Hello, I'm doing well; just doing schoolwork and not much else.

How're you?"

Fine, where abouts in the world are you?"

Western PA, where the rain seems to camp out lately.

You?

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Hi Theaftermath, Well I am at work at the moment but can't wait to leave so i can continue reading Sarah R's book. I notice you like MvF, I love watching that programme. I would like to know where Adam puts all that food though!

I am in Sunny London

Brittany, France were it is threatening to do the same! Better it does it today I would hate it to rain on the 14th on the village picnic!

Grr.. Cloudy Brittany! Like old times this!

message 105: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I think we have rain coming too, as per usual with the typical british weather.

You love MvF, too? I'm not alone! :D

Yeah, he always says that the hardest part of the challenge "is after the food digests." XD

A village pinic sounds quite nice.

Should be fun, if it stays dry, and no one falls in the lake!

message 109: by Sharon (last edited Jul 12, 2011 08:30AM) (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) @ Sarah R, No I think that might be Bear Grylls.

@ theaftermath, I wouldn't mind trying the sweeter challenges but not the hot or the meaty ones.

message 110: by Theaftermath (new)

Theaftermath | 51 comments @Sarah R: Nah, that's Bear Grylls or the Dual Survivor guys.

@Sharon: Like the Kitchen Sink challenge with all of the ice cream? Yeah, that would be pretty good... :d

I would probably prefer the spicier challenges, though. I have a love for spicy foods, so I'd probably run through a couple of them with no problem; the Four Horsemen burger would be a no-no for me.

message 111: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) No that was a bit too much!

message 112: by Theaftermath (new)

Theaftermath | 51 comments Sharon wrote: "No that was a bit too much!"

While it looked great, it nearly made me cringe, too. Two gallons worth of ice scream plus toppings is overkill.

message 113: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) and a major brain freeze!

Oh, I don't know, depends who's ice cream! Cheap and nasty no, but something like Thorntons (if they still do ice cream) now that I could hack. How about a chocolate challenge, I am expert at that, I used to work at Thorntons, good job they didn't weigh you at the end of the day! But not the ones with the castor sugar on berk, they are awful!

message 115: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I am up for a chocolate challenge, I love chocolate except white choclate, I find that too sickly - LOL

I'm a milky bar kid, I love it, milk, plain, white I'm not fussy, just bring it on! LOL

message 117: by Theaftermath (new)

Theaftermath | 51 comments A chocolate challenge would be something.

Oh, there was the Seven Malt challenge, where you would have to drink a lot of milkshakes and then seven malts! You could just go with chocolate for all of those.

message 118: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Milk and Plain for me!

That would do me, I don't drink milk! I get my calcium from yoghurt and cheese though I do like rice pudding. They had to force me to drink milk when I was expecting my three children!

message 120: by Theaftermath (new)

Theaftermath | 51 comments I'd probably get vanilla, chocolate, cookie dough, and maybe strawberry.

message 121: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Or definitely something with caramel in hmmm, my mouth is watering now.

message 122: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Theaftermath wrote: "I'd probably get vanilla, chocolate, cookie dough, and maybe strawberry."

I tried the cookie dough Ice cream, not partial,to that.

Lemon meringue, bannana, double chocolate chip, creme brulee, and raspberry ripple!

message 123: by Theaftermath (new)

Theaftermath | 51 comments Ohh, caramel...that sounds like a really good milkshake.

message 124: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments I was talking ice cream, though I do like home made bannana milkshake, with fresh bannanas and vanilla ice cream with a dash of kahlua!

My favourite movie I think would have to be Pretty Woman and my favourite TV show is more difficult (I live in France and don't get to watch much stuff in English) but I think I would have to plump for either 'Lie to me' or The Mentalist!

message 129: by Sharon (last edited Jul 13, 2011 01:28AM) (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) I am definitely with you on the Mentalist, Season 4 will be starting soon and the lovely Simon Baker has signed up to keep going up to Series 7. As for my favourite film, it is both, Never Been Kissed and The Rocky Horror Picture Show...

As Sharon says Simon Baker is lovely, and I hope they won't keep us waiting to long for the next instalment. It is one of the few programmes I get to watch in English. I live in France and have TNT but I have a flat screen tv and you can programme the language I have mine set to English and anything that can be watched in your chosen language automatically plays in that mode until ordered otherwise.

message 135: by Gayatri (new)

Morning All

Sophie is still in bed! Lazy bones mind she ran herself ragged yesterday at the picnic. I had better get my skates on or they will be here for lunch and I will still be clearing the table!!

message 138: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) Sophie didn't fall in the lake did she?

message 139: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Sharon wrote: "Sophie didn't fall in the lake did she?"

No, no one did bit disappointing really! The nearest anyone came was Alain's nephew he fell down slightly nissed as a pewt about 20 yards away. I think he could have tried harder!

message 140: by Jo (new)

Jo | 44 comments speaking falling in the lake, I remember myself fallen in the river and almost got drowned during a schooltrip. But I got saved by one of the hot dudes in my class XD. I can't believe I'm saying this, it was an awesome experience XD.

message 141: by Anna (new)

Anna (SylviaGrant) I love it when Mia from Princess Diaries falls into the pond and comes out dripping wet except that I wouldn't like to be kissed by the prince who kissed her though. :P

message 142: by Jo (new)

Jo | 44 comments I can't swim XD. It's because it's a life and death experience and I survived and got saved by an awesome dude. It's kinda like I'm in a movie.

Ooh girl, you need to learn to swim, there may not always be a handsome dude on hand to pull you out!

message 144: by Jo (new)

I took my driving test three times but I didn't give up!
Persevers Jo! Were in the world are you? I'm in France.

message 147: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Weldon (sarahrweldon-author) | 6045 comments Jo wrote: "I'm in Aruba, it's a tropical island. Very tiny island."

I know of your island, my late husband was an engineer on the oil tankers and has told me some funny stories about the bars in Aruba back in the 70's! Your English is very good, but living on an island and not being able to swim is very dangerous!

message 148: by Jo (new)

Jo | 44 comments oh that, atleast on the sea is different than the streams. Cuz the salt will lift me up, I just don't have experience with rivers, but I do with sea. Though not a good swimmer.

And thank you, I still have to improve more with english though, because my grammar is not that good. So that's also one of my difficulty in writing.

About the bars, there are lots of funny stories. My family owns a bar XD.

That's quite funny, I'm afraid I cannot remember the name of the bars they used to frequent. I think it would have been near the port.

I learnt in under a week, mind it was a long time ago my dad paid for private lessons because I was going to Holland on the ferry and he was naturally worried. If you're not frightened of the water you will pick it up quickly!
