shove my earphones in my ears and block everyone out!

message 1930: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) What a good idea. I might be able to download it on to my phone.

message 1931: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "What a good idea. I might be able to download it on to my phone."

My phone is a basic bog standard, sends texts and phones people, when I remeber to buy credit! Its an emergency only phone, if I put 20 Euros on it should last me all year!

message 1932: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) LOL - my phone is basically my computer as well. All my emails go through it. And I am on contract. At least that way, I have unlimited internet, texts and calls.

I don't go anywhere or do anything to warrant having that kind of technology, no doubt Sophie will want it when she's older! Like 18 and she can pay!

message 1934: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) That is a good idea. If I was Renee's mother, I would not let her have a mobile phone.

message 1935: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "That is a good idea. If I was Renee's mother, I would not let her have a mobile phone."

I had the same conversation with my sister when she bought her 10 year old a mobile, there is no need for Sophie to have a phone. She is picked up by taxi every morning and dropped at the door of an evening, we have a phone at home who does she need to call?

I think the schools should ban the children bringing them into school! We are going to have this fight in a couple of years time when she is at the Lycee, because everyone else has a phone!

message 1936: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I think it is stupid and Renee is sometimes too stupid. SHe walks around constantly texting etc. SHe almost walked straight in to a lamp post the other day she stopped mms from smashing her face in.

Yep I know I've seen them, it's like their super glued to their phones!

I am going to stick to my guns on this one, no phone until she is at least 16 and then it will be a bog standard like mine to ring home and text, blocked for everything I don't consider she needs and pay as you go with a limit set for the month of 10 Euros she goes over that the first week, tough no phone for three weeks! And yes I'm prepared to stand by this! Lol she is going to hate me!

I just checked my BP 132/91 which is an amazing result for me, with the Doctors conventional Beta Blockers it has been as high as 190/105! All this is being acheived with natural herbal medicine, Horse Chestnut/hawthorne berry extracts, olive leaf extract,
Maca, passiflora! Even the Argan oil works for lowering the blood pressure it's in a similar group to olive oil, which as most people know is good for the heart.

Oh and not forgetting the self hypnosis, reducing the stress by relaxation.

message 1939: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) That is good news. Who needs doctors anyway?

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "That is good news. Who needs doctors anyway?"

There always good to have around for back up, but don't forget I have just found myself one who prescribes natural homeopathic remedies for everything. Who needs chemicals I think should be the response, if you look at all the problems I had whilst taking beta blockers, which left me unable to stand, let alone walk!

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Hi Sharon

Hows you today, I've just done my lunch run, for the girls and then lunch for us. It's okay but it ties me up for the day!

I am just finishing my coffee and then I will light the fire, its damp outside and stone houses absorb the moisture making it cold and damp inside.

Then I am going to do my relaxation for half an hour, did you get chance to take a look at it last night? If you do it before bedtime it might help you sleep.

Usually a banana skin leaves little room for control or tehcnique. Children do some funny things too, my Sophie was so tired one evening she fell asleep eating her spaghetti bolognaise, yep face first into the plate and never woke up. She would only be about 1 year old I can't find the photo we took which is a shame or I'd have put it on my wall!

message 1945: by Sarah (last edited May 09, 2012 09:04AM) (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments I just spent a productive couple of minutes taking advantage of vistaprints freebies, okay I know the postage covers their costs but I so far have 2 mugs, 1 T shirt, 1 baseball cap and 2 calenders and a poster all printed with the cover of my soon to be released debut novel! I'm happy, their happy, everyone's happy!

message 1946: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I use vista print too. I did a gothic calendar last year with one of my poems on each page, I loved it and so did my mum. :o)

I have the chance of 3 mugs for the price of 1 or another free, 3 t shirts same offer and a few other freebies, Alain will wear the baseball cap when he plays palets, well it pays to advertise! I need to get another baseball cap because Sophie will be bound to want one, Jo too oh bum lets hope there's a three for one offer on them too soon!

Nothing in the mail from Adam yet!

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) How can he run a business like that, take your money and then hear nothing else from them.

I do find Vista pretty good. Is there one in France or is it coming from UK?

On the first question I don't know but if he was thinking I'd be a pushover he was wrong!

There's a French version, I still get my stuff printed in English Lol or I would have to go to the English site.

I am being bombarded with chances to win Ikea vouchers I filled the same questionaire in twice, once for 3000 Euros of vouchers the second for 1500 euros vouchers. Pay for the new kitchen that, I did one the other day to win a new car, a Mac Air book an I phone. Reason I am doing them, I bought a hypnosis tape on how to attact money, I have only listened to it once and wham all these things drop in my lap, so I thought what the hell costs me nothing and if I only pull one of them off its better than a smack in the mouth!

message 1950: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I totally agree. The more the better.
