No you wouldn't they'd use you in taste testing - a bit like a wine taster only you get to swallow the product!

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Hmm, I think I could do that with no problem

Yep I never had a problem with that either. That was my problem it came to the point were I had to make a choice - be fat and happy and stuck with a husband I despised or stop eating chocolate and do something about it!

It was hard giving up the chocolate!

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) LOL - I know what you mean, not eating much myself at the moment thanks to the diet.

Bad move - not eating causes your body to shut down in retaliation, so every time you cut back on the amount you eat your body cuts back too and slows your metabolic rate -- thereby making it harder for you to lose the weight.

There was a diet I did printed in the Daily Mail that focused on eating just 30 grammes of fat per day as oppose to 70 grammes but you could eat up to 2000 calories a day as long as you didn't depass the magic 30 grammes. You could eat less fat if you wanted to save up to go and splurge on a burger at the weekend and alcohol was not a problem you could drink if you wanted without counting it.

I lost my list of foods giving their fat content in grammes somewhere in between here and England which is a bummer. As long as you can count to 30 and read nutritional labels and add up you would lose weight - because when deprived of its daily dose your body turned to its store of fat and burnt that instead.

The end of cellulite, you got slim and firm at the same time! Try the Daily Mails Archive department and if you find it send me a copy too!

Don't worry I've done exactly what you're doing and as soon as I stopped dieting I put on all I'd lost plus some. That diet was the only one that worked for me, because with the amount you could eat it didn't seem like a diet. You weren't hungry ever. Okay for a few days the lack of fat makes you push the 2000 to the limit but eventually your body gets the message and it calms down.

I used to sit and watch telly with a bowl of sugar puffs - free food no fat content plus its the only way I can eat them because when you put milk on them they go soggy and the honey sweetens the milk yuk! Tinned rice pudding was good to - and when I got an attack of the munchies I'd eat the whole tin full cold beans and spaghetti in tomato sauce too!

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Morning hun

Well its almost afternoon here I went back to bed this morning after Soph left sore throat still there and I was up late writing a pleading email to an Agent fingers crossed.

Mrs Robinson has moved out of the fire and into the frying pan it would seem. I tried hard not to laugh honest!

Her husband seems to have forgotten the existance of the little piece of paper entitled Decree Absolute! Thinks he can order her about as if nothing happened!

She's already rung the trou de cul and told him that everything is his fault!

I'm keeping well out of it!

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Best solution there. I am fighting to find my desk this morning, I think maybe I had better do some filing and get rid of the files I have everywhere. Oh the joys lol

Hey I fight to find mine every day. One day I will find a spare week to sort out all the stuff I print out for research purposes and file it too!

One day, before the end of the world. Maybe!

message 1525: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Filing is bloody boring, well it is here anyway.

message 1526: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "Filing is bloody boring, well it is here anyway."

Filing always has been bloody boring, that's why usually it is given to the office juniors to do! Character building stuff that! They used to send me into the filing room with the spiders and cobwebbs and Old Sam. Old Sam was the ghost and who one night frightened my boss to death.

He was working late alone in the office (well he only had to ask I would have stayed honest he was a bit of alright was Graham, married but then again so was I!) I digress he heard the door at the bottom of the stairs open and close footsteps on the stairs the top door open more footsteps up the three flights of stairs to the secretary's domain. In the attic best place to shove us apparently closer to the ghosts. He like a plank went around switching all the lights on and investigated no one. He heard a door open upstairs when he reached the front office and didn't stop to wait he grabbed his coat and keys and shot out of there like the devil was after him.

He was petrified - wouldn't stay behind on his own after that!

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Don't blame him really. Well my hospital used to be an old convent and I swear there is something here.

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "Don't blame him really. Well my hospital used to be an old convent and I swear there is something here."

Just what I need more ghosts - tell all!

I have at least three different ones here, one night we were all in the garage our equivalent of a conservatory never had a car inside has a huge table and a dozen or so chairs and there's still room for more we have seated 22 for a meal in there one night.

I'm digressing again well there was Alain me, Herve Jo and Sophie and Anthony we had put Leon to bed we heard someone walk across the bedroom floor so Jo went up to make sure Leon was alright. she came back down looking a bit shaky and filled her glass before she spoke. Leon okay says I did he need the toilet? Leons fast asleep but someones switched the light on and opened the door!

Alain said it was probably one of the others and fetched them from the computer. No they hadn't seen or heard anything. We all heard it clearly. I've seen it walk past the garage it's touched me on my arm in bed and done other things or tried too. I now have a cruxifix in both rooms at the side of the bed and I'm not Catholic!

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "Now that is spooky. Nothing happened here just get that eerie feeling."

I can't wait to meet the new ghosts at Penvern, his mother said Alain's grandmother didn't like her very much and used to beat her with a walking stick.

Try that with me bitch and I'll have you sent to purgatory says I to no one whilst standing in the house on my own!

message 1531: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) LOL, you think she will follow you all there?

message 1532: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "LOL, you think she will follow you all there?"

No I think she's already settled in and waiting for me she used to sleep next to the fire in the kitchen!

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "Hmmm not great then"

Be interesting to see who leaves first! Alain is a non believer so unless she hits him with her walking stick he wouldn't believe me - Cruxifix in every room I think don't you!

message 1535: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) absolutely and maybe get it blessed etc

message 1536: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "absolutely and maybe get it blessed etc"

I don't think the priest would come to the house, Alain is not, how would you say 'tactful' in regard to opening his mouth without thinking!

I'll just pop into the church with a little bottle and get me own holy water and sprinkle it about and say a simple prayer.

He's promised to take Sophie to the Mass in Quelven on sunday 1st April he reckons the whole of Guern will know he's lost his marbles or found god by the end of the day!

message 1537: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Why is he taking her to mass on Sunday? Is Sophie religious?

message 1538: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "Why is he taking her to mass on Sunday? Is Sophie religious?"

No she goes to a catholic school although she is a protestant she has been christened but if she wants to change her religion that I will leave up to her.

She just wants to see what all her friends do every Sunday - and go to the bar with Alain for a diablo fraise after of course!

message 1539: by Sharon (new)

LOL What do you think is in the goblet the priest gives you for the communion? I know the parole is blood of christ but trust me its nearer to a nice port!

message 1541: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I have been christened and confirmed (CofE) so that I can except the body and blood of christ and it is like a sherry with water added - not too great but I know the priest loves it - LOL

Lol they don't add water to it when they drink it in the vestry I'm sure!

I just sent you through chapter 12 yes its safe I eventually managed to get it printed off and read it out loud last night and I only changed four words!

That must be a record I think, but then I had chopped and hacked at it most of yesterday around the part of Naomi you'll love what Bastian asks Troy! Grace of a fisherman from your neck of the woods who used to come to a friends lake for the weeks fishing and I did take away food for them! He said he wished his missus could cook like me. but then again she had other engaging qualities - when my late husband asked what he replied 'she swallow's well'!

Yeah good job because it would have definitely put you off a milkshake!

I remember every funny or sarcastic thing everyone has ever said or done and one day they will all end up in a book. Maybe not in the same book or that would be the size of War and Peace!

message 1549: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Working them in gradually to each one of your novels works better. At least my milkshake is vanilla flavour ;o)

message 1550: by Sarah (new)
